Every time I have gone under anesthesia, when I come out of it, it is imperative that I get in the shower as soon as possible because (in my thinking) the anesthesia coming out of my pores makes me sick. After I got clean in the shower, I was fine. Sorry you "drunk" texted all the boys, we have all been there. :)

I had 2 full sets of wisdom teeth, they removed my 1st set while I was 7 months pregnant (numbed the mouth, I was awake for the surgery). 2nd set was removed 4 months after I had my son & again was awake just numbed my whole mouth. That was 26 years ago. Ice was my best friend along with all soft foods. After a couple days I was eating tacos, talk about feeling like I was starving. I ate 9 tacos that 1st day. Best of luck for a speedy recovery ❤

I have had so much anesthesia for surgeries, I come awake on them. When I wake up I’m awake and alert really quick. You did fine. I think the blood drainage and the medications is what makes you sick. I remember my sister looked like a chipmunk for over a week.

Mom, you can dissolved the pain med in about 1 tablespoon of warm tap water to help her get the med in. I use this tip for my hospice pt (use a small amount of water for them) who can't swallow. Since it is a immediate release pain med it will not do any harm. Way way easier than crushing and mixing in food - you lose some of the meds when crushing. Bless her heart - hopefully she will not have much pain - though tonight will be the hardest time. I encourage you give her pain meds at bedtime tonight - even if she is not hurting then. Once she goes to sleep, she will start hurting as her body is no longer distracted (less going on). Tomorrow you can see how she is doing.

I had all my wisdoms removed surgically when I was about 14 or 15 . It was a total nightmare. I woke up during the surgery (as usual) while the doc was on the chair with me playing tug a war with my tooth. My wisdoms were wrapped around my jaw. It took me three weeks to recover because my jaw seized up and I couldn't open it wide enough to get the stitches removed. I lived on broth and yoplait sucking it all through a straw. This was back in the 80's. I hope your surgery and recovery was easier.

After my wisdom teeth were removed, the other teeth separated, especially my two front two. The gap kept growing, too. Now I only have one front tooth left, and it's loose. I only have 5 upper teeth. I had a tooth removed in Dec and it's much different and better than before. Just take it easy, take your meds and try not to swallow the discharge and you'll be fine sweetie. Hang in there!

Bless you! I had my wisdom teeth removed when I was 18.(many moons ago, lol) Mine were impacted and had to be cut out. I swelled up so bad. I only had 3. The 4th never came in. So glad you are feeling better.

You did great. And the boys that stick with you after receiving them pics are good guys.
I got a local then the doc put a knee on my chest and ripped em out. Didn’t do the ice pack or drugs, just tea bags in each to prevent ‘dry socket’.
Went back to work but couldn’t talk so left.
Don’t remember changing my diet at all.

Oh Nevaeh you brought back memories from years and years ago. Back then we didn't have a way to document events with video's like this. But from what I was told by my family, I reacted like you did ! Lol ! But seriously, bless your heart for allowing it all to be filmed and shared. So glad to see you are on the mend ! Love, hugs and prayers from a Great Grandma in Kansas

Glad to see you're back to yoiur 100%! I also had 4 wisdom teeth removed and couldn't eat for 2wks. My recovery was really bad so glad to see yours went a lot better than mine did. I always hope and pray when I hear that someone is having theirs removed that it will go better than I had mine go.

Nevaeh, you did really good!! The nausea may have been some blood that you swallowed, but was likely from the anesthesia and/or gas. Note for any future surgeries, ask for nausea medication BEFORE surgery to prevent nausea. After several surgeries with nausea, I wised up and started asking for medication beforehand and haven’t had nausea afterwards again. BTW, those ice packs are wonderful!! Love ya!!

"Prison brownies"...just so happens I had taken a sip of some AG1 (no kidding!) and almost spit it out all over my computer from laughter!! The pre-surgery shopping trip had me doubled over laughing! However, I did feel bad for you after the surgery because it's a rough surgery to go through.. Glad to see you looking better and on the road to recovery! Love from MN!

I had 2 pulled n walked back home. Only local shots. Another year, another wisdom tooth removed. I think another one is out as well. One at a time. And 2 out a time. Done. I can't believe the oral surgeon pulled out all 4 at once. 🙏

I was fortunate not to need to have my wisdom teeth out, but in the last two years I've had to have several of my teeth removed due to gum disease, so you have my deepest empathy. The pain isn't permanent, and you'll get used to how your mouth will feel different. I encourage you to not only brush, but floss and rinse with an antiseptic mouthwash.

Glad you are doing better. Back when I had mine removed the protocol was to do two on one side, wait a couple weeks then do two on the other side. It is over so go and enjoy the summer!

I had 3 wisdom teeth pulled at about your age. They didn't have that cool ice pack back then, I got to hold 2 bags of ice on each side of my face. My mom & I got caught in a thunderstorm on the way home (1-1/2 hour drive), had to pull over because she couldn't see the road. I don't think I looked like I ate someone😂 although after getting a crown I looked like I'd gone a round or 2 with Rocky Balboa😢
Glad you made a full recovery and can eat again😊
