I know this show is all rule of cool and parody, but gaaah historian in me is cringing. Plus there's the fact children's programming that is being parodied didn't pop up until the mid-to-late 50's. In fact, it really came into play in the 60's that we see the exact brand That Frog Kurtis is based on. Maybe in this universe, Black Dynamite's conception pushed the technology further?
It's sad there will never be shows like Black Dynamite or The Boondocks again. No one would dare make them today for fear of offending someone. These series truly were hilarious no holds barred satire of pop culture, society, and politics. 🤣 Those of us in our late twenties to thirties are lucky we grew up when we did.
