Hi Eve, I'm a native Spanish speaker and I want to let you know that your Spanish is amazing. Your grammar and vocabulary are incredible, you should be extremely proud. If I can just give you a tiny little tip, it would be to soften a bit the sound of the letters "S" and "R", it would make you sound a bit more native. I hope that doesn't offend you, as a person who enjoys learning languages I always appreciate tips from native speakers :). Seriously though, be very proud of your level of Spanish, I haven't heard many native English speakers who can speak Spanish with such fluency!
    * Regarding your grammar question, it should be either "He echado a Oxford de menos" or "He extrañado Oxford". ;)

Eve, I'm a native Spanish speaker. When you pronounce the letters "r" and "s" you do a great job. As matter of fact, you do an awesome job overall when communicating in Spanish. All you need is practice with native Spanish speakers so you learn modisms.

    • @Lucy-cp8gr
      @Lucy-cp8gr Před 3 lety +13

@@RevisionWithEve for the letter "R" when it's in the middle of a word like "perfectamente". The letter "S" it sounds a bit strong in general, I feel like us Spaniards tend to say it a little bit softer, or we don't emphasize it so much, if that makes sense? I'm just saying it as a tip, but honestly you don't even really need it, your accent is already really good and any Spanish speaker would be able to understand you perfectly ❤️

Hello! As a Spaniard I have to say that your Spanish is very very good, you don’t make grammar / vocab mistakes and you pronounce everything pretty well! The key to sounding more Spanish is speaking faster- right now you speak Spanish at the same speed you speak English! That will make your sentences sound less “jittery”!!

Hi Eve! Your Spanish is literally AMAZING. Your pronounciation, grammar and vocabulary are extremely good and you should be proud of it!! As a native Spanish speaker (from Spain), since you mentioned you want to improve your Spanish accent (even tough it's already very good), you may want to pronounce the "c" and "z" with the tip of your tongue slightly between your teeth (like in English when you say "think" or "through" for instance) in words like "cerveza", "cabeza", "empezar", etc...
Finally, regarding 10:41 I think you meant to say "(Yo) echo de menos Oxford"/(Yo) extraño Oxford" which translates to "I miss Oxford" and not "Oxford me echa de menos" ("Oxford misses me").
Hope this helped! Keep up the great work Eve!

Hola, Eve!!

Hope it makes sense!!

It’s actually crazy how much of this I understand even though I haven’t done Spanish since Year 8 (same age as Eve) but still can’t have a full conversation with someone in Spanish 😂😂

Que raro es escucharte en español, mi cerebro se acostumbró a escucharte hablar inglés británico (e intentar copiarlo jajaja). Tremendo todo lo que avanzaste, te felicito! 👏👏👏 Se nota que tenés un muy buen nivel de gramática y vocabulario! Y se nota que aprendes acento español!!! 👏 Abrazo desde Argentina, ojalá puedas visitarnos algún día!💜

Hello! Bilingual Spanish English speaker here ! Just some advice, the way you pronounce your c and z , are like s at the moment , yet if you change the pronunciation of these two letter in your words then you will deffo sound more native :)

The good thing of being Brazilian is that I can understand everything Eve is saying without even having studied Spanish 😂 You did a great job Eve!

Hey eve, your Spanish is great! I was very impressed by your grammar and vocabulary!
Interesting because I have a similar background as you - I studied German and beginners Spanish at uni but 5 years later my German is way weaker than my Spanish! Idk why, I have just always struggled to develop fluency with German because of the near impossible grammar. The past year I haven't practiced it at all I feel like I've totally lost my speaking, but I still understand everything.
I've been in Madrid for the past year and something I'm working on to improve my accent is pronouncing c and z like 'th'' e.g thena (cena). Also making sure to pronounce both v and b as B e.g bale (vale).
Enjoy the rest of your time in Seville!
