    I have used very similar stuff and it works on all surfaces. Just wet the vehicle and mist a little bit on and rinse it off. It is like magic how it suddenly goes from staying wet to just repelling the water. Yes, there are similar products to these and they all work really well. I have stopped using wax. No need for wax any more. I have a self full of different waxes I no longer use or feel that I need any more. Just get something like wetcoat and you can easily maintain the protection. I like that these things can be used on glass. They have an effect very similar to that of Rain-X that I used to use. I am sure many of us used products similar to that one.

    I used Gyeon CanCoat on my rims, wasn't in the best shape so I had to polish it also.
    But protected it with CanCoat and they still beads since 6 months/6000kms. Gets clean quite easily, just some regular degreaser (not strong), then snow foam (a bit strong) and use detailbrush for extra power.
    During the CanCoat, the rim popped quite out with the color and shine, just love it.
    Tradiontal wax or other spray coats on rims lasts 2months maximum, while this still beads and shines like if it was detailed since day one.
    For the car I'm going to apply CanCoat on top of Gyeon One soon, for winter season. Will be intresting to see how it works out.

      I just ordered Wet Coat and I know it will be great. I used a well known competitor's product and had really good results with it too. Gyeon Wet Coat seems like it would be even better. I only ordered the small bottle (500 ML) to get me started. I realize that a micro fiber cloth can help get better coverage. Of course don't let it sit any longer than it takes to apply it. Let it sit too long and it may stain! I know that things like this are difficult to clean off when they stain too.

    Hi Yves , was wondering if you can use a suede cloth as a secondary towel ( final wipe) too ? Since they use these to wipe down the stronger coatings I assume this should work ? I use bald wipe to apply and spread. Would it be possible to use a regular carnauba wax on top too after a couple of weeks ?

    • @GYEON_official

      Hi, a secondary towel is not the final wipe if you ask me. But as your last towel a big suede is what I always have been teaching. A secure final wipe.
      After a couple of weeks a carnauba wax doesn’t make much sense. Rather do it after 12h before the car goes out. Gyeon Wax is absolutely no issue at all and performs fantastic.

    • @GYEON_official
      @GYEON_official  Před 2 lety +2

      All true ceramic coatings need a drying period and have a curing time. To prevent issues and have maximum performance it is advisable to keep the car dry the first 12h. That is a minimum, the longer, the better actually. But in warm climates with almost no rain it’s no problem to go out earlier.

      I have Opti-Coat Pro+ on one of my cars and I would like to use CanCoat as a durable sacrificial layer, but I have two questions:
      1) I know the car has to be decontaminated prior to being coated and has to be kept indoor after coating. But what will actually happen if there is some contamination or prior protection (like bathe+\WetCoat) left on the paint or if an emergency comes up and you have to drive the car through heavy rain right after coating.
      Is it just the durability that will be affected or can it cause damage ?
      2) Will any missed high spots or accidental overspray cause permanent damage or will it just wear off within 6-12 months with the rest of the CanCoat layer ?
      I will be careful, but shit happens and I just want to be ready for worst case scenarios 😅

      Can i reuse these 2 applicators for another car if i wash them after the first car?

    • @GYEON_official
      @GYEON_official  Před 2 lety +2

      No, I would not do that at all. Coating will harden up in the fibres and the last thing you want is a hard applicator which might scratch your freshly polished paint.

    How long do i wait to wash the vehicle after applying? 🦁

    • @GYEON_official
      @GYEON_official  Před 2 lety +1

      Try not to wash it with strong chemicals in the first week. Depending your climate common sense is always good. After “sand rain”, rinse and if needed wash the car with out neutral shampoo Q2M Bathe and dry to avoid heavy waterspotting for example.

      @@GYEON_official ok, thanks for the reply. Can i apply a second layer of cancoat 1 week on after washing?

    • @GYEON_official
      @GYEON_official  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes you can but there is no need to do that. I’d rather put a layer of Q2Wax over it after 24h.

    Why would CanCoat be smeary on the windshield, but not on the other glass?

    • @GYEON_official
      @GYEON_official  Před rokem

      Because on the side glass you don’t have wipers that can smear it out.

      @@GYEON_official so if you were to install CanCoat on the windshield but let it fully cure before using the wipers, would there still be a principa potential issue with smearing?

    • @GYEON_official
      @GYEON_official  Před rokem

      Yes and not only smearing but also wear because it degrades differently when friction is applied on glass then Q²View or Q²QuickView. It’s chemically a totally different product.

      Thank you for your concern. I do wear gloves most of the time but we are all human and my main concern while filming is the correct explanation and usage for our viewers, rather then my own safety but I will try to be more cautious in the future.
