Hope you don't mind the slightly lower quality of production on this one. It was filmed quickly on my iPhone, so it's a bit grainy as the light wasn't great. This was by request, so please let me know if there are any other hints and tips I can help you with.

Either this tool or the Bergeon is the one I'm eyeing for. Hopefully there's a bank holiday deal next week.

What size screwdriver to remove links on this Tudor GMT? I have a Bergeon 1.60 but seems too big. It’s number 5971. Nice tutorial on removing bracelet thank you.

my sausage shaped fingers are not ideal for this task, so i normally just pop into my local jeweller, who seems happy to do the task FOC (although i do use him for servicing etc) I will give one of these tweezer type tools ago

Great video, 100% worked coming off, and it didn't work 100% going back on lolololol Please if your bored film the video on a better angle so we can see how you clamped the spring bars, because still to this day I can't get the steel bracelet back on my Tudor GMT, so since I can't do it here no way would I even think about it on my BLNR
thank you again and all the best.

Great you got it off! It’s a challenge doing these vids without getting the hands in the way. To put back on you almost want the pin the bracelet down to the bench with the tool, while pinching the spring bar. Don’t let it move. Now just slide the watch head on to the bracelet. Make sure they are aligned and carefully release the tool. Easier said than done, I know. Practice before letting rip on the Rolex, and tape it up.

I used the tape, you talk about
Which is good but when using the tweezers, you are squeezing together.
Maybe ill try using the Bergeron 6111 tool, I just purchased to get back on.
I was using a Barton spring bar tool before the tweezers and it was only good for my Mido Ocean Star GMT and my Seiko SKX009 (Tweezers are Horofix).
Ok sorry to bore all. Thanks again appreciate your videos & your opinion
Oh I just purchased Nato Straps all Crown & Buckle. All the reviews look good, but im waiting on the OEM Tudor strap for the GMT too. (Hint hint another video) all the best to you & yours.

Just to update you on my trying to get the bracelet back on. I broke the spring bar & a hair or two scratches lol I'm not upset, love the watch and keeping it forever anyway.
      All the best.

I have the cheap ones on the page, but not the new, black ones. They’re quite new, so will get round to it. See link below for now. Sadly the discount is no longer on:

Nice video, but felt a little concerned when you were putting the bracelet back on, especially with the recoil of the tool raising the risk of a scratch or two.

    • @TheEnglishWatch
      @TheEnglishWatch  Před 3 lety +1

Yeah, it’s not a real tool as it’s too flexible, but no harm done. I tend to tape every time usually.

You can, but they’re as likely to scratch it in my experience. It’s not for everyone, but some of us like to tinker.

I’m sure if you went to the dealer you bought it from they would.
