    I found a echo gas blower on the side of the road 20$ for carb kit and I can blow leaves for 3 hours on a single tank of gas… this blower is great if you have a tiny yard and tons of batteries… gas is the best

    • @tgltoday2717
      @tgltoday2717  Před rokem

      I definitely wouldn't recommend battery powered if you have a massive yard or do any substantial amount of blowing. However the average person who lives in town, I think battery powered is the way to go. I used to work for a land scaping company and I couldn't imagine not having gas blowers and weed eaters in that business.

    I have this blower and I thought it was really good, and there are a couple attachments you can buy to extent it to the ground , I can't wait I think it will make a big difference alot better for leaves it costs about 25.00 for both piece's.

      Sweet. I'll have to look into thise attachments. Yes I love this blower. I'm still impressed with the power for an 18v blower.

    The Kobalt 24V brushless is very similar and you can still get it with a bonus 2nd. 4AH lithium ion battery for one-fitty. The layout is very similar. Just a thought if one doesn’t have other Makita 18V stuff already.

    I have 2 Milwaukee’s, this is direct competitor to that. They are so close in power depending on the test this makita overpowers Milwaukee in certain cases. Weight wise this thing wins I have so many 5ah batteries I can run this forever

    • @tgltoday2717
      @tgltoday2717  Před 3 lety +1

      Thank you for the info on the Milwaukee. That makes me happy as a Makita guy lol Even though I will buy anything I can get a good deal on. I held the Milwaukee once and did think it was heavier. Again thank you for confirming. I honestly don't think you can go wrong with anything from either of the two brands.

    • @Juraj037
      @Juraj037 Před 3 lety

      @@tgltoday2717 Milwaukee is heavier, I will weigh both with 5ah to get exact comparison. I tried the makita blower 18v x2 and it felt too heavy for the power it was putting out compared to single battery Milwaukee. But the 18v, even though it may not beat Milwaukee in certain scenarios the light weigh of the tool beats it. I was just looking at the specs of the Xgt makita blower and they look really impressive. I will order one when I find it on sale. 565cfm and 143mph in turbo mode

    Hi I have the same blower and 5Ah batteries and was surprised as well, how quickly the battery runs out on the highest speed (I think your measurement of 10mins is about right). Luckily I had another battery in my pocket so I switched them and finished my work. The power is definitely high enough, but you pay for it with the runtime.

    • @tgltoday2717
      @tgltoday2717  Před 3 lety

      I really do love using it. I have a few 5ah's so its not a huge deal to me, but if a guy wanted to use this for his small lawn care company I could see that being a pretty big set back. I can't wait to see how the battery's do on the Makita weed eater I got.

      @@jiri-novotny-active I have the 18v XRU12. I bought it last fall so I really didn't get to use it much. So far I really like it but want to use it a little more before I do a review on it. I also have the Makita 18v chainsaw XCU06. That one I'm very impressed with what it does for what it is. I use it all the time. So much nicer then getting the gas one out. I will be posting a video on that one sometime this summer as well.

      I look forward to your reviews. The battery chainsaw is really intriguing. I was trimming my apple trees recently and didn't have any small trimmer or chainsaw so I had to take my electric Makita chainsaw on the ladder and really didn't feel safe because it is bigger and heavier and can't be operated by one hand. So the one handed chainsaw caught my attention. BTW my weed eater is called XUX02 in the US (I don't understand why the US models have different names from the outside world. It is pain to look for the US equivalent all the time).

      @@tgltoday2717 I think you would need a battery backpack for that purpose. It carries several batteries connected together and it has a short cord you plug in your tool. Such as the PDC01G6.
