Nevaeh, this old grandma was still a teenager when Little House first came on TV. I loved it then, and still do, so this project of yours is near and dear to my heart. You've rocked the clothes perfectly, and are the most gorgeous pioneer girl ever. And you're very brave in this day and time to go out in public "in costume". It was bold and courageous, and even Kaimani got some great filming practice in public. You kids are incredible ! ❤
Nevaeh, the next time you want to make your own butter. Keep the jar and lid. Give the marbles back to your little sister or brother. Better to not use glass marbles in a glass jar, plus they are not needed. Let the heavy/whipping cream get to room temperature. Fill the jar with your cream, but not all the way. You need space for the cream to work. Tighten the lid. Shake, and keep shaking the jar. Soon, it will turn into whip cream. Continue on shaking the jar. Soon, it will start to separate into whey and butter. drain the whey. Fill with fresh water. With a wooden spoon, work the water into the butter to rinse the butter clean. Drain out water. Take the spoon and work the butter pressing the water out of the butter. This is when you sprinkle salt over the butter and work it into the butter. Place the butter into a container. Enjoy great homemade butter. I have been making butter since I was 8 years old, I'm 68 years old. I use a glass Daisy Butter Churn my grandmother used in the early 1930s. You just turn the crank handle which turns the paddles. Nothing better than fresh homemade butter you made.

Haha! Your video is so fun! I am a HUGE history nerd and when I was in my early 20’s living in Massachusetts I used to participate in Revolutionary War re-enactments. Yes, I, as an early 20’s something female, dressed up like a Colonial boy, marched with a regiment, and played the fife. It was so much fun! I actually loved going into grocery stores and other places because people always wanted to take pictures with me. 😊

A lot of this video resonated with me. I loved Little House on the Prairie shows. Also, I went on a real wagon train ride in Montana in 1985. It was the experience of a lifetime. I started out riding a horse, then had to ride in the covered wagon for a bit......it was NOT comfortable. I see now why so many women and children walked beside the wagons! Then I rode the horse again. I wore western jeans and a shirt back then, but I agree, to feel the real experience, wear the right clothes! 😅 this was a humorous, light video and I'm glad you chose to make it.

So Fun & Cute! I was coming back from a pre-1840 rendezvous in northern Colo, because of time conatraints I left the site in full buckskins and hat. Needed to stop for gas and had same experence with people looking, although no one one said anything at small gas station-lol

I found this so much fun! We have those same covered wagons by us and just an hour ago I was looking at them to rent for a weekend. So funny! I would for sure have to buy the outfit. My grandkids would find it very amusing.
