Ya right! Wake up and cut with the hero worship. Sorry but it’s all about hype and calling attention to themselves. More people die from bee stings in an average year than firefighters killed on the job. Many other jobs have far higher death rates but never receive any accolade’s. The media decides who gets the spotlight and who doesn’t.

This young man, a fire-fighter recruit who stopped to help a member of his community paid for the parade with his blood, pain and death. He deserves respect.
Isn't it enough that he died? Isn't it enough that his family, friends, colleagues and community are grieving the loss?
I hope grief treats you gently and with more compassion and empathy when you experience it.
Go make hard hearted comments in more appropriate places.
Like when the driver who killed this young fire-fighter is caught.
Or when someone thinks it's fun to speed, drink drive or break the law in some way.
