    I applied liberally to all windows and still had half a bottle. left. the coating was wiped to prepped glass on a new vehicle and cis on its 8th month still working wonderfully. I coated another vehicles glass with the remainder so I I would recommend applying 1 layer to 2 vehicles and c double your $ profit so you can repurchase the glass coating kit again and again when you have a customer who would like to purchase the service. you can definately apply more than one coat to a car but it isn't at all mandatory that you do so as a little goes a long way. more importantly is the prep on the glass for the best bond. good luck everyone. thanks for the great video. good luck

    I found at the Cleanse stage that it always dries to a residue very quickly even in overcast cool conditions, meaning I feel the need to apply more than I perhaps should. I also apply over the top and I'm worried by brushing some of the dried layer away, I'm reducing the effectiveness of the clean/polish stage. Should I be worried about the Cleanse stage drying really fast?
    Also, how much force should you need to apply when removing the final Repel layers once it's dried? I've found that I've needed to apply more pressure than I anticipated, both times I've applied this product on my car. First time around, I wasn't able to get as good a result as a professional detailer achieved with the same product, though I expect they applied several layers when I only applied about one and a half, I wanted to keep enough to also do my side windows and mirrors so I was a bit conservative.
    For the Repel stage, should some haze be left after you've wiped the excess, or should the glass be wiped until it appears crystal clear with no residue or 'blemishing' at all?
    Cheers!

    Very handy, purchased Q2 View a few weeks back and waiting to apply it. Just one question, as you are working on what looks like a fairly new car, most people will have used ones: Do you not wash the car and use a glass cleaner before claying? Also, how heavy is the Cleanse compound? As my windshield has some very tiny imperfections and scratches due to stones and everything that hits a windshield in normal life, I consider using a dedicated glass polish like the one from Sonax before using application of Q2 View. Does that make sense or is it unnecessary as Cleanse will already be enough?

    • @GYEON_official
      @GYEON_official  Před 3 lety +1

      The glass surface must be definitely clean of any dirt or oil as mentioned in our previous video in the series.
      Deep scratches in glass will not be removed by Q²M Cleanse. If you plan to use dedicated glass polish, do it before Q²M Cleanse 👍🏻

      It depends on many things but what’s really important is to do a good window preparation which includes a machine polish to remove all build up. Degrease thoroughly and wait 15-20 min before you start coating. Make sure you have an even coating application and in most cases it should work out fine.

      When you apply a coating for not having to use your wipers and you do frequently then wearing will happen due to friction. In some cases the wiper blades are old, in other cases the windshield is worn. I haven’t had these issues!

      Sadly you are wrong in this judgement. The product has been designed to build up on the windscreen and 2 layers are a minimum. I'd say, 3 would be absolutely best. Initial performance between 1 and 3 layers won't be much different, but a 1 layer installation will have a pretty rapid drop in performance (5-8kkm), where properly installed 3 layers can endure as much as 40kkm ans still remain fully functional...

      Why the heck would you QUESTION a manufacturer of a product telling you the exact way you need to prepare and apply the product. Who would know better how to apply the product than the person who actually invented it! GYEON isn't the only company who says multiple layers are needed for glass coatings to work with some sort of durability. Secondly, once the bottle is open, you should use up the product anyway which is exactly what Yves says here. Two layers at least, but three is better for durability. Gyeon makes some of the best products for vehicle detailing on the planet. Everything they make works exactly as it says it does. I give kudo's to Yves because he loves to explain exactly how to PROPERLY use Gyeon products to get the most out of them. That says a lot about a company and their credibility. Some companies just put out product after product, rebrand or rename the same products and put them in a different bottle. GYEON supports and more importantly BACKS UP everything they put out with a guarantee and all the technical support you could ever want.
