- Here's another weekly menu for our big family. I get a lot of people ask me how I come up with a different meals and sometimes I just think of them myself other times I'II see a recipe and I'II get some ideas from it and definitely I will deconstructed and change it up to make it my own. But then a lot of times my kids and my husband will give me some ideas or maybe they saw something and they'll tell me about it so then l'll kinda write everything down in my yellow notebook and kind of make my own recipe out of it.
But our weekly menu is done with everybody. I'll ask them what they like for dinner and usually Robert will say the same thing every week and it is chicken pot pie or homemade mac & cheese. And Hailey will literally ask for chicken pot pie even more than Robert. Each of my kids and my husband have a favorite dinner that they like me to make often but I've been trying really hard to try some new things to kind a Spark up. Our dinner is a little bit. But we do l'll do it as a family and sometimes I'm right on with the weekly menu and other times we just get so busy that it doesn't go as planned but it's nice to have it because it does help me to be more organized with my meal prep and my grocery Hauls to make sure I have everything I need to make those dinners
So I started my new page a day in the life of mama Bell and CZcams took it down and said it was spam and that I broke a ton of violations even though I posted literally one video and when I went to try and retrieve it, they said my email wasn’t right even though that’s the email that’s part of the page so I don’t know what happened there if I got reported or somebody didn’t want me to put that up and I kind of got sabotage I really don’t know what happened there but that page is a no go . And I’m very sad about it so I had a lot of ideas to share with you guys just about mom life but I want it to be different something that just maybe as a parent you want to see just certain things instead of like a whole family videos but that’s OK. I’ll just keep posting on this page. Hopefully they don’t try and take this one down to.

So here is the weekly menu board:
Sunday was kraft, macaroni and cheese with all beef hotdogs
Monday was big beef burritos and toaster quesadillas
Tuesday was old fashion pot roast
Wednesday is creamy dill salmon with grilled veggies
Thursday is homemade beef stew
Friday is dollar tree dinner we're making homemade pizzas for Izzy's birthday party
Saturday is Izzy's 18th birthday and we're making pork Carnitas and of course will have cake

I've never heard of putting the quesadillas in the toaster, but now I feel like I have to try it! ♥I feel your pain on the birthdays - as a momma of 10, we have 5 birthdays in 4 weeks, but ours are in fall. By the end, I think everyone gets a little tired of celebrating. 🎉🎈🎈
Maybe you should try picking a dollar amount and shop the cheapest place to get it. Maybe $25 for a big family meal. Just a thought.

The pizza crusts at Dollar Tree are really good with pesto for sauce and mozzarella and fresh tomato slices. I also add fresh mushrooms to mine. Yumm!!

It’s like a quesadilla pop tart. Happy birthday to Izzy this week. My husband had a birthday on the 27th. We went on a road trip to Wyoming and then went to Mt Rushmore on the 27th. It’s was so fun. 😊
Cooked 2 days ago on my grill. Used cast iron skillet to make potato wedges. Amazing.
Then yesterday the temp dropped and storms rolled in. I’m ready for grill season. ❤

Maybe switch the Dollar Tree Dinner to a "markdown" dinner. Look at the regular grocery store for marked down items including the protein and fresh veggies. I find that stuff all the time at different local grocery stores.
I love that you share what your having for dinner. But I would love to see you do a week of meals with what you have in your freezers and pantry

Love the menu! 😋 I made salmon the other day, then flaked the leftovers for salmon cakes the next night and served it with a lemon dill aioli and steamed broccoli. Just another way to use that yummy salmon 😁
Dollar tree dinner idea ..maybe - some sort of pasta bake ? Some of the sauces have meat in them (or vegetarian night) and fresh is best but ,frozen veggies, and maybe a garlic style bread ?? Or tuna melts and a pasta salad . Have been trying to challenge my budget too !! I enjoy ideas from your video’s !!! Thought I’d share a couple of my ideas with you 😊

My kids are 26, 22 and 19 they still like mac n cheese with hot dogs or when I wrap the hot dogs in refrigerator biscuits with cheese, bake those and serve them with mac n cheese.
I'm over mac n cheese with hot dogs, so when I make it, I take mine out before adding the hot dogs, and I add a can of tuna to mine.
I find it cheaper to go to Walmart for most stuff compared to $ tree bit they do have some really good buys.
Oh mac and cheese that brings me to when my boys was little and i was busy working the whole day. Got home whipped up some mac and cheese and cooked some chicken popcorn (like the stuff you get from KFC not sure if you get it in the USA its here in Australia) Mix it all up and serve it they always come back for seconds every single time and it took no time to cook. Thanks for showing us what you meal plan for the week. I am always stuck on ideas and i try and meal plan when i do my weekly shopping but never stick to it. Maybe i need a menu board so noone bitches about what i am cooking.

Yes heather my kids ate hot dogs and mac and cheese - or beanie weenies and mac and cheese-they will still eat them if I make them - comfort memory food- they are all near 40
I'm almost 40 but my fave comfort foods are beenies and weenies and Mac n cheese with hot dogs and peas because my father made it for me from scratch when I was little 🧡
Maybe do a budget meal with a set dollar amount as a challenge in place of Dollar Tree dinners. That way you can shop wherever you need to make the limit. That would be fun! $20 dollar dinners?!?

I just learned something about chalk markers and tested it on all of mine (3 diff brands) you can pull the tip out and flip it over to go from chisel tip or bullet tip and vice versa! Who knew!
I made the sheet pan quesadillas for dinner last night and it was so good and EASY !! Now I’ve gotta do toaster ones for the kids lunch one day soon ❣️

If you’re doing Dollar Tree dinners, you HAVE to only use their ingredients!! I have faith you will find something that your family likes! And just use frozen veggies for one meal.
Make New Orleans dishes like Jambalaya, Gumbo, Red Bean and Rice, different types of Po-Boys and Beignets for dessert. Also use Lactaid milk in your recipes for your son that is lactose intolerance. That or Oatmilk does not bother me like other types of milk.

I was watching a dollar tree haul earlier- and fyi , they sell canned chicken a la king and they really rate it.

I know you've been trying to eat lighter with Hailey's wedding coming up. Would you try making a meatloaf using pork rinds in place of bread or crackers? I would also love to see you make your broccoli cheese soup.
I use rice Krispies in our meatloaf but would use pork rinds as well. I have a kiddo that is gluten free so I Haven't used bread crumbs for years!

Here are some ideas. Hot dagos with salad. Ruben sandwiches, boy scouts on the grill. Chicken grape pasta salad. Baked zitti. These are going off my grocery list. Lol. I do mac and cheese with alittle burger and veggies, my sons love it this way. Best of luck
