- Hello, Lovelies! it’s Natalie welcome to today’s video where together we are gonna get it all done before Christmas! (Or if you’re watching this after the holiday I hope it gives you the motivation and encouragement you need to check off your to-do list and bring some peace into your life!)
I’m all about getting things done while balancing the to-do list with some fun and self care. So not only are we doing some cleaning, a major toys declutter with my kids, wrapping gifts and prepping and planning for the holiday but we’re also enjoying some down time with a little Christmas coffee recipe, making cookies, cooking a fun holiday themed dinner, hanging stockings and doing some decorating.
I love sharing our simplified lifestyle as well as all the comfy and warm things that make us feel at home. I’m all about keeping it real while sharing the beauty of life and being an uplifting and cozy spot in your subscription feed no matter what time of the year it is! I wish youtube was a thing when my kids were young. I was a stay at home mom and I would have loved this supportive community. You have all put words to what I felt as a stay at home mom. I functioned so much better with a clean and organized environment. I sometimes got teased by my kids and hubby but now I see how good it was for my mental health. I, like you, wanted to be able to enjoy the fun times with my kids (baking, projects etc.). The kitchen for SURE was a big one for me too. The first floor in general had to at least be organized for me to feel good .

My English Nan was only 4ft 10in., but she was always busy and in charge (even at our house). She always insisted cleaning before your company was foolish as "they're only going to muck it up". No, we weren't going to clean in advance, but after the event. She would entertain us with funny explanations as to how certain messes were made while we cleaned up. "Oh, that was Uncle George dancing with his cookies." Or "I watched your Dad hide that teacup on the mantle." I think I enjoy your videos so much because your love of family is nearly as fierce as my own. I am always happiest when my daughters and grandsons are telling stories about growing up and spending holidays at our house.Your children will have such lovely stories to share and carry in their hearts because of the love you put into caring for them every day. My favorite Christmas song is a bit unusual. It’s called “I’ll Be Brave for Christmas” and is such a wonderful song for military kids who are facing yet another Christmas with a parent deployed. It came out very shortly after my Dad retired from active duty, but whenever I listen, I’m brought back to all of those Christmases when I was little with him gone again.
Missed the live today! We found out we are pregnant last week so we had a midwife appointment this morning, but I’m watching now!!!!

Wow, I am really impressed that you can let go of the deep cleaning stress around the holidays. You are ahead of the game if you can realize and actually follow through with that while your kids are still young. It is so HARD to let go of that inner pressure to have everything perfect.

I needed this today Natalie!! I made a long list of cleaning tasks to do and it exhausted me just making it. I end up overdoing it and resenting my husband and daughter for “messing” up my hard work. It’s important to slow down and soak up the MEMORIES.
All my cleaning recently has left me exhausted, depleted and grouchy. I so resonated with that comment as well. I’m a stay at home mom and have decided to give myself a vacation from today - Sunday. All the vacuuming and mopping can wait😆

I just want to take a moment to thank you for your inspiring videos. You always put a new, much needed perspective on things that make me slow down a little. The holidays are my favorite time of year but I also get so stressed about everything being perfect and the house being clean to the max. But I'm learning that things dont always need to be perfect and that's it's good to slow down and enjoy family more. And you remind me of that and its always refreshing.

My kitchen and Master bedroom being clean always keeps me motivated to keep the rest of the house clean. I do bite size cleaning. A tidy in every room before bedtime. Love waking up to a clean home. I also de cluttered every room. Makes it so much easier to clean up. Less stuff means less mess. Love your videos.

Great video. I love when you bring us through your day. Your kids are so sweet and I love your soft caring voice. I have always done each kid (I have 3) in their own wrapping paper, just as a little cute thing. Also their outfits are so cute that you picked out for them. We have always done matching sweaters or a theme for our family. Im trying to make the best of things this year, but I feel so bad for the people that don't get to see their family. Here in England approx half the country are in full lockdown and the rest can mix (up to 3 families) just for christmas day. Then it looks like we'll all be in lockdown again for January.
