This match really got the feel of how brutal the infinite war of the lore is on stablished fronts. Nukes everywhere, debris clogging the oceans, entire islands seared clear of any sign of life.

You can just see how happy Achieved is when the Phantoms begin shooting at each other.
It's an endurance game, a game of chicken. It's only unwinnable if you die before they make a mistake.
That might just be one of the most fun games you've ever cast. Partly the absurd experimental plays. Partly the banter between players, they were clearly all enjoying themselves and the low sodium content definitely added to the experience!

@Gyle You can check who's a Phantom by looking at their Energy-Storage-Capacity, which jumps to +300000 when you become a Phantom.
Hey Gyle, I just want to thank you for zooming in on the action so much! It's a big difference between you and other SupCom casters, and its the main reason I watch your vids specifically, because it makes the matches enjoyable even to someone that's no longer actively playing the game, in a way that looking at the sterile gray strategic map isn't.

Edit: I would love to see other game content like Crusader Kings, Age of Empires, Civilization, Total War, any Firaxis games really, Sins of a Solar Empire, etc. Strategy/tactics games paired with Gyle cast is heaven.

I expected a Yolona Nuke to obliterate DayBreak prematurely. Considering Turbo's lack of navy, taking out all the HARMS and SAMs wasn't valueable for him. Should have blown Jaguar's and Chilled's production or fleets instead.

I think that happened once and then the death explosion of the washers killed the rest.
yes, you can bomb asf and kill them all, once i got a game where i had a CZAR over a yolona and the nuke hit the CZAR and the yolona and the base went down, cool stuff
Never played phantom games but just from watching a few of these I can already tell you never break with the second phantom before the Innocents are dead. Never. Cuz they're just gonna recover and pick off the weak winner of the phantom fight

Why is every Phantom game the same? The phantoms utterly crush the innocents in the beginning, paranoia starts to set in, they blow each other up without moping up the remains and then they lose.
Because If one Phantom gets to many good things it poses a major threat to the other Phantom so its a balancing act. If one phantom feels threaten they will turn and hope that the innocents are weakened enough that once the power phantom is dealt with than he hopes to mop the others.
@@AnimeAmvStar Can't they just agree to CTRL K at the same time when they kill off the innocents? It's not like phantom games are ranked, right?
@@NexusWarior211 That kinda goes against the spirit of what the Phantom mode is about. The phantoms are given enormous advantages such that they'd just crush the innocents if they fought together to the end. The balance of the game mode is hinged on the fact that the innocents can win together but the Phantoms can't (well, that and the existence of the Paladin). But it's not just balance - it'd be less fun your way. Just a curbstomp by the Phantoms followed by a draw? That sounds lame imo.
@@ArawnOfAnnwn Maybe the solution would be to have more players on the side of the innocents i guess. Also what you described does happen in a way, as i said every Phantom match is the same.
@@NexusWarior211 They aren't but that's also asking to trust someone else that can only win by themselves to have some form of honor. It goes against the nature of having to win by yourself. You have to trust someone else that is out for themselves won't backstab you to win the game and honest. Turbo was a way too dangerous with the way he went.

How do you remove the cybran build-drones from visual display? I see alot of casts and players only having red beams while building stuff as cybran, i'd love to know, save some work for my graphics card!
Its a graphics/performance mod on Faf I don't really recall what its called should be pretty much on the front page of the mod vault tho so just look it up if you're still looking for it.

As per usual, the Phantoms lose not because of the innos or the paladin, but because of the other phantom breaking when the innos are STILL ALIVE.

Hi demonicpain 10. I did end up getting FAF. Its great. Haven't played a game with other players. Just been doing VS AI and the campaign on Hard.. thats quite tough. Would like to hit up a coop campaign one day. Cheers

Yep. There is a console version, but don't go there.
All the casts you see are done on the pc.

@@galacticadeadloc1638 it's about 2 bucks on steam when it's for sale on steam. Almost any pc runs it now. So join us on FaF where there are constantly people playing. To bad the majority likes turtle (eco) maps, but still many normal games can be found there. As well as a ton of maps, mods enhancements.

Great game but everytime I watch Phantom game I see it as totally unbalanced on main rules level. Those rules, or mechanic if You want, do not works well. There is some problems with balance.
