- TVS Apache RTR 200 4V BS6 Mileage test results show it is better than the previous bike.
TVS Apache RTR 200 4V BS6 launch took place in late-2019.
TVS Apache RTR 200 4V BS6 price was recently revised to Rs 1.27 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
TVS Apache RTR 200 4V BS6 engine performance is almost the same and drop isn’t a problem in daily runabout scenarios.
The TVS Apache RTR 200 4V has been the flagship naked offering from the company. The Apache RTR 200 4V received its BS6 updates late last year. The price of the bike was bumped up recently, as the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V BS6 is now priced at Rs 1.27 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The new price is around Rs 13,000 more than the outgoing BS4 carb version of the Apache RTR 200 4V. For the additional moolah, you are now getting a cleaner engine, fuel-injection, some new nifty features, a LED headlight and optional grippier tyres.
Powering the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V is the same old 197.75cc single-cylinder motor that has been heavily reworked to meet the BS6 emission norms. It is now fuel injected, with what TVS claims to be a better tune than the older fuel injected model that was on sale for a brief period. As a result, fuel efficiency has improved significantly. Engine performance has taken a bit of a hit with the motor now putting out 20.5PS and 16.8Nm, power might be the same as before but torque is now down by 1.3Nm. How much has that affected the performance? The answer is in the video.

The Apache RTR 200 4V was always a very fuel efficient motorcycle. It packs loads of mid-range torque which is crucial in daily runabout situations. The gear shifts are slick and the ratios themselves allow you to ride at moderate city speeds in taller gears very efficiently. Plus, this new bike gets fuel injection and reduced friction coating inside the cylinder and gearbox, making sure that the engine burns fossils more efficiently. And hence we got a higher fuel efficiency number than before, 50.7kmpl to be precise.
In city? Ikd what are you guys smoking 😂
What about pulsar 200ns bs6 a video is needed
I don't buy those consumption figures...

In love with Apache 200 4V BS6! ❤️
Experience of my RTR 200 BS-IV :
1- I'm getting a mileage of around 40-42kmpl In city and highway. ( it always depends on how you ride)
2- Side stand of BS-IV is super slanting, if not kept properly , a little load can make it fall.
3- This bike is never made for touring, but due to its displacement we can. But it's not a triple digit tourer. Keep it around 70-80kmph and you will get decent tank range and also less vibration.
4- Vibration is present when you rev it hard or cross 70kmph.
5- If you respect your bike and ride it decently, then automatically it will give you better performance.

My bike has no vibrations till 100

The tvs apache rtr2004v bs6 looks superb. The design looks great, its feature loaded , good performance and better fuel efficient as well. Its money well spent compared to the bs4 bike.
they have been doing jugaad for 15 years, original apache had 147.5 cc engine same as suzuki fiero, then they increased bore size to 159.7 cc and called it apache 160, then they increased bore size to 177.4 cc and called it apache 180, then they increased bore size to 197.5 cc and called it apache 200, now they will increase bore size to 220 for zeppelin this is next level TVS jugaad, the only apache bike which has my respect is the RR310, the truth is that they took entire bmw technology and gave it a new skin but it is way better than RTR outdated fraud.
What do you mean good performance, it's torque is 16.8 nm that's lower than hero 200cc bikes, this bike is a fraud.
@@lazyres2 Arey bhai yhann bhi Personal Dushmani hai kya TVS se 😂😂😂😂.
@@sumitbainola bhai mereko RR310 aur ntorq bohot pasand hai, RR310 amazing bike hai aur ntorq best 125 cc scooter hai, tvs se kohi dushmani nahi, lekin socho kyu 6th gear nahi dete bhadwe tvs apache me. 😂
@@lazyres2 I guess you haven't used the motorcycle..I have been using rtr 200 for more than 2½ years.Aside from the fact that it has issues with chain sprocket and the neutral switch..it has been great for me.And i bought this for just 1 lakh 5 thousand..I consider it as a bargain.
And you're saying increasing bore size is all that tvs did for rtr editions over the years..Being a bit blatantly biased aren't we?😁
@@lazyres2 For your information, Yamaha uses the 80's era XT 250 engine , in FZ 25 which is time tested and reliable.
Now I love my bs4 head unit ♥️🤣
@Raj Bobby it does above 7k rpm
Cool video. Proud RTR 200 bs6 owner here in the same colour. Phenomenal motorcycle for the price it comes in. Dual channel ABS, slipper clutch, full led light setup, butter smooth engine and useful power and torque in the low and mid range, great handling without compromising on suspension softness i.e., ride quality, kyb suspension, 130 section radial rear tyre, GTT and Bluetooth connectivity. TVS has thrown pretty much everything but the kitchen sink at it.
TVS forgot to throw in a 6th gear.
@@lazyres2 dude seriously what's ur problem u r filled with hate

Those who are blaming for the design of headlight, must not be aware of the TVS Draken displayed at the Auto Expo India 6 yrs ago.

Hey can we retrofit a BS4 head light on to the BS6 bike. Not a big fan of BS6 headlights.
Which bike should I purchase Apache 200 v4 or meteor 350
Is it a beginner friendly bike for a college students first bike with a few weeks of learning to ride a bike.
@Jehan Adil Darukhanawala so does the R15 make more sense for a beginner or should I go for something else
Hey @zigwheels can you do the same city ride review of Yamaha Mt-15 bs6 ??
Headlamp looks like a gamebike
Even Though I own BS4 NS200 but I woupd say RTR 200 is better in 8 points out of 10!!
Wakanda forever and RTR 200 Black is also homologous to Black panther 🖤🏍
4 or 3 years back this bike use to cost 1.12 lakh on road hyd. It's sad to see bikes & cars getting expensive year by year.😞
If you go to bs6, fi and dual channel abs etc then yes the costs will go high
If 200 is giving nearly mileage of 50kmpl, then what about 160 4v dude ?? 60 kmpl kya ?
Ya lol rtr 200 bs4 gives 35 and bs6 gives 40
my bs4 gives 34 in city and 39 max on highway
I own the bs6 200. I am getting around 38 to 40 kmpl in city conditions.
@@Dadafan66 great... highway?
@@rtrrider7960 slight improvement at 42 kmpl. The bike is tuned for low to mid range power and torque for great riding in the city, so not a significant improvement on the highway in terms of efficiency.
Bro, ur round neck T-Shirt completely diverted the good review u did!! Look at Karthikeyan's dress sense during reviews!
Sometimes, u urself will get carried away with the dress u r wearing during reviews! Hope u will take care this aspect!!
By the way, good review! 👍
the overall package of this bike is good. I really liked it. But a Major deal-breaker for me is the bike not having the 6th gear. For someone like me who loves to do long distances as n when i get a chance, this is a big let down. So the new NS200 which has 6 gears the next best choice??? Not really. That bike still sports the same digital-analog console that it was launched with. Which was 8 years ago.
I recommend you watch the videos of Sportztourer on CZcams. He is a sensible human being and tours on his RTR 200.
they have been doing jugaad for 15 years, original apache had 147.5 cc engine same as suzuki fiero, then they increased bore size to 159.7 cc and called it apache 160, then they increased bore size to 177.4 cc and called it apache 180, then they increased bore size to 197.5 cc and called it apache 200, now they will increase bore size to 220 for zeppelin this is next level TVS jugaad, the only apache bike which has my respect is the RR310, the truth is that they took entire bmw technology and gave it a new skin but it is way better than RTR outdated fraud.
You should check out Dominar 250 or 400 for touring capabilities, or the Duke 200.
@@Dadafan66 thank you very much for the recommendation. Will surely check his channel. But i would like to add that even i have been touring on my FZ16 (150cc). I know the drawbacks of not having that 6th gear. no doubt it is possible but it can be far better to have the 6th gear than any of the fancy stuff like the bluetooth.
@@lazyres2 hahaha, you know the Genesis of Apache series. Yes. They took that 150cc Fiero Engine and experimented with it like Bajaj. And the 1st 2 series of Apache including the 160 were terrible. Lot of vibration. The reason i ended up buying FZ16. And yes, the 310RR is mind blowing bike. It just doesnt feel like its come from same people who made the above mentioned bikes. I wish they bring out the naked version of 310RR. And no, i am not talking about the over-priced BMW bike. i want one with TVS badge.
@@JayanandSupali you're very knowledgeable about bikes, you have my respect, thank you for taking the time to listen, I believe RTR 300 will see the light of day in the future, Google dranken concept, I see promise in this bike.
Bajaj is way better when you consider their history, they hired Glynn Kerr to design the older pulsars and Edgar Heinrich designed the ns200, both worked for bmw and the latter still is having designed the S1000rr, without Bajaj ktm could not become a global brand, I don't say this, the CEO of KTM says this, m.economictimes.com/opinion/interviews/alliance-with-bajaj-auto-was-key-for-us-says-stefan-pierer-ceo-ktm/articleshow/42140184.cms
This glide through traffic is also on the dominar 400 2017 model. It's not named a feature. But if u disengage the clutch slowly it will moove ahead with a pillion even on a minor climb due to sheer amount of torque
Bro every bike will move if you release the clutch, the dominar moves significantly a higher distance because it has a higher displacement engine.
The gtt is for the lower displacement motorcycles.
50 kmpl in city???🥴
Konse saste nashe karta hai bhai?🤦🏻♂️
😂😂😂
Yes a it is a bit exaggerated. I am getting around 38 to 40 kmpl.
@@Dadafan66 bro...with pinion or without??
@@mallikarjun412 There will be a slight drop with a pillion. But, if you make sure to keep the recommended air pressure at 32 for the rear wheel, you won't feel it.
😂😂Paid review since only con of this bike is mileage and 6th gear. Dominor 250 gives 35 plus so might be asked to say 60 😄

Finallyyyyyy.... was waiting for it for a long time!! :)
this is weird. my bs4 Ntorq went to 107 kmph at its struggle point and i see the same on this rtr 200 so whats the point. ntorq is far more refined and can cruise along at 80 and its the smoothest feeling after i drove my 110 victor which started buzzing from 70. i went to showroom to buy 200 or 160 rtr but then bought Ntorq becouse it sounded better and the feeling is just better with more practicality. as well as its got charge port in boot which makes up a lot more sense to buy than this bike to my usecase.
Please..make a review on ns 200bs6 like this.🙏
Pls make a video on duke 200 vs 2004v bs6
Please make a video tvs apache rtr 160 4v bs6
Guys let me tell you NS200 has bigger Bore size 72mm and rtr200 4v bore is 66mm , so NS200 makes more power and consumes more fuel than Rtr200!
Depends on how you ride, this video mentioned how highway mileage of RTR is worse than city, but mileage of NS is better on highway because of 6th gear. In other words NS consumes less fuel on highway than RTR.
@@lazyres2 ns200 doesn't give more than 35 on highway too
@@nitin9837560 are you stupid? Give proof?
Please do a detailed mileage test for this bike because it is simply not believable that this bike can give 50 kmpl. It is just too good to be true...
Although i can say that previous headlight design was better(personal pref.) but for all those who thinks it should have a 6th gear, they just cant get the point that without fairing, going above 80 will throw much of windblast, doing long so you will feel much exhausted & eventually disliking this bike.It was much evident that bike is made purely for urban jungles to enjoy much better OVERTAKES.GTT in this bike also proves that bike is made for city.R15 have fairing & that 6th gear in that will cope up to 150km/hr but ns200 or dukes with extreme power but no fairings are actually just made for city driving, giving 6th gear in them is just a curse actually.RCs with fairing will justify the 6th gear..& thats why bullets have just 5 gear even with 350cc engines or more just because of no fairing. This is the strategy behind TVS,for which they are not providing 6th gear from start, despite gr8 demand.
They are focussing on quality & user experience that's why BMW choose them for partnership, unlike ktm which chooses bajaj.
Everyone (also brand) has their own level of mind & that makes strategies & ultimately success.Hope your next review will reflect such points into consideration & provide a great video
As always good vdo.Signing off.Thanks
Awaiting comparo of pulsar ns200 and Apache 200
Hi, great video. I have a few questions to you and others. I currently own same BS3 model and bought when it came out in 2016, its a curburator, non abs variant. I have done only 16.5K in 4 years with regular good maintenance
1. The wheels lock up all the time like under even a slight hard breaking. Breaking is very average- How is the breaking performance and does the wheels lock up under harsh braking
2. The gearbox has become haywire now. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, N gear shifts the display misread all the time- Is there any such problem here.
3. The fuel indicator always show one bar less even if it is fully filled- Is there any such case here
4. While riding i dont feel the bike is stable. I have to be very careful to keep it steady- How is the stability and control in this bike
5. The stock ramora tires offers very less grip- how is the grip from these tires on the stock bike
I am considering to exchange and buy this BS6 model. Should I go for it or look to a different 200/250CC bike?
Already me owned......Brilliant machine . i go 100kmp I don't have vibration.. and pick-up very well......
Is that headlight really bad??
Good t shirt and awesome review but mileage is wrong .
