- Mexican cuisine can be both delicious and spicy, but in this recipe I am going to teach you one of the sweet sides in the Mexican menu. Flan clearly fits the bill as a dessert and though its origins are not Mexican it has been adopted and made a favorite. It's flavors and texture make it a unique dessert that you will not be able to resist.

*Villa Cocina* Love from planet Mars
I always use the blender, adding the egg first . I like to add cream cheese .
LOVE your recipes and have already made a few of them myself (the roasted salsa is now something I will be making from now on!), but one thing I can't find searching your videos is nopales? Hope to see something featuring them soon!
Im glad you are enjoying the recipes. I haven't uploaded a recipe on nopales yet but thanks for the great suggestion.
My tip to stop the sugar from crystallizing is to mix the sugar and water in a micro proof bowl and microwave 30 seconds at a time and stir until there are no sugar crystals, then I pour it into the pan to make the caramel. Learned this after 3 straight batches crystallized on me due to the sugar crystals on the side of the pan.
Yo soy gringo, pero me gusta flan mucho. :D
Philippines loves leche flan it's also our dessert
Truly amazing! greetings
@@VillaCocina ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hi so after u keep it overnight, the next day how to be sure the caramel is melted cause it might be cold from the fridge i heard from other chanel to make a new water bath to melt the caramel not in the oven ofc ,what do u suggest ?hurry i made my flan and it resting overnight and im not sure about the next step lol
Hi Rosanna. What size pan did you use? Thanks
You can find all details in the description if you need more information. This was 9'' round tall mold.
Hello! Making this recipe for the second time. First time was delicious! Do you see the water bath time to vary? I put a thermometer in my oven, 300° on the dot. It’s taking 1.5 - 2 hours to “giggle.”
Hi there! You are doing great by letting it bake until it giggles. Time can vary with each oven. Out of curiousity are you adding Hot water to your waterbath?
@@VillaCocina the water bath water was warm. I did notice your water was steaming, much hotter than mine. Next time I will boil some water for the water bath. I just took it out of the fridge from resting overnight. Flan for breakfast?!? ;)
Soooo..... GOOD.........!!!! (I love U) :)
🙌❤
I'm trying to make this flan today, how do I know when its done since you can see it because is covered and not all ovens are the same? Help, thank you.
You can peek to check on it by slightly lifting the aluminum foil and if not done, cover it again and continue baking.
What is the size of the pan
🙋♂️
Are you absolutely sure about temp n time? Most recipes call for 350° for 1 hr 15 to 20 mins?
🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️
Awesome!!
Why isn't the flan done? I preheated the oven to 300° F and baked it for an hour and it's still very much not done... I don't know what I did wrong.
Wow very good 👏 this looks so delicious 😍 igive you like 👍 and Subscribed 🔔🙏 thank you 🌺 welcome 🌺
Great recipe. However, this is not how you unmold a flan. A towel soaked in hot water and placed on top of the reversed mold for a few minutes will release it onto the plate.
I always look for the jiggle.
Yes 😊
I followed this recipe and failed. Not enough details to do this fool proof. It is the first time that I am failing in making a pudding
