My first cruise was in the conquest a few months ago. Radiance will be my second cruise. Looks much nicer and bigger than the conquest. Can’t wait to sail for my 41st Birthday

Very helpful, I grew up in Long Beach and was on the original SS Catalina ship, but that was just transportation, went to Avalon many times for H.S. basketball games, a honeymoon, and scuba diving. Have always wanted to be on a REAL cruise so my sail date is Aug 21, 2023 with my girlfriend, $411 includes tip and taxes. I did not purchase through Carnival directly. We live in Mexico never been to Ensanada, so we will drive to LB. This was a nice helpful video, thank you!!!

Was the serenity bar only open specific times/days during your sailing? I know on the sister ship Sunrise we didn't even know they had a bar back there because they weren't serving at any time. I liked the Serenity bar menu I found this go round so hopefully it will be in use

To be on the safe side, I suggest taking Dramamine starting when you get on the ship. There is a 24hr formula which I recommend, that way you only have to worry about taking it once a day🙂. After my first couple of cruises where I got seasick, I do this every time and have not had an issue since. Be sure not to wait till you’re already feeling seasick…by then it’s too late! Take it from the beginning till the end, and you will not have an issue. Have a great cruise! I’m going on this cruise in September also, and on the Panorama (my favorite) also in September!

I didn’t buy the wifi on this ship, so I am not sure about it.
Don't book a trip to La Bufadora , it must be high tide or there is no splash.
you mentioned the ship being rough once, and also that is was moving up and down quite a bit.. how bad was it? Is this a smaller ship that motion sick people should avoid?
It got pretty bad with inclement weather, but the amount of roughness will vary greatly from sailing to sailing.
Do the rooms provide an iron for clothes/ blow dryer?
Yes blow dryer. No iron

The comedy shows will be listed with a title and age appropriate rating so guests wouldn’t watch the same show twice, but most don’t repeat.

How much are beers either draft or can? I see mixed drinks are 10 to 12 from the video

The comedy shows can’t be reserved and are first come first served. Not 100% sure on Night Owls, but I think it is a late night upcharge kids club of sorts.

I have never tried to pay in cash for a cruise, so I’m not sure on that one.
Your cruise card, you can add money to it, or pay it by the end of the cruise.
I know alcohol isn’t included in total price of cruise, what is the average price of beverages?
Beer is probably $7-8. Cocktails are around $12

Yes you can
So you said only the pizza is free because they said food was included what all does that include and we’re going on the old school concert cruise will we have issues getting in the concert
The pizza is the only free food available after 11 PM, almost of the food on the ship is included with the cost of the cruise. I unfortunately don’t know anything about that specific old school concert cruise
Can the state room enough for 4 persons, 2 adult and 2 kids?
Yes you can put 4 people in one cabin
Did they have free room service? Because u mentioned there's only pizza late at night
I believe the only free room service is the continental breakfast in the morning, all other room service has a fee.

I think that would vary from cruise to cruise

Most food is included. Food that isn’t included: Cucina Del Capitano for dinner, Steakhouse, Chefs Table, Seafood Shack, Sushi.
Drink package is around $60 per day and includes 15 alcoholic beverages per day.
You can buy cigarettes by the pack at the casino bar

I sailed in the off-season, so it was a good deal.
I got a big chicken up the street 😂 so hopefully that isn't one of the highlights
...were those people just letting their children play casino games because the money grabber looked like a UFO catcher... And the casino staff were allowing that? Sheesh let's get some Fortnite slot machines in for the kiddos while we're at it.
Not sure on that one. I was surprised the cash crane and similar machines were active while the ship was in port

Not anymore. I would look at carnivals website for your specific sailing, but almost all don’t require covid testing.

Went in the offseason and looked at the prices on all the sailings
Also, with Carnival they sell porthole windows and some cabins with obstructed views as "interior."
I keep hearing the Food is the worst. Also, sometime wasted $200 million redesigning the ship. It looks awful. They should have stuck with the dark greens, burgundy and cream color scheme s. The $200 million should have went towards food quality and expansion of the buffet.
