You win some, you lose some. It is worth noting that most of this is being ridden for the first time by James. Legendary, on the fly navigation if I do say so myself. Desert season is officially here so no better way to kick things off than with some of my favorite riding in the state of Colorado at the Lunch Loops. I am more of a snack guy myself, but if I am going to have lunch, no better person to enjoy that with than James Weingarten. Pete the dog did a wonderful job piloting the drone again this week for your viewing pleasure. He is perfecting his craft, episode by episode. This is Eagle's Wing, Pucker Up and Moto, my favorite top to bottom linkup to really smash your mountain bike into the ground. - Sport
4:55 I always assumed that James could bail well but that is next level.
He was intending to jump all of that chunk but thought better of that call at the last second. Legend!

I have to say I really like the drone footage over the pov. The pov just has too much of the GoPro effect where the drone really shows the trail. Great video as always
It's the combination of the two that puts Nate's videos over the top, imo.
You are at the top in filming and editing on this particular ride . Incredible flashing between the follow along drone and your camera on the bike and the clarity is about the same . Close to natgeo level

@@natehills9388 I had a similar recovery (not as epic) but when I landed, my brake lever went in my shoe. I had to have my friends use the jaws of life to extract me. LOL

Awesome stuff as usual! Can you please do an advanced how to huck tutorial? Sometimes for me its not obvious how to huck something. Do i land nose first? How nose first can you go without eating it?
I would say that is usually best to land rear wheel or even whenever possible. Nose first gets sketchy. The slower you go, the more you need to pull back.
I was there yesterday climbing eagle and coming down holy cross thinking it would be cool to watch some follow cam with you two here.
I think this was last Friday cause I'm almost positive I saw James in the parking lot as I was pulling in!
We were around last weekend. So much fun!

The drone has done well, only hitting one tree and crashing. Not bad for the amount of flight time it sees. James always runs flats.
@@natehills9388 that is pretty good! I was wondering if James was superhuman and was able to unclip and jump over the bars! He is still super, don’t get me wrong.

Nate, I'm curious if you run flats or clipless and if/when you run each? I've never tried flats, growing up it was all clipless all the time.
I run clips most of the time. James runs flats. It is just personal preference at the end of the day. Do what makes you happy.
