- Quick slide show of detailed close ups showing our method of replacing rusted Saturn Vue body to engine cradle mounts using 1/8" plate steel with .030 mig wire. This one is finished in Herculiner brand truck bed liner because that's what we had laying around. Awesome work
Have you ever fabricated the rear mounting points for the trailing arms of Saturn Vue’s? They also fall apart due to corrosion. I would be interested in a detailed video of that repair.
Yeah, they're pretty straight forward, similar to any Nissan or Toyota style trailing arm. I'll make a video of the next one that comes in.
Thank you. I will be looking forward to your video.
Another Redline! ✌️
Hey there, I have this problem on my 2006 V6. I am about 2 hours away from your shop, highly considering having it repaired by you. What are the dangers of driving it?
If it comes apart on both sides, there's a good chance that the engine will contact the body on the passenger side and damage the ac compressor and serpentine belt. The steering also becomes erratic and you'll crash head on into a church van full of orphans. Better to have it towed.
Hey, how much would you charge to do this job for someone? I need this done 😆. 2006 V6 FWD 169,xxx
Depends on how far gone it is... They're all different. Usually in the neighborhood of $1500 to do both sides.
@@pistonring8 thank you for replying. It's completely separated but only on the driver side. Guess I'll wait until the other side goes then say goodbye or try to fix it at some point. Thanks again.
