I mean okay, their aim is terrible enough to miss both Dante and Vergil whike they stand compketely still, but COME ON.

It almost seems like Mundus is the good guy. This scene here, and before the final battle, even after killing his child, he talks to the MC, hoping for reason.
He was right, he created structure, not perfect, but structure. The bros just caused death and chaos.
Killed Sparda's wife, so the amulet might be taken perhaps? Demon world no longer sealed. Almost like he had a legitmate reason for everything.
Only took out those in his way, or who opposed him. Not pure good, but definitely not bad.

they should've just made characters as new characters and make old characters have background roles/cameos

Time is slower on limbo than real world, Dante was alternating between limbo and real world, while Vergil and Kate were in the real world all the time.

@@neemojenkins881 No, the limbo was coming like a flood, kat and vergil were on the front in a car, thats why they're not affected, Dante gets left behind, so he keeps moving out of the range, and limbo catching him again. When he finally get on top of the car; dante, kat and vergil outrun the limbo.

Dante showed mercy to Lilith and Mundus' Spawn, albeit this is for his benefit to get Kat back, Dante kept his word but not for Vergil who shot them to death, Mundus should have asked who is the guy that killed his child instead before the boss fight

If this game was the first of a devil may cry series I would’ve been a massive hit and wouldn’t have gotten any of the type of hate it did. Capcom shipped it off to Ninja Theory purposely to give it a complete makeover and people lost their minds lol. The story was actually not bad and the gameplay mechanics were better than the originals. Although this is two generations ago I’d love to see a remastered pS5 version
It was maybe better in terms of gameplay compared to 1 and 2 bjt both 3 and 4 are far superior in those terms
I wish this was a prequel. Maybe in a remake of this they can change a few story inconsistencies to be with the mainline story because playing as a young Dante who is more impulsive would make an interesting storyline

DmC Vergil is the new Demon King (unlike Classic Vergil who is weaker and lost). But it doesn't have to stop there in the next DMC: Devil May Cry games. Like Sauron, Vergil marches the horde across the world and manipulates people to serve him. Doom Eternal shite going on here. Dante, Kat, Phineas, and several other warriors must unite the nations of the planet to fight Vergil and his army. This will be grand.

In Sith terms: Classic Vergil uses the Rule of One while DmC Vergil uses the Rule of Two.

But imagine if DmC Dante and Vergil became OP. They both unlock the Sin Devil Trigger and the Sin Angel Trigger. Then they combine the two into the Nephilim Trigger (like at the end of Bleach with Ichigo). Basically power can't win the day. The fact that DmC Dante/Vergil are entirely non-human outsiders means their attitudes towards humans just takes on a different significance. The the original games Vergil rejects humanity and Dante embraces it. In the reboot, Vergil looks down on humans, but Dante can see that they are still of equal value, which is a bigger leap of conscience when he isn’t half human. Humanity isn't just a human thing (despite the name), It is a ideal for all to strive toward. Classic Vergil fails at this but DmC Vergil succeeds in this.
But at the end of the day I believe Classic Vergil and DmC Vergil still have good within. Look at V in DMC5. Sure he was playing the long game but without humanity in you soul/ heart, you can't win in whatever you do.

This game is, in my opinion, hated way more than it deserves. Tbh, it's pretty good
It’s a great game but it’s not DMC. You have to understand, DMC already has established characters and a universe that a large number of people have come to appreciate. There’s years worth of world building behind it. At a time when fans were desperate for a true sequel, this was kind of a slap in the face of those looking forward that. They could’ve marketed this game as something else but straight up calling it Devil May Cry was in poor taste in my opinion. Again, I think it’s a great game in its own right and actually deserves proper attention.

Since I was one the few folks that didn’t act like this game burned my crops and smashed my siblings, the game was a bit of a rocky start.
The gameplay and the stages were sexy before DMC 5 came along. Storywise, so much better things could’ve been done. I can tolerate this version of Dante being the tryharding self-proclaimed “King of Hoes” but the character assassination of Vergil made Anita Blake look like Picasso. If a sequel does happen, you’ll have to unf*ck Tameem’s thanksgiving turkey and fix whatever mess he had made. I don’t want to talk about the Downfall DLC.
This game gets a lot of shit but the X1/PS4 version is fun. The problem is that they never ported the definitive edition to pc

Wtf you are gonna do after Dante and Virgil kill Mundus except for prequels staring Sparda. DmC can expand on the action level based concept into something like semi-open world game like Ninja Gaiden 1 did and finally explore the abilities of their devil triggers. Maybe they can abilities or transformations that are inspired from Majora's Mask to get more mobility options and abilities.

If I'm gonna be real here..I actually have some love for this game..I feel like most people overly exaggerated the game as like the worst reboot..I guess that's because their not used to this type of game..I think this is where I disagree with the community..Of course this Is only an opinion..So It really shouldn't be taken to heart..You just follow what you think of the game..Wether you like it or not..I don't mind people not liking it..They always have their reasons for not liking it..And if they ever have the idea of making it better..Then good for them..

No. The 40 year old virgins got upset because they didn't give Dante white hair and it lacked the cringe one liners. Combos felt nice. Story was dark and sorta tied in to modern day it was genuinely fantastic. Plus soundtrack.
This game isn’t bad. It’s just not what the fanbase wanted back then. The gameplay is fun. A bit stiff, but it feels good. And the story is alright with a predictable ending. I heard the Definitive Edition fixed some things like adding a lock-on system, which I wish was available in the original. If this was a stand alone game, it’d be more popular. But because it’s a Devil May Cry game, the expectations were set pretty high and…well you know, “game bad”.

Nero is an objectively better written hero than Donte. Nero has a noble goal, insecurity over his demonic power, feels remorse for the death of Credo, and the story if DMC4 ends in him accepting his power. Donte is just an edgy cunt who catches feelings for Kat, and Vergil's power trip is poorly done due to a lack of build up beyond 2 scenes.
Thank god they never kept going with this lame ass version
