Because the games take forever and are usually decided in the first 20 minutes. After that it's just another 20+ minutes of slowly winning or losing

@@juliet4093 Maybe not in pro leagues, but having played in FAF a bit myself I was filled with an overwhelming sense of "fuck the noobs". It's very elitist, not just in the fact that you have to have hundreds of hours of experience just to effectively use nonconventional tactics to take back a losing game, but in the FAF players' attitudes as well.

I watched your interview and decided to leave several words of thanks as you're apparently a glutton for compliments.
I have been watching your casts for four years now. Every cast is a moment to relax, start off the weekend, while having a drink and a snack. The way you present your casts simply has such a unique character where you can pick out the signature comments as a long time watcher. It's always interesting to watch and see the battlefield unfold in front of you. The cast also have a therapeutic element to them as your voice is very serene and tranquilizing to me, especially after a long week. I often fall asleep at the end of your casts, so it's not uncommon for me to be watching the end of the cast twice. Anyway, thank you for putting in the time and effort to bring these casts to us even though you feel that other people in the community do the brunt of the work for you. Thank you for all the casts, Gyle!
Hey, Gyle! Been watching for a few years now and I have to thank you for getting me into this game. I just bought it last weekend and I can't wait to play more come next weekend. Your awesome casts introduced me to the game and kept me watching despite not knowing the ins and outs of the game. I've been an RTS fan for a long time and I finally got a PC this year so I could play.

As someone that is in the process of saving up for a gaming pc and doing through research into the several mechanics of the game, I have to say this is the first time I have seen fire beetles used in a game casted by you Gyle :) I didn't even know they existed before I looked in the faf unit database not too long ago lol.

Mass under 30 does not show without a mod. There are mods with drag boxes that show all total mass within selection box as well.

Always THE main thing that frustrates me most about playing FA, is simply peoples suicidal tendencies with their coms. I just don't understand it. Yes it's a powerful weapon that can't be neglected, but so many people just flush their brains down the toilet and wilfully throw their life away. It's always good when you can win an early advantage with some well done ACU aggerssion, but that forward ACU just becomes ever more a liability by the second once the game is past T2.
@@UnknownSquid Picoo told this guy to go back. He ignored and it and when Picco said "NOW" - he just went the other way, towards the enemy. To me it seems like he wanted to prove that he can do it or it was just "fuck off" thingy.

@@atnfn I've suffered team mates like that so often in past games. I practically start loading engineers into transports ready to go recycle their base in anticipation of suicidal rambos. They're always running around right in front with no scouting either. Too often it's my own air scout assigned to watch their ass, and my own mobile AA tailing ready a short distance behind them. Many players would walk into a lions den stark naked if not for their team trying to keep them alive, and it boggles my mind to see the same mistake repeated game after game.
I saw the notification for this before I went to bed at 6am and forgot to watch when I woke up lol. Lets GO

I suggest you go for a nice zoomed-in screenshot of an intense battle from the replay. A lot of your video thumbnails involve sceneries of dirt and grass which neither reflects the intensity of the game nor the excellence of your casts.
Personally, I watch every single one of your videos, and don't even notice the thumbnail, so clickbait thumbnails wouldn't affect me. I'm sure a lot of other subs feel the same. I say, if it gets you more views, go for it! it's just gaming the system, not making worse content.

How the bottom team lost from 17:00 minute onwards is beyond me. Two kills that were not too costly, a godly cost-efficient arty drop. Probably just trash play aside from those 3 moves. It took about 5 minutes before Sladow rebuild the mexes right next to him after red died and he barely ever build any eco, so he probably has himself to blame or his clanmates for giving him the fewest mexes.

Been binge watching this... And is it me or people realy suck at knowing when they over extended with ACU?
So when i alt click it sends any engis to pick up the mass but my commander wont do anything? is the mass reclaim button different for commanders or do you have to micro it?
Since your ACU is kind of a combat unit, its attackmove it like the ones of tanks. They just go through everything and stop to kill stuff on the way. If you want to reclaim if your ACU automatically (Usually you always want to fight or reclaim manual with your ACU though), you have to set up a patrol with it to work

It often depends. You can either spend your res. on spam or on eco, if you go eco, you need to def and use the eco in the late game in form of an experimental. If you use it your spam (Or snipes), you need to push if your enemy is ecoing. If you can't push, your units are useless and your oponnent has more mass incoming than you -> You already know you are dead bc your eco just sucks. For example take mine and Picco's, I spammed nothas and my last chance was the chicken, he just ecod -> I was dead even though I survived quite long
Why does it continue for 15 minutes after the end?

Team 2 dropped the ball hard doing nothing after they gained the early 2 man lead. Just sat around and let Picco fill the gaps at eco like mad. Team 2 blames Red but red's 1 mistake was he forgot to keep moving and the bricks caught him

Does nobody play UEF anymore? Are they shite now I havent played in many years
Fergus Macrae UEF is a very solid faction, tanky and excellent for late game but due to this being a small map, cybran was a better choice. Cybrans are fast and deadly and their strongest units can be reached quicker than UEF’s. But if the UEF reach late game and you’ve turtles up ur defenses, the opponent has a really tuff time getting rid of u as UEF excell at prolonged, stand off fight with arty and shields

Hi all. I am a long time supcom player that wants to get into the FAF community. I am having difficulties with the registration process. I don't receive the activation email for the FAF client despite trying two different email addresses for registration. I have tried the advice stipulated on the forums so I'm not sure what the issue is. I also cannot ask tech support about this on the FAF forums as each email address I use to register is rejected on the grounds of spam. I can't see how email addresses from three different providers would be rejected on this basis. As a last ditch effort I am asking here for advice. Hoping you can help - it would be much appreciated.

He had T2 air (+ Corsairs) and T3 land. We could have sniped adragel's oponnent but he was the bigger threat at that point.
@@sladow5975 Oh yeah it's the play I would make too. I'm just starting to wonder if letting the lower rated player live works out better in the long run instead of giving a higher rated player 2 sometimes 3 times the eco.

@@Snakester789 You are right with your thought, that's why Picco got such a strong eco. The thing is that you have to push - But Maptoc had to defend Picco as well since he already had 2 bases. If you can pressure, it's alright to shoot a gap into the enemy's front, but if you can't, then don't. But that's only when the player is not a threat. Don't underestimate players. Even though for example a 1k player isn't a threat for 1.5k+, they know the game and they know how to use gaps. Let them do their stuff without looking and you will die

You'll get your ass kicked just because that's how this game has always been to people who are out of practice, but the fundamentals haven't change a lot. A couple of games should get you fairly up to speed. Definitely check out faforever though, the Steam version is stagnant and mostly dead except for a few people who refuse FAF for whatever reason.

Team 2 shit the bed quickly
sladow suicided more then red did red had a fully equiped com and just stayed too long because he thought he was safe enough sladow had no reason to be there

Sladow is the worst 1900 rated player I have ever seen. He had literally the worst eco of all the 4 players on their team, was slow to reclaim and retake Eveyoun's base and just gifted an Ythota to the other team, for no gain whatsoever. And then he blames Eveyoun for being out of position, but afterwards his own commander is out of position too. Are you really gonna blame your team? Picoo carried his, you should've done that same. 50 something eco for most of the game, and it didn't improve until after he got Eveyouns base.
I respond the same thing like I did a few days ago - He deleted his comment after that.
Gyle missed a notha air fight and a snipe at 26:55, look at the minimap. For the snipe we had to spend 22k mass, I don't know how many nothas I used for the air fight above the head of red's ACU so the gunships don't kill him, but nothas are not cheap. Interesting that there is a reason why we had no eco, right?
As every high ranked player, I know when I have a chance to still win a game and when it is over. After red died, we all knew it's over (We were in Discord) so we didn't do much. We just cheesed around a bit more and ofc a chicken can't stand an army of t3 units. I could have ecod instead of building nothas or the chicken, my mexes would have been t3 then. But since Picco already had 2 - later 3 - bases, I knew I had no chance ecoing against him. (Example for the cheesestuff is the drop) Btw, my ACU died bc I didn't see the monkey. It has stealth and we didn't had an omni.
I don't say I'm playing extremly good, I know I sucked that game. But there are reasons why and if you think you can beat me, feel free to fight me or have a look at the other games I play. For example the one I uploaded (With a shit sound quality though) or nearly every other game. I know I'm not boosted and can face most of the 2k players and so I don't see a reason why I should drop. I honestly don't even give a fuck about other opinions like yours bc I assume you are way below 1500 like the others shittalking about high rated players without going through the games by themselves and looking for the reasons.

Thanks for the long write-up, kind of makes it seem like you do care about other opinions but that's besides the point. I really don't mean to say you are boosted, I should have said 'the worst game I have ever seen a 1900 rated player play', instead of 'the worst 1900 rated player I have ever seen.' It just always kind of rubs me the wrong way when players blame their lower rated teammates and have a defeatist attitude after a setback, instead of guiding others and rising to the occasion. But as always, it's easy to criticize other people when you're not the one doing it yourself, and personally I would have done way worse.

And yeah, I usually don't expect much from lower m8s, but there are some things I expect from their rank like not going that far away without flak or another shield rdy to protect their ACU. I honestly was kinda annoyed at that moment bc he nearly had a fatboy and a good eco as well. He had the chance for a save win but kinda threw it away + I had to waste my nothas for killing the gunships.
I have no problem with critizicm if they actually tell me what I have to do different the next time, but I hate getting blamed for playing badly without thinking about it or - like this case - checking the reasons why I had nothing

gyle puts the replay id in the description so just watch it yourself and sync his voice to the replay no delay on video so isnt hard
@@GyleCast I like the interesting camera angles but sometimes you do it when it detracts from the action (like in this game when we're watching the chicken and seeing if it's going to get a vet and win or if it's going to lose)
