Nothing should ever be a "meal replacement." Every body is different and needs different nutrients in different amounts. Only consuming food made with the completely average person in mind will lead to health complications down the line.
Just because something is called a "meal replacement" doesnt mean they are telling you to drink it 3 or more times a day. Its mainly a supplement for those struggling to maintain adequate caloric intake.

@jackofastora8962 I've tried to look into the science of it but struggled to find anything conclusive although I'd certainly be a tad cautious of anything that strays from our intended evolutionary design since I thin that always has a chance of causing unintended consequences, but I do think it could also totally be fine. Also you really only need one good meal a day so replacing one or two wouldn't cause any issues. All three may be risky though.
@@Kyotosomo there’s nothing overtly wrong with soy, just how it’s advertised, which is as a replacement for meat entirely though it depends on who is advertising that’s the general consensus, and something i just don’t agree with personally
@jackofastora8962 I think if you can supplement the amino acids and other missing essentials what it's fine (arguably way healthier) although you're probably better off going with tempeh rather than soy if you're trying to stay low carb. I like the idea of meal supplements making things simple and saving time, but if you figure out the optimal nutrient balance and just have a few dishes you can probably be relatively time efficient just making a few dishes in bulk every now and then

@SasisaPlays For one, the ecological harm that soy beans have had in order to grow them to meet demands, and two, the phytoestrogens that lower testosterone as well as other health defects i.e. gynocomastia.

Honestly anyone pearl clutching about AntVenom "promoting soylent to children" as if it's pure HRT in a bottle is an idiot who gets all their opinions from 4chan, but responding in the way he did to this was the worst possible thing he could do, could've just made a "yeah yeah soyboy laugh it up" commment in the original ad and saved himself the trouble
