It's not about the amount of G/A a player has, it's about how clinical and important those goals are. Suarez was a major UCL ghost while Vini is one of the most clinical ucl players I've ever seen. Just an important note, the ballon d'or award is for the best player in a season year no matter what the standard or level of the footballers in their present eras. A player can actually win the ballon d'or for what he did of good performance in a specific season and than retire the season after. So its not related to age, its related to the performance of the player in one season no matter its consistent or not
