Stem as to stop comes from the old Norse word Stemma which means to dam or block.

I'd say it was deparation at that point but still, yeah, it did the job.
What an absolutely based play from Swkoll. I really thought he'd had it before he did that hot drop. And even better, he followed through afterwards. Mozy could have recovered given enough time and space to do so, but Swkoll kept the pressure up and really put his superiority in the air and in naval tech to excellent use. Fantastic game.
19:54 was the most excited I’ve seen Gyle in awhile.

On an other note, have you seen the interview series on the FAF channel Mike is doing with the FA devteam, especially the latest vid with ChrisTaylor?
They talk about some pretty interesting stories of the olden days, and also throw around ideas for creating a worthy successor of FA.
Maybe you would have some comments?
Since your early vids you have done a lot for the community and regularly given a shoutout to the efforts of FAF guys, and I think these vids might need a bit more attention.

This game for me is the pinnacle of RTS unfortunately I don't have a pc capable of running this masterpiece! I have it on the 360 bare bonez edition. But I've been meaning to invest in some Decent hardware for a while now so I can join this amazing community and try and work my way up the ranks... hopefully one day! Very true, and his build orders when he landed were solid. He anticipated the greatest threat would come from the water and air and placed his triads and sam perfectly to deal with navy

Amazing game. The Commander and how it's finely balanced vs other units is one of the finest points of FA.
I'm used to seeing a base trade in the occasional AoE2 game but I never thought we'd come this close in Sup Com. Masterful play there.

You also forgot the 70-100 odd quid it takes to get across to the Isle when it's only like 2 miles... Literally costs less to fly to Europe..

This may be Gyle's favourite strategy but I've never seen anything like it! Very well played by both players - Mozy was pretty aggressive himself early on and deserves to be praised, even though Swkoll's play takes the cake.

That was a very lucky riposte. If he’d been suppressed a little longer, the resources used on the t3 upgrade might have completely tilted the balance to the point where recovery was no longer possible.

Hey gyle. I have watched most of your videoes over time, and i really enjoy the casting. Thank you for all the fun hours. I have a request that i hope you will see. I personally enjoy 1vs1 myself for the most part. Is there any chance i can make you make a playlist with 1vs1 games? i am not asking you to sort all previous videoes, that would be to much. But adding future 1vs1 to a single playlist would be absolutely awsome. Thank you in advance.

Meanwhile top players concur that children underperform vs their cost and you shouldn't make them in competitive games, pending a buff in future patches.

I think Swkoll could have won if he spammed Light assault bots some few AA from those factories near the end and attacked Mozy Acu en mass.

So when is cybran navy gonna get the nerfhammer? Destroyers have 20% or so more DPS and is cheaper then most other frigates. And t2? thats even more OP.
UEF and Seraphim outdo them pretty well in T3 Navy though. You see a lot of Cybran navy spam in smaller 1v1 maps, but larger maps or team games they tend to get beat.

got to love the 20 plus minutes of nothing at the end, thought i was gonna watch a good long navy game but nope, a shorter game that ended cus of a acu drop. i get why you put the time at the end (so people dont know when it ends) but that almost half of the video that has 0 content in it. ive lvoed your videos gyle, been watching for several years but i dont understand this newish thing.
It's anti-spoiler. Used to just be nothing. Then it was blacked-out, but youtube added a preview you could see by hovering along the play bar. Having a still of the zoomed out map doesn't usually tell you much, especially if you hover along and get the low-res preview.
Other than that, I'm also clueless.
@@QT-Sei that was another thought on it I had. You can just hover over the bar (or hold it in mobile) and it will show you. Gyle moves around allot so it is easy to know about when it stops moving
