  • Come join Diana and I for a quick visit to Cumberland, Maryland. During our road trip to Davis, West Virginia we came across the historic town of Cumberland. This architectural wonder is situated in Allegany County, Western Maryland. Close to the Rocky Gap Casino Resort, Rocky Gap State Park, and West Virginia border this town is worth a visit. Historic Travels are always fun while on a road trip.
Come join a leisurely stroll through the colorful streets of Cumberland. There is ton to do in the mountains of Maryland & a quick pit stop in Cumberland is highly recommend. Don't forget your camera! #CumberlandMaryland #MarylandMountains #Cumberland #AlleganyCounty #RockyGapCasinoResort #WesternMaryland

I visited from Calvert County MD and loved Cumberland and Frostburg, the people out there are very friendly. I spoke to tons of random people. Downtown was so nice just sad most shops are closed.

I wish Josh Kelty was an advocate against domestic violence rather than an advocate of domestic violence. I wish he would do his job rather than abuse his position to get men off!

Wow it has changed , I lived in Coney and Barton in the early seventies, married Debra Kimble ,we had a Daughter Rebecca Taylor ,she went to Valley high school and we divorced 18 months later, she was running around while I was home with my daughter and I caught her,They had to pull my Becky from me as she was screaming and that’s the last time we were with each other.Tried to come back to see her ,but was met with shotguns and threats, they took a lifetime of my daughter from me,she is 52 lives in the meadow in Barton , think.if you know her show her this ,thanks folks, she has my blood which turns out to be very special, I wonder if she has my abilities. I was the dude from eastern shore with the Yellow 57 Chevy, worked at Powells Arco.Scored 62 points in a Rec. ball game at valley high 1970 to 72.

This was in the middle of the day...I think it had to do with COVID and the fact it was a Friday at around 1/2pm

Your H town is probably Hancock, MD. Worth a look see, and is about halfway between Cumberland and Hagerstown. Hancock can be accessed via 68 from Cumberland, as well as old Rt 40. This is also where Rt 68 merges with Rt 70, which comes down from PA, and they both continue East bound. You did miss so much on your short visit of Cumberland. To walk the downtown mall, and calling it a stop of Cumberland, is like wearing blinders. You miss much. But nice video anyway, and thanks for that. I think to say that Cumberland has a heroine epidemic is an overstatement. Users? Yes, but no more than any other little town of it's size, and far less than many others, per capita. Pre covid Cumberland pleases with live music on Fridays after 5. Farmer's markets on the weekends, and many historical landmarks, such as the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, which I recommend doing a Wiki search. We are slowly returning to pre covid times. Cumberland residents are among some of the friendliest people I know. And it will always be home to me.

@@billskelley6895 Bill I would love to spend more time in Cumberland. I agree, the visit was way too short. I was traveling to WV and stumbled across it. Funny because I've always hears about Cumberland, MD but didn't know much about it...so to see it had a fairly robust history, it took me by surprise. I would love to stop by some of the other locations you've mentioned. I agree that I could do more of an in-depth video of Cumberland. I will certainly take a look at the video, and educate myself for my return sometime in the near future

I delivery between Baltimore and Cumberland for lyft getting correctional officers to work.and to give you an update they have meth now and bath salts is back. Its kinda of sad because the landscape is beautiful but it really needs revamping and more Infastructure in place. Cumberland so far away from anything it needs gentrification and urbanization.
