Thank you for watching!
The ceremonial marching in unison, in full attire, is breathtaking & the music deepens the soul. I’m across the pond but DNA test results confirmed my Scottish heritage. Perhaps that’s why I am so mesmerized by this music & can’t get enough of videos like this. 🕊
DNA test results confirmed the English & Irish in me...but sadly, NO Scottish in me...still I love their culture & music!☺
@@robertallen6710I would love to get a DNA test someday. You see my family name is Shannon.
I love Both country's culture and traditions.
I hear you. I used to go to pipe and drum exhibitions in South eastern Ontario Canada. We had bands come up from the states even! It really was something.
@@brianbrooks8692 I bet it sure was-in person! 🎶🕊👏👏👏
Nothing like a Scottish Regiment in full regalia with the pipes ! Love it.
Nobody does it like we do in Great Britain 🇬🇧 ❤
I love the sound of a marching band. They are proud men 👏 .
Beautiful Scotland I hope to visit one day❤
We should be good at it as we've been doing it for so long!
@@ayutthayatrojan we are great 👍
You can be very proud! This kind of tradition is special ❤
You are so right.
Feumaidh tu do sgrìobhadh a leasachadh! Ann am briathran eile, a 'sgrìobhadh Beurla a ghabhas a thuigsinn!
I am an American but I thought this was simply wonderful and so glorious.
I love the pipes. My mum & Dad and aunt were all in the Prince of Wales pipe band. My mum was a pipe major, my aunt piped and dad played the drums with the twirling sticks.
Stunning as always .
Superb. Love the pipes and drums. And I’m English!🇬🇧
Grandeal lads. Duke Edward be so proud of you all cause i am too. T Findlay G , NZ
Great CADENCE,IN STEP WHOLE BATTALION!!!
You took the words right out of my mouth. I love that cadence. Never had that in the Canadian Artilliary.
Beautiful.
Sharp looking. Be proud Scotsmen.
What have we got left to be proud of? Have you seen what they've done to our country?
Very proud of the British military.
Just watch this perfect marching!!! Love it - and now thePipes again - going to cry!
Gives me goosebumps to watch this ancient tradition. Thank you so much.
Yes! It's very Beautiful! I used to live in Edinburgh!
@@miryambarnabas2424AGUS ? 'S e Albannach a th' annam agus tha mi a' fuireach ann an Glaschu agus chan eil e na iongnadh dhomh!
Love them or hate them no one can fault GB for this!!!..yes I know they are Scots...but hell! They are impresive!!
WOW 😍
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🇺🇸
Beautiful. It was a nice surprise to see that Edward ditched his phoney uniform for the occasion. If he’s not careful, people could start to like him.
There is no reason not to like him. The Duke of Edinburgh has behaved admirably in the time leading up to the death of the late queen and since the accession of King Charles.
An innis thu dhomh càite am faca tu Mgr Eideard anns a’ bhidio seo?
@@neilmcbeath954 He never was a popular guy. Must be quite a shock for him now. I actually quite like him. Looks the part, his marriage seems solid, smart wife, nice daughter and I suppose his son will turn out fine as well. Learned his lesson the hard way when he dropped out of the para’s and started that horrible production company.
You don’t have to be a high flyer to become a successful royal as Anne learned us.
The troops and band are, as per usual, magnificent. I wonder if wee Prince Edward had any idea the effort they put in........
Magnifique tradition
I wouldn't want to be the front man in a column.
Wouldn't mind it...I'm setting the pace and position and they've got no choice but to follow! 🧐☺
Io sono italiana, e ho molto piacere nel vedere come si onorano le tradizioni nel mondo
Brilliant. I know the guardsman wear bear skins, but what do the bagpipe musicians wear on their heads, they are longer and flowing. Magnificent. 😮
Ostrich feathers. They are feather bonnets.
Wow this is amazing! Can I ask how you find out about all these events? Is there a website? I live in Edinburgh but only seem to find about about stuff after it has happened lol
Ma tha thu a’ fuireach ann an Dùn Èideann bu chòir fios a bhith agad nach tachair na tachartasan seo ach aig amannan sònraichte!
@@jamielyallleathan And if you decide to reply to someone else's comment you should probably take the time to read it adequately! I am fully aware that these events happen on special occasions!!! Nevertheless I still want to ascertain how I would find out about these events in advance. If you don't know the answer to my question then don't bother answering with an irrelevant comment that has absolutely nothing to do with my initial question.
DearUK friends, tourism helps your economy. Ceremonies like this draw tourists.
❤❤❤
Meanwhile Public Services in Edinburgh continue to worsen .
You are telling the truth in your response to the post!
blame the local council for that...
Yep, the same down south, however we must always support our soldiers on every occasion.
Nach math leat bruidhinn mu thachartas far a bheil luchd-obrach a’ chompanaidh an làthair! Leis gu bheil na bootlickers oifigeil air dleasdanas gu bhith a’ toirt ionnsaigh ort! Bi faiceallach!
Pipes untuned
Eddie would be so happy (gay even?) to see this display of bare male knees.
Make the leprechaun king of England and see what happens 😊🎉
What a waste of money .......................could have spent it on potholes instead
They are working soldiers
council not responsible for this, thats the mod, so blame the council fot the potholes...
If the army didn't spend this money on ceremony, your potholes would most likely get worse. In times of relative peace, these activities help keep up soldiers' spirits, binding them with a sense of regimental identity. It is also possible to over-train soldiers in their primary roles, demoralizing them and lessening their preparedness. Pomp and pageantry also serves to help the local economy, bringing in tourists' money, improving the tax base that pays for the potholes in the roads. Losing one ceremony in one location would not see much of a change in the equation, but if all the UK were to cease all public events by the military (or worse, by the royal family), the economic loss would be somewhere between noticeable and painful.
UK fix up their potholes fast come to south africa and see their potholes they're becoming craters the pavements are just as bad so don't moan about a beautiful display of togetherness with fantastic music and it's definitely not a waste
I do not understand the worship of "so-called" Royalty
