For all the young millionaires in professional sports. If you want to also have class, then look no further than Bobby Jones. He was dedicated to his craft, and clearly revolutionized the NBA. Because of him, I believe is why they created the Sixth Man Of The Year Award. Bobby Jones is loved by the city of Philadelphia as much as any player. He is showing you that you can be a great player, HOF'er, and still be a class act and the fans will love you better than anyone. Congratulation Bobby Jones.

When I got the opportunity to watch Sixers basketball living in Los Angeles in the early '80s, I got to see Julius Erving do all the things I saw him do when I was living in New York in the mid-'70s and he was a New Jersey Net. Watching the Doctor exposed me to Bobby Jones, who showed me more about defense than any player I'd ever seen or will see. He was long, lean, and would literally appear out of nowhere with a contest or a block. Even more so, watching him guard the player with the ball was a clinic on how to deny passing lanes and limit movement. I embraced the Sixers because of Dr. J. I respected the Sixers because of Bobby Jones. Even today, the Sixers have a very special place in my heart. Well-deserved honor, Mr. Jones, and thank you...

Bobby Jones was a great defender and finisher on the fast break. He was tremendous with shooting the ball with either hand.He was a good shot blocker too.A complete player with all around game!

A diehard Laker fan during those great years. Living in Philly was tough on a Laker fan at times. Always had respect and admiration for Erving and Bobby Jones. The way they worked together and carried themselves. They are men.

I loved that '83 Sixers team. Anytime things got stale or they needed a boost, Bobby Jones would deliver. Whether it was a steal, an assist, a blocked shot or a fast break dunk he always came through. He played on championship teams for the Denver Nuggets in the ABA and came to the Sixers in the merger along with Dr. J. I know it's already been said many times in the comments but it took way too long for the HOF to recognize his career. I thought for sometime it might not happen.
