    battery 14Ah is too weak for a FAT 750 watts motor

      Appreciate you calling that out, good looking out, that would suck to have range anxiety and then get distracted and plucked by traffic

    It’s hard to get excited about a plain vanilla 48v hard tail after trying a powerful full suspension bike. Once you try a full suspension e bike, you will never buy a hard tail again. Lectric really should offer full suspension as old people in particular appreciate a smooth ride. I also can’t understand why they don’t have a working brake light on the bike, really important safety feature and costs almost nothing.
    This bike is competitive with the extra battery, great fork, and 100% legal with a 20mph throttle and 28mph cut off. Seems a bit small and uncomfortable for taller riders. I’m sure they will sell well as Lectric is a trusted brand.

      Yes, the 26x4 fat tire market is getting a little saturated at this point, you really need to have some special feature if you want to stand out.

      Lectric has horrible lighting. I bought a Fucare Scorpio for a play bike and am amazed by the lighting! Bright headlight. Bright taillight and a real brake light! Not rack mounted either. When I am following one of our Lectric XPremiums I cant even see the brake/tail light operating at all. So dim and it only blinks for brakes. Doesn't get brighter

    Thank you so much for your review, I’ve been searching all around CZcams for reviews that specifically speak on the seat to height ratio for shorter riders like myself 😭 and I couldn’t find any until yours,
    so thankyou again🙏🏾 this sealed the deal for me

    Nice video. Big fan here but I’m not buying a bike limited to 20 mph throttle. Next bike please.

  • @Hoggdoc1946
    @Hoggdoc1946 Před 3 měsíci +3

    Nice bike, but dealbreaker is the 20 mile an hour limit on throttle as well as throttle being controlled by the pedal assist levels.

      I wonder if putting the wheel size setting down will trick it into higher speeds. It worked on my ebike. Different make but the same principle

      @@1chickenpigdid it really make it faster verified on gps or did it just read faster on the speedo?

    • @1chickenpig
      @1chickenpig Před 3 měsíci

      @@tenncutt On GPS, as you may know once you change wheel size say from 26 to 20 the speedo reads incorrectly.
      Having the Speedo read incorrectly doesn't bother me though as I prefer to ride to the conditions and feel the ride.

    • @1chickenpig
      @1chickenpig Před 3 měsíci

      @@tenncutt it's only a 750 W and it was 27 mph throttle only & only 26 mph today when I had a short ride. I'm in the UK so our choice of ebikes is not that good.

    About the variance of the battery bar: With the M5 display at rest without the motor drawing power the bar shows the rough percentage of charge. However when the motor is drawing power it acts as a power used meter but in reverse. the more amperage the motor is pulling the less of the bar that shows. So under full acceleration in PAS 5 or climbing a hill the bar can show as low as 3 bars but that means it's drawing more current than if it were halfway or 1 bar down etc.

    Great review Citizen! What bikes have you reviewed that are faster but have a similar smooth acceleration respone as the xpeak? As a beginner I think the smoother response would give me a better feel of control.

  • @bassw1758
    @bassw1758 Před 3 měsíci +2

    The Nomad One is a similar bike, much better choice. I would steer clear of the Xpeak , the frame has a major design flaw, there are a couple CZcams videos out there, the frames flex like wet noodles under heavy load.

    😮Anarchists with clubs can ride skateboards at 20mph!
    Thugs on drugs can quick dash on you before you even "EVENTUALLY" reach 20mph!
    While some brands may mean well, don't fall for the traps of severely handicapped (software/hardware restricted) out-of-the-box, off-road back breaker Ebikes like this one. Save up and consider getting a REAL SURVIVAL Ebike, such as The King of Ebikes in its class--the 2024 Wired Freedom, and 2024 Wired Cruiser (step-through) at about $2,000. THEN add Bryan's Warp Speed Front Wheel drive with battery to make sure you have enough speed, torque and comfort to get you and those who God placed under your stewardship out of Harm's Way. Nice review Bryan and Mrs Bryan, keep up the good work. 👍

    There is an old bike park right there in the woods by the ball field next to the Nuese Trail. Look up Clayton Swim Club and you can access the trails from the parking lot.

    First I apologize for hijacking this subject! Couldn't find another way of asking you a question on the newly released "Lectric One": Have you had an opportunity to do a review on it yet? If so could you please provide a link? I highly value your reviews! Is there another way of sending you a message? Thanks

    Conisidering that 500 watts and 15.5mph is the fastest legal speed we can go, that bike would be fine for me, I think the US is luckily spoilt with choices, legal or non legal. (I obviously dont follow the max speed laws here)

    • @CitizenCycle925
      @CitizenCycle925  Před 3 měsíci

      any bike that has 1300w peak power is going to do good on moderate hills. if you live in the mountains or you are talking off road hills then i would get a mid drive or a dual motor ebike. those are the best hill climbers.

      Ancheer makes nice bikes, a couple of them are pretty fast too, they've come down to about 7 or 8 hundred. They're worth taking a look at. I have the Speedrid by Ancheer it's a powerhose it has a lot of torque, and will do 26mph if flat ground what's just the throttle.
