Words can‘t describe what i am feeling. This song (band) is so fucking outstanding 🤯
2 years ago I left a comment here and now times past and after being abused since , this is my song for how I feel. I am not giving in anymore . Take me take my pain ....so true for more reasons than just one . 16 years I spent trying so hard to please someone who really didn't give a sh!t about me . Never give in or give up !!❤👍✌️💯
Hope you're in healthy and stable place, friend.
@@Andy-ux9sk thank you and yes moved back with my son and daughter in my original home , just trying to put it in my past . As a man you don't hear of abuse as much but please know it happens and it happened to me .

When a song hits u really hard, and then u start crying without any reason, thats called a MASTERPIECE!
Heard this song 2 nights ago for the first time ever and it was live!! It brought me to tears immediately. Masterpiece for sure!!!! Manchester Orchestra you have new fan for life!!
This song is art.
Might be beyond imagination but there is always a reason behind every single thing.

Yes
This song has saved my life. Grieving for over 2 years. I understand the science of this song. It hurts, but it's true. And then there's hope for tomorrow ❤
So, I heard this for the first time last night. I've played it about 15 times since then. It's as if my ears and soul need to check if the last time I heard it, it was actually real?
The sound, the vibe from this, is like a hypnotic meditation in which you're trapped and you want to pour out an inner emotion, but you don't, because the strained notes and pitch of his voice express all that needs to be said. And there you are, seized and trapped, almost in a daze as you just simply.............listen........ and let it out. Incredible track. Underrated band. A new favourite. Simply epic.
Beautiful comment❤
Beautifully said.
Peace and love to all
I feel the same.
I found this song by accident, and it has become the song I turn to to get myself out of whatever is happening in my head.
Simply, totally, rocks!

True words
This song got me through one of the biggest transitions of my life. I gave birth to a baby girl without the dad in the picture. I would listen to this while I rocked her to sleep for months. It gave me strength in my choices. His toxic pain ended with me. Not my daughter.
History will repeat itself until somebody is ready to feel it & heal it.. he didn't want to break the patterns. So I broke it for the sake of my daughter.
To me this song has 3 stories. Mine. His. & Hers.
Little girl you are not cursed by his ancestry. Bc I took you away from his darkness & agony.
I will always hold you above all the misery. I opened my eyes & I'm glad that I got here.
Thank you for this beautiful song.
💜
This comment is as good as the song.
I hope you and your daughter remain safe and happy for the rest of your days on this planet.
Hey, we are here with you. May God bless your daughter. All the best wishes to you and your beautiful daughter. Congratulations for having an angel (your daughter) sent to you!♥️
Amazing, thank you for sharing
I had a similar experience right as my son was born except it was with my own father. The end of this song will always mean more to me than I could ever explain to anyone, except probably you. We can both be happy to open our eyes and be glad that we got here. I wish you nothing but the best!
Vilifying a person's father can have disastrous effects later down the line (psychologically speaking), just ask me. I'm glad you could leverage the power of music to help you through a difficult time, but you'd do well to stamp out that narrative before your daughter is old enough to understand/internalize it.
What the fuck, man... I was just sitting here minding my business, CZcams on shuffle, and now I got the shivers.

This song is a masterclass in rising action. Absolutely one of the most powerful, emotive, and dynamic songs I've ever heard in my life.
I'm a total sucker for constant build ups in tracks as well. Music that starts slow and quiet and then builds up to a big finale is just something else! Led Zeppelins Stairway To Heaven is a classic example, but here's another one you'd probably never heard of: czcams.com/video/JzSKVjW2Nw4/video.html
@@toreellenhanhj6726 Yeah, same here. Thanks for the recommendation; I dig it. Marchant has a great tone and aesthetic to his music. My favorite "rising action" song is probably "The Widow" by the Mars Volta, or "Orestes" by A Perfect Circle. If you haven't heard either, I envy you. What I wouldn't give to hear either for the first time again.
For some reason this touches my soul after losing my 28 year old son in a car accident. I swear, I feel you with me, Josh Timby, every time I listen to this. I wish we’d discovered this music together when you were still here…

I can't imagine anything more painful than losing one of mine. You're loved. Your son's presence echoes on.

When you google "music" this should be the top result
So this is what having an eargasm feels like
Why do I deserve the science
To feel better about you
At a loss I lost my cool
I denied that I found you
I tried to be a basket case
I did not surprise you
I'm trying to find a signal fire
Let me know when I should move
But you, amplified in the silence
Justified in the way you make me bruise
Magnified in the science
Anatomically proved that you don't need me
Why do I decide the space?
I was mourning after you
I was lost and lost my shape
There was nothing I could do
I don't want to waste away
It was all I gave to you
Take me back and take my place
I will rise right up for you
But you, amplified in the silence
Justified in the way you make me bruise
Magnified in the science
Anatomically proved that you don't need me
All the while you waste away, you're asking
"Did I really need another one to take me down?"
Everybody knows it's something that you had to live with darling
Nobody's gonna tear you down now
There is nothing you keep, there is only your reflection
There is nothing you keep, there is only your reflection
There was nothing but quiet retractions
And families pleading, "Don't look in that cabinet
There's far more bad than there's good, I don't know how it got there"
That was something your father had burned in me
20 hours out of Homestake eternity
You can go anywhere but you are where you came from
Little girl, you are cursed by my ancestry
There is nothing but darkness and agony
I can not only see, but you stopped me from blinking
Let me watch you as close as a memory
Let me hold you above all the misery
Let me open my eyes and be glad that I got here
Little girl, you are cursed by my ancestry
There is nothing but darkness and agony
I can not only see, but you stopped me from blinking

I met these guys when they were mere kids. They came off as something real special even then. Now I have seen them in concert 3 times and listened to hours of their music. I’m 69 years old and been playing drums in rock bands all of my life. Trust me and my words please. These guys will likely not get the accolades they deserve but, they will be remembered throughout time by all who have experienced them. So great!! I also posted this on another YT Channel that loves their music.

I FEEL for you. I was VERY close to my g-ma & her loss cant be equalled by nobody including my own mother. 💔 Grandmothers love unconditionally & actually LISTEN in times of need & heard things I needed to confide in someone about without looking down on me. After loving me through so many hardships it killed me to NOT be with her at the very end of her life 10 years ago. ❤ And I agree, these songs soothe the suffering in the deepest parts of our souls. Peace be to you & yours, bro! 💕

I heard this song for the first time last night. (Nov 13 2020) I’ve lost count how many times I’ve listened to in these last 24 hours. It kept me from doing something really stupid, it pulled me back from the ledge so to speak. I’d been on the ledge, that razor sharp edge since my husband died. I finally let it go, I let go of the pain and hurt that was what I became. Thank you for such beautiful music and incredible lyrics. You guys don’t remind me of any band I’ve heard in the last 50 years....you are unique to yourselves. I love that. Blessing, love and light from an old hippie chick. Thank you, a million thank yous❣️

This song is for real. What is “your silence” what stops you from completing your journey. You could Take me back, take my place or just walk away with no reason. You don’t need me, that’s easy to see, I can live with that. You have set me free from my own chains. Moving forward, I win and you loose. Everyday I wake up thank God I am free and for what it’s worth, the truth will always be my silence.

Dear guys.♥️♥️♥️ I can't speak English very well, but I'll try to describe my feelings.
I am beginning singer, and my dream is to find my real individuality, my own way in a music... it's so hard for me... I'm like a jailbird, and I'm searching for this realness, depth, spontaneity...this invisible power, that makes you fall on your shoulder blades, and all.
And y'all playing so naturally, y'all HAVE THIS POWER, and you inspired me SO MUCH.
Every single shot in this video - is goosebumps all over my body. Every single note is so unempty, deep... Thank you all SO MUCH. Thanks, that give me this example.

This is Andy’s magnum opus. The fact that he’s talking to his daughter this entire album concluding with this is a testament to the growth this band has show over the last 15 years.
I'm going tell everyone something, sometimes the best moments for me are alone in my garage with a drink and headphones listening to my music occasionally with a smoke .
Egal wie oft ich dieses "Lied" höre es haut mich immer wieder um. Einfach eines DER BESTERN Lieder die ich kenne, diese unfassbare POWER ist der Wahnsinn
Looking forward to seeing this. The album version is great, but the live version is something else entirely. Just about everything that's ever been great about Manchester Orchestra can be found in this song.
OsidiustheEmphatic Manchester Orchestra is one of those rare artists that are 1000 times better live than studio recorded. The album version is already amazing but If you go to a MO concert expecting to hear them play the album version of your favorite songs you will quickly find out that your not going to get that, instead you are going to receive the album version magnified to a whole new realm , raw, and better then could have ever thought possible. It's as if they go into the studio, wrote and record the greatest songs ever, then go on tour and every night fine tune them on the fly, as if to say "well yea you have the album and have listened to it a million times so we are going to give you something better than that and it's for your show and your show only" . Lol There is just something that they are able to do live that can't be captured in a studio. If you are lucky enough to see them live with their hometown buddy band O'BROTHER then you are in for the most amazing treat ever, guaranteed to have hair raising goosebumps and great vibes from start to finish. They don't dramatically change the songs and revision them like COPE vs HOPE, but just slightly hear and there so it's like no matter how many times you listened to the songs it's like your hearing and experiencing it for the first time all over again. I have gotten to see MO many many times over the years from the regular touring shows to the annual The Stuffing shows since they are from my hometown, so I for one know. Amazing artist.
In this year of isolation I have discovered so much good music. Manchester Orchestra is simply incredible. I am just blown away by their sound. They reach deep inside of you and lay you bare.
What a great time to find them! Might I suggest Bad Books, Right Away Great Captain, and Kevin Devine as well. All great stuff.

greetings from Russia. Mmusic and the feeling with which he sings are not subject to politics or any other hostility, I hope everyone understands this, this is great music
It's very hard to express what emotions this song invokes in me. It makes me feel something different each time I give it a listen. But one thing has always been there since the first time I heard it: It makes me more human as it reminds me of the most basic truth about myself, maybe the only thing I could be sure of in this world about my being: That I'm just a human being. With all its complexities and paradoxes; with all its merits, deficiencies and misdeeds; with all its passions and disillusions. Life is just like one interwoven web of endless cycles of hope and defeat, joy and sorrow. Like a neverending loop of constantly believing and grieving. This song helps me believe. Believe in the fact that what I've come to know so far is too little compared to what has been unknown to me; that I'm so small and unimportant than I think of myself; and that my inner world is much deeper, larger, and livelier than anyone could think of, including me. So it's like trying to climb a ladder in the dark with an infinite number of stairs, reaching all the way down to the self yet unseen. This song is a lantern. One of the countless signs one could hold onto not to fall down into the rabbit hole. It's a piece of rope and a sign of hope in a world of ties dissevered and hopes destroyed. So this song is a call for anyone who would like to give an ear. As we all need to continue to just hold on and hope.
“web of endless cycles”

Somebody just had to write a song that was amazing, oh and play it live like it was their last night on earth.
I was late in the game finding this. I was always so closed off. But because of shitty drugs, not being able to handle reality and a lack of purpose I went to rehab at 27. I found manchester then. I am 30. Heading back to rehab. And I wish wish I had a point. But I don't. U guys inspire me. You write such moving music. My mom says I feel to much. As a man your not suppose to feel. So I feel so much but yet hide it all. U guys make me feel not so alone and the world less chaotic. Soothing a storm within me that has been raging for along time. Thabk you for the brief moments I cherish with friends and your music.

Wow. Live. With that quality. Outstanding.
I have my doubts that this is a 100% live recording... I think it's a hybrid, or at least an extremely edited version. The timing has been corrected, the lyrics were smoothed out for sure; just search for other live versions and you'll see that this one was obviously edited or a straight up studio versions. One of my favorite songs ever but does kinda bother me that they offer this as a live version when it's not

If I could, I would have legit sent you enough money for you to make it. I know what it means to be too broke and have your favourite artist in town and not being able to make it. But yeah, here's to hoping you don't miss anyone else. We all deserve our favourite artists, live. :) ❤️

Amazing. Manchester Orchestra is one of the best bands in existence. Their lyrics give you chills and their performances are anthemic, epic, and monumental. This band is on a higher level than others. Black Mile To The Surface is a masterful album and I can't wait to hear what they do next.
Mother's heartbeat......never forget, got you started, got you listening.......made your heart beat a little faster, because there was love, and that
was what you were seeking....
Its rare to find a song that's so profound and moving. Its affected every single person who I've recommended this to, each in their own unique way.
MOST BEAUTIFUL AND POWERFUL SONG I HAVE HEARD IN A LONG TIME.
My life will not be complete until I see and hear this performed live
If the audio in this clip is the actual audio from this performance the audio engineer deserves a medal.
