LOL they really tried to make it look like Game 7 was badly reffed in favor of the Habs, absolute joke of a network
The montage was good but that’s sequence pissed me off
loooooooool leafs network strikes again
that was disgusting to watch. That's one bad call. On the other hand, we had to deal with Game 2 where we were on a PK for an entire period and icing calls stinged us the entire series. Horrible icings where the refs blow it down when the puck doesnt even cross the goal line
Truly ridiculous. As if Toronto didn't get a number of non-calls in their favour that led directly to goals throughout the series.
Refs were bad the entire series for both team
I must say, it was really nice to wipe that smile off of Matthews’ face
Really nice
you wish you had a matthews lmao
@@seeingdoublethepodcast7 Why would we want someone that is useless in the playoffs?
It was so nice to see the Nation of Quebec not win the cup.
@@tubedude4859 Try getting out of the first round
Thank you Montreal.

Don't understand how this comment doesn't have more likes...
Everything was align for the Habs. We were behind 3-1 and we won 3-1 on may 31 with the best goalie in the league #31
Next year it’s gonna be 24.
25 in 2025
Fans from all around the league: How biased looking do you want this video to be?
Sportsnet: Yes
love how they dont show Marner's delay of game.... play of the series! 10 million a season for that?
cuz its leafsnet
This video reeks of Leafsnet bias and bitterness
ikr
100%
Really though they showed in game 7 when Eric Staal pulled Sandin down no penalty then Engvall pulled down Caufield penalty which I got to say was a bad call but they didn’t show all the miss calls the habs had🙄
@@jackb7632 Sportsnet is bias
U want montreal bias watch in French
Funny how the music is so hype when Toronto does well and is like doom and gloom for the Habs... should be neutral, Habs deserved this!
Sports Net is so damn biased it's ridiculous
The friendly hug during the aftergame handshakes. Matthews: "you are best goalie Carey". Carey: "I know and you guys really suck".
Jokesaside I doubt Carey would have it in him to say that
@@Redditaurus Why wouldn't he?
@@matthewbryson2349 well for one, he seems too modest to openly roast someone. for another, look at 2017, radulov kept complaining that they (habs) consistently choked shutouts for price late in games, and he just said to let it fly. everytime.
i am not one to get r/woooosh'd, so ill just say he doesnt appear to have that type of character.
@@Redditaurus I know Price is a gentleman. My comment was meant as a joke.
@@matthewbryson2349 Price is a gentleman, you're not. Don't ever speak on his behalf you clown.
Honestly highlighting a random holding missed call in this recap is ludicrous. Numerous times Toronto got away with non-calls that led directly to goals throughout the series, yet of course Toronto media highlights one non-call as a major "point" in the series. Ridiculous.
They need excuses for their failures
Yeah that was some pathetic bias. Also, making a big point of Bergevin's failed goal challenge but not even showing Keefe's in game 6 which was just as bad
@@MaudeScho Yeah lmao
Toronto's way...
Make your own video and stop whining lol
When the Leafs lost to a Zamboni driver ... I knew they would lose game 7.
👍
tough prediction when the leafs love golf season lol
The turning point of the series is Alex Galchenyuk turnover on Suzuki's overtime goal.
If you talk about a moment, you nailed it. But if you search for a cause for the defeat, it's more on the side of the incapacity of Mathews and Marner to produce and to get rid of the coverage by Danault's line. And of course the goaltending.
Sleeper agent Chucky activated at just the right time
@@joshuahunt8911 LOL
22 million not scoring was the turning point
@@joshuahunt8911 i KNEW he was secretly playing for the Habs out there! I mean those golden passes he gave us!
I got laughed at when I said the Leafs were garbage before this series began. Funny how things work out.
They were right to laugh at you. They are far from garbage objectively. They have more talent, but the team that wanted it more won.
@@PhilGerb93 Nope Leafs are garbage. They're just a good regular season team and nothing else 😭😂
@@PhilGerb93 And why did they lose? Because they're garbage...
@@PhilGerb93 blowing a 3 to 1 lead is considered garbage my friend
@@nc8507 Not even sure why I try to stay objective around fanboys. Don't get me wrong, I'm a Habs fan.
My favorite part was marner's goal😶
Me too! the celebration said it all
Danault's line did a perfect job neutralizing M & M.
the leafs and the homers at SN forget about the rest of the bad/non calls happening the rest of the series in favor of TO? lol
Thanks to put a little of french commentary in there ! Really a great touch ! :)
"The Leafs in 4." Craig Button Hockey "Expert."
haha, maybe not that expert I guess
Dubas can join him on the “panel”.
Everyone wrote the habs off. I think it was Eric Engals that's said in 7
The statistics were definitely in the leafs favour, but the hard work and heart of the Habs can't be measured... GO HABS GO!
@@alexcleroux3054 And Engal’s is from Montreal.
Hard to watch as a Leafs fan. Never thought I'd say this but Nylander looked like the hardest working Leaf in the series with maybe Campbell. Tough look
I never thought Nylander would be the hardest working player either out there.
As a habs fan, i feel truly awful for Campbell. The guy's a saint.
Yup, those 2 actually did a lot in the series. Everyone else was mediocre.
Spezza too
I'm a Montreal fan but really feel for Campbell. The guy stood on his head all series.
A instant classic for the Habs... just the same old same for the leafs.
"We see them... like a bunch of fat turtles on their backs flailing in the hot sun, realizing their time is over."
3 years later and I keep coming back to this, partially out of nostalgia, but mostly because it's one of the most hilariously edited videos I've ever seen.
As a Habs fan, this was as good as it gets. As a bonus we made it to the finals.
And got absolutely destroyed by Tampa
@@kylepelley5776 we did destroy 3 powerhouse teams though, the last dynasty team took us out, with 20 million over the cap. Try harder, that was weak.
This Leafs team has no heart and soul, plain and simple. I have never seen a team with this much talent just lay down and die every single year in the playoffs when they are in a must win situation. I really think the stars on this team expected to win. They have no grit just arrogance.
They were selling you a lifestyle brand. All the talk from "authoritative sources" and all they were doing was selling a lie. Cheer with your wallet, it's the only thing these organizations understand.
As a Dallas Stars fan, could I have a word with you in private? lol
Seriously though, I feel your pain.
coming back and watching this does indeed put a smile on my face
Same
Thank you Leafs for being cocky when you were winning. You helped make this happen.
Best Leafsnet video made so far on this youtube channel
Oh man. This never gets old. GO HABS GO
Corey Perry's Knee had more of an outcome in this series than all of mitch marner
It took out Tavares in game 1 and got the gwg in game 7 lol
"As players you just want to know what the standard is" So what about all the non calls and bad calls in Toronto's favour
I feel bad for Campbell. He was so good. So good.
the first goal of game 7 was grabage dude, 5hole not even on the ice 😅 but before game 7 he was good
@@scooterelway9191 if u have 0 goals by the time theres 10mins left twice in a row game6&7 i dont think u can blame ur goalie, ur asking him for a shutout just to get to OT 😂

Finally the Leaf fans can go back to shutting up.
They won't. They think next year is the year.😂.
I'd have closed my channel long ago. You guys have lost all credibility with the predictions of this series by ALL your super unbiased analysts. I repeat ALL.
Lmao
Minus Bieksa. He was the only one to say that Montreal is a playoff team and Toronto is a regular season team
It's not bias? They were legitimately favored to win. Everyone knew that it would still be a close series, even more so with the freak Tavares injury, despite the Habs being the underdog.
@@OutLivex I don’t so, there was clearly that media arrogance and bias anointing the Leafs the team to make it out of the North. People were saying Habs would get swept whereas no one would’ve ever been so disrespectful to say the opposite. Too much unwarranted arrogance from leafs media and supporters
@@barstar888 There's a reason why the Habs winning the series is called an upset. This happens every year, look at how many President Trophy winning teams exit the first round in the playoffs. Or how many Cup Champions lose in the first round the following year.
Before the series, I said Habs in 7 , good job boys 🔵⚪🔴
The Maple Laffs. Rebuilding since 1967. Another one bites the dust.
I remember after game 4 thinking the Leafs would win in 6 then. Then they lost and I told myself they would win the next game, then they lost again and said to myself they'll win and then they choked the series
.... and so is the life of a Toronto Maple Leafs fan.
when they lost the 5th game it was over
Which playoff year are you talking about?
@@gregoryk2365 All of them!
Im surprised you remember that after being so drunk on your tears😂
This video never gets old.
Honestly I'd have more sympathy for Toronto if sportsnet and tsn didnt shove "how good they are " down our throats throughout the entire season on content for teams other than Toronto
This first round was one hell of a rollercoaster for both sides. Ghg baby!
this series was just unbelievable
This is my new favorite comedy show
As a habs fan the pro leaf bias in this video makes the win that much juicier
Amen
Best playoff series I have ever watched
Habs win in 7 but Sportsnet skips a third of their goals in the recap. There are more shots of Auston looking sad than Habs goals. Nice coverage lads
Now they're probably gonna cover Leafs golfing highlights instead of Stanley Cup Finals
@@SamGautreau7 lmao you'll be joining us, you have no chance against winnipeg, cant take out their captain too or it would look suspicous.

This gave me chills!!
This is awesome
need to see this series again js
Every so often I’ll watch this video it’s just so amazing. The bias of sportsnet is so cringe though.
What a series
What’s the matter Matthew’s... not smiling so much now...!
He never does smile anyway.
What do you need to stop a self-appointed contender? medicore defense and good goaltending.
The numbers are staggering. The Maple Leafs haven't won a playoff series since 2004. They have eight straight losses in series-clinching games. And they've lost a winner-take-all game in four straight postseasons: three Game 7s
Speechless
Even in a recap of a series the leafs lose they're still heavily slanted for the leafs
Hey sportsnet there's more than one team in this country
Great video
*Carey price makes a game saving stop*
Also Carey Price in a monotone voice: Woaahhhhh
I guess "win it for J.T." expired after game 2.
In a crooked little town, they were lost and never found
Fallen leaves, fallen leaves, fallen leaves... on the ground
LMAO
It was an average Mtl team w big heart massive underdogs. Everyone said leafs in 4 or 5 pre series.
cole caufield reminds me very much of a young thomas plekanec
Interesting that you mention that... Plekanec wore number 14 on his jersey, which is the number Suzuki wears now. Suzuki and Caufield are definitely on their way to becoming a very dangerous dynamic duo.
As a leaf fan I have ptsd from this series
Dayum the leafs curse still lives on after tavares got injured that's when u knew the leafs curse was still intact.
I like how they don’t show Perry’s goal in game 6 despite it being arguably the most important of the series or Taffoli’s empty netter that sealed game 7 and Marner’s over the glass penalty but they made sure to show every leafs goal plus the missed call on Armia (which they spent a long time on.)
Sportsnet at it again.
Please keep doing playoff series recap like that, I really enjoyed it. Aside from the biased narrative lol
Take in the facts that Mathews has 35 scoring chances in this series from the slot or around the net and he’s only scored once, that just shows how great price is
Price is definitely the biggest factor here, but Danault's line completely shut down Marner and Matthews as well.
That was a nice Auston Matthews goal.
Three cheers for Canada’s team
🥴
the 3 games the leafs won looked amazing. the next 3 looked like a completely different team, no fire in their eyes no hitting no scrums no scoring no powerplay
Just watched the Leafs lose to Tampa in 2022 and had to comeback... The greatest chocking franchise in the history of sports. Feels good when the Leafs loose. The whole country fells better.
Habs have won 3-1 in their last 2 game 7s 👀
Didn’t they beat Boston 4-1 in game 7?
@@politicalbandwagon4989 no it was 3-1
Хороший характер. Спасибо, Канада. Верность и честь!
Jack Campbell took responsibility for the Laffs loss but any fan knows who exactly lost this series. The $11mil no-shows
Jack is too nice to call them out.
Him, Nylander, Spezza, and Brodie actually tried. Marner and Matthews messed up. Even 3 weeks later, I feel bad for Campbell.
@@Moda-pf8wt maybe Marner and Matthews lose on purpose. Excited to play golf.
never thought i'd see a network complaining about the refs
The refs here clearly favored Toronto, so I don't know what they are on about. They learned what bad officiating was when they watched the MTL vs Vegas series.
What about the best play of the series, Marner's puck over the glass penalty?
You guys showed the scores of the games before the highlights of that game? Who’s the genius that came up with that idea? I didn’t remember the outcomes of each game, sucked the suspense of all the highlights out
LOL..."Instant Classic"?? Oh Sportsnet, don't ever change! :D
It's a classic for everyone who doesn't like the Leafs - so most of Canada.
yeah the only classic games in this series were the ones where toronto lost
Never underestimate the canadians ♥️♥️♥️
So what happened, did they stop , playin for John ?
Sign of return to normalcy: The Leafs choking in the spring.
Yes it's disappointing but the Leafs almost to a man showed class in defeat. Namely Austin Matthews who showed huge respect to those whose job it was to stick to him like glue. So in return Austin I show you a ton of respect from here forward. You will hoist the Stanley Cup one day my friend, sooner than later. Kudos
The price was right last night eh
Some said Leafs in 4, oh boi thats a turnaround
5:21 crazy to think that if matthews raised that puck, the series would be all over
That goal between the legs in game 7. My grandmother could have saved that.😂.
I sure hope the Sportsnet analysts are familiar with other teams to cover other than the leafs. #53years
Just realized. Last time the Laffs won a round was in 2004? That means, next year, if they choke again, they will start drafting kids who were not born the last time they could put 4 wins in a series.
Carey Price: Calm, Cool, COLLECTED 🔥
Carey Price is the greatest keeper ever
So much leafs bias, still defending them until the last minute of game 7
Was planning on watching mont play but not after reading the comments
But, but, but but...I was told it going to be the Leafs and the Oilers...funny thing...
@ "Toronto War Room", you stopped telling Habs fans to take their pills and they came back. We needed your enthusiasm 🖕🏽
The leafs media be like that zamboni driver was not just a driver,he actually played hockey when he was 5 lmao and that would be the highlight point of the game😅
You know all the talk with McDavid wanting out of Edmonton but how much longer before it's talks that mathews wants out ?
Leafsnet really trying to make it look like it was on the refs L
What a comeback. Toronto can't win a round lol
I was expecting a biased montage but you guys have outdone yourselves haha. Is there any reason why you try to appear as the sport broadcaster of all canadian teams still? Just assume what you are.
I remember all those Leaf's fans comment after game 5 . I was thinking in my head '' they learned nothing after all those years of failure.''
