Then bankruptcy trustees sued Jr and Sr for alleged improper business transfers that gutted OC Iron Works before it also went belly-up. Jr also sued Sr at one point over Sr. allegedly trying to muscle Jr. out of his 20% stake in the original OCC. I also liked Martin bros builds. And just Joe himself as a cool mellow person. He also had some really cool ideas and is a great fabricator as well.
      To be fair to OCC I did like some of Paul Jr’s ideas and his overall personality is cool and friendly but couldn’t stand Paul Senior one bit ! Those were supposed to be six figure bikes back when the show aired, but I’ve heard of at least one being sold for $14,000. Reality TV didn’t do the motorcycling world any favors by creating the trend towards these big, long, poor handling, and poorly manufactured bikes.

    • @brandonfrancey5592
      @brandonfrancey5592 Před měsícem +2

      The 6 figures was an advertising cost. They may have spent 100k on a bike, but most of that was to be featured on an episode. Having the main characters on a super popular show mention your company name in connection to a bike continuously over the course of an hour? 100k is cheap. An ad spot for 30 seconds during an episode of OCC probably cost more.

    They had their speciality bikes and their fleet bikes. Over priced and low quality. This was the mainstream back in the late 1990’s and 2000’s. People literally dropped $20-$30k on bike projects. 10 years later they weren’t that good or they never finished and hoping to re-cover some of that money. By the 2010’s the large tire era was gone.
    It was a very popular thing and that is what OCC delivered.
