Sometimes a brother needs more than one portion of lunch to fill the tummy. Last week's episode left James Weingarten craving more jank and snacks. In this episode we ride Free Lunch, Pucker Up, Raven Ridge, and Curts Lane. Some of the finest jank that the Lunch Loop trails have to offer. Pete does another wonderful job this week of operating the Drone. His skill is really improving. But seriously, the Skydio 2 has been crushing. It is worth noting that most of this is being ridden blind again by James. Wish him luck. I yell random directions to keep him on line. What could go wrong?
I know it's extra work for you, but the blending of follow-cam and follow-follow-cam drone footage is fantastic. You both make Free Lunch look like a cakewalk instead.
The drone definitely adds something unique. Worth the extra work for sure.
Been over a decade since I have been on the lunch loops. I will be getting back to them soon. Thank the lord for eBikes.

When are the "Jank Life" T-shirts coming out??? ;-) OK...so James' hop over the rock at the 4:09 mark...silly. If he mistimes that even slightly...ride over. Until I see the drone shots, I forget that you're out there with what amounts to a bike packing pack on your back, and that has GOT TO SUCK on those drops to flat! Holy Spinal Compression! Adding the drone...was an EPIC idea that you're perfected, and it makes the desert riding twice as entertaining. Those trails...look amazingly fun. "Pucker Up" and "Curt's Lane," look to be on par with anything at Moab, but a little different style. GREAT VIDEO as always man...KEEP 'EM COMING!!!
I should make some shirts...haha. I need to wear to the pack if I am using the drone on longer rides. It lives in there when it is not in the sky. Any pack is less than ideal for hucking, but this is the price I pay for foot of the boys.

I love your videos man! Follow Cam Friday is one of the best MTB series on YT IMO. That being said I would be interested in your opinion on utilizing the Skydio for your channel. It adds a lot to your production but is it a PITA to lug around while you’re out on trails?
Thank you for watching friend. While it does add a bunch of time to my workflow, I see the value in the Skydio from a production value standpoint. No question. The unit fits in my pack perfectly, so it is super easy to cary actually. There is a bit of added weight from the batteries, but I can certainly live with that.

I worry about the potential of crashing while packing it but I’m assuming you can mitigate that risk with a hard case. Thanks for the info and for being rad enough to respond even. @@yomp_mtb Yup, the unit comes with a hard case that fits into my pack. If I crash hard enough to break my drone through the case, I will have bigger issues to worry about, lol.

Killer video and top shelf riding skills. Curious how you manage the drone remote control while riding to keep it from going rogue. I assume it's in "follow me mode" stashed in the backpack but how do you keep the remote sticks from getting moved around and it taking off?
The drone is following a beacon in my pocket. The remote is not used in this application.
