The backstory of OB wanting people to appreciate his writing really makes the scene where Casey wants his autograph hit so much harder now.
I like to relate his backstory from everything everywhere all at once.who knows if it is secretly connected. Alpha waymond saves the day:)
Loki becoming the God of Stories is an obvious conclusion. But, if he is the God of Stories, he would remember everything from the past. OB on the other hand is mysterious and, still, an enigma.
In 2/6, I hypothesize that OB is central to everything. In 2/5, he perked up with a comment, "So, I am the best-selling author" when Loki mentioned a book on every desk in TVA. He also told Loki in the same episode that it was like a character from his book which has now come to life. There is a deeper meaning to his conduct and comments. Also, we have not explored why OB's memory was not wiped out, and why he remembers everything and everyone. Loki goes into the past and communicates with OB. OB is a fiction writer and there is a script for everyone - not just WHR. Since his introduction, his behavior seems to be steering Loki and everyone.

i havent read agent of asgard, but "god of stories" and the way he's being described really reminds me of dream of the endless from the sandman (who is sometimes called "the prince/lord of stories" by various cultures). i know the characters are probably vastly different, especially considering dream isn't really a god persay, but i really love those sandman comics so if it's anything similar i'll be ecstatic

Craziest thing about Loki is that he always knew he was created for a glorious purpose. He just never knew what that purpose was. And because of his upbringing with Odin and Thor, he always felt out of place in their shadow. So he spent his life trying to get out of it in the wrong ways. Look at how far he has come. ❤

That’s actually a really great take, he did know it within himself that he was meant to rule, he just saw how Odin had conquered back then and thought that’s how you rule a world, but he started being good and he got his glorious purpose

Another note, Loki has said "I promise you this will all make sense." 3 times through out the second season
I think by the end of the season Loki is definitely going evolve this multiverse a lot more differently than we expected.

I love how Loki is becoming such an important part of the MCU, and how he could save the whole MCU as a whole in the fiction world as well as ours. Can't wait to see what they do with this character and what other potentials he has that we don't even know about.

Now it makes sense that his name is Oroborus. The snake that eats it's own tail is also represented by Jormungar, the world snake. Jormungar is also a child of Loki.

In the episode 1 of season 1 when Mobious is questioning Loki he asks what Loki wants to rule.. Loki says earth and then Mob says something like why stop there.. why not rule space.. Loki king of space

He's too much of an anomaly for HWR to let exist. OB must be more powerful/important than we think.
It seems right, because in the scene Loki goes to the Mobius timeline, OB timeline in episode 5, and other timelines when they don't know TVA yet. There Loki invited them and told them about TVA and become Mobius in TVA or OB etc.
I believe OB to be the physical manifestation of time, since he only realizes something has happened after it has been shown or told by other people, it's not like he has personal memories. He remembers because they tell him. The snake that bites itself.
The only difference is that Kang erased their memories while Loki of course isn't going to do that
I Assume that the only way to fix time is for Loki to put himself back into the timeline. Remember he pruned himself from it. Which might be why he can navigate through it up to the point of being pruned. Maybe he will have to go back in to keep the timelines from fraying. He is the glue by which time is held together. He lives all stories at once.
Loki always self-described himself as being filled with glorious purpose, and it's so fun to see that purpose being fulfilled on this series in a way that both we, and he didn't expect!
It's kind of funny how Loki talked about how he saw Thor change in his character from an arrogant leader to a more humble one, and now it's echoed in him as well.
The scene where obi tells loki one of his story character came to life reminds me of the episode of supernatural where Chuck (God) tells the winchester’s he was a god. At the time it was disguised as a joke but it was really foreshadowing his future reveal as god. It feels like OB is doing some foreshadowing here. You have to be a supernatural fan to understand this haha
I have been thinking about that ever since he time-slipped the first time - the whole plot is basically a time paradox in which he brought himself to the TVA in order to create it one day in the "future".
I hope the writers acknowledge the original conception of the TVA and how HWR came to power, and don't chalk it up to a timeloop and having Loki be the original creator like many people have suggested will happen. I want to see the time where HWR won and took over the TVA, otherwise the Kang Dynasty has no explanation.
If the "God of Stories" arc is accurate and true, I think it would be a perfect "Ouroboros" call back to S01E01 when Loki is tried before Judge Renslayer, stating "You ridiculous bureaucrats will not dictate how my story ends!" To which Renslayer responds, "It's not your story, Mr. Laufeyson. It never was." Perhaps he will dictate how his story ends...

I see Loki’s arc going two possible ways. We either see a redemption story where Loki helps save the world OR the original villain of the first Avenger film returns WAY more powerful and is the big bad all along.

God i loved that comic storyline! I am so glad they seem to ve adapting that into the show and into the MCU. He could become, for the multiverse, an allfather himself, a watcher whi occasionally steps in to smooth out bumps. I think, if given the chance, he would have been an amazing leader and this will solidify him as one of the best characters in the MCU (not that he isnt already one of them)

Isn't almost everything that happened in S2E5 a wash from each character's POV, except Loki's? At the end of the episode, Loki goes back in his own timeline to before he does the things you're saying "create" the TVA. Assuming that Loki is able to prevent the Temporal Loom from exploding, then Loki never recruits Mobius, B-15, and OB. He never gives OB the TVA handbook, and OB never builds the TemPad in his original timeline. The only thing that permanently "happened" in this episode was Loki learning to control his timeslipping. Everything else will be rewritten based on what Loki does in the finale.

Lol the whole point of the episode was the development of his control of the time slipping. What we saw was just the origin of the important varients.
Unless there is some weird multiversial time loop going on and the creation of the TVA becomes necessary in order to also deal with the loom. At least I don't understand how the things would be undone. Everything that happened, happened. Anything else would be paradoxical.
OB built the first tempad. The tempad disappeared before Loki figured out how to time slip (they accused Casey of taking it). So it's possible Loki learning to time slip isn't the only purpose of this episode

Some clarification: an ouroboros is NOT a grandfather paradox. An Ouroboros is a closed loop of causality, where one thing causes another thing, which in turn, causes the first thing, creating a loop. A grandfather paradox is a paradox in which nothing can work properly, basically, if you travel back in time and kill your grandfather, then you wouldn't be alive to go back in time to kill your grandfather.

What ive always been confused about is why kang the conqueror chose to create the time sphere to traverse time and space, while he who remains used tempads. Especially if Victor is indicated to have invented the multiversal engine core. How are these two totally different technologies which do the same purpose (travelling in space and time) related? And why does one variant choose over the other?
Does this mean that Loki is the most powerful person in the MCU now? Considering he can now write time through time slipping.
Right? He is, if the concept of his time slipping is not same as flash which flash keeps fixing time until it collapse which destroys the timeline.
He totally wants Thanos to kill him to make all this possible

Nah, i don't think he could rewrite nor be in the stories itself as he's the one holding the multiverse or the timeline, he's basically useless... But if he's truly the god of stories like in the comics he wouldn't have to hold the timeline but just re-write everything with his power but seems like he can't do that so he doesn't have the power of the god of stories...

It is basically a loop, all of what's happening, even tho we haven't seen Secret Wars yet but that event specifically had happened before, the loki series is just the perspective of how the war starts back again, means the event of Loki series

Just like the Doctor was given a script by the other character in Don't Blink, I think Loki gave Kang the script in season 1 episode 6.

Why do I feel like the last two episodes might end up revealing at least a contingency plan ‘exit strategy’ to dispatch with Majors’ Kang (and variants) with minimal narrative fuss?

@@Tristan_FB82 I know. I mean this series would be the set-up so that a firm exit / write-off could happen in a near-future film.
Maybe they filmed two endings, one with the Kangs starting their assault on the Multiverse, one with Loki (and/or O.B.) taking clear control. Just a nagging hunch. It wouldn’t be the first time the MCU went with a ‘second choice’ ending. Or something vague, like ‘killing’ the Scarlet Witch at the end of ‘Multiverse of Madness.’ Very easy to either bring Elisabeth Olsen back or not based on that and what the Timeline book says.
OB could have just studied victor timely’s work in general. Which prompted him to become a scientist. The possibilities of that science led to the fiction writing . Which is why he could build a tempad in 19 months.
Ever think about how the fact OB buys his own book to make people think it's popular kinda mirrors the tva book published enough to have one on EVERY desk in the tva but nobody really reads it

One thing I think is interesting with Loki and the TVA is the Orange and Green theme and the fact the the Time Stone was originally orange but Marvel now shows it as green.
