I also still remember how he collapsed after the lost UCL final in 07/08. The Chelsea players were lined up and when van der Saar saved Anelka's penalty.
If I see players shooting penalties today, I only have to think of how Ballack used to take penalties. He nailed them under the crossbar, with a 130 km/h instep kick. The keepers just had no possible chance to keep the ball.

I think this is all just a consequence of Bayern's own pride and demands for nothing but absolute perfection. The decision to sack Nagelsmann, was unnecessary. He was unbeaten in the UCL and played great football, however they were 2nd in the league and the board saw it as an opportunity to hastily sack him and hire a newly available Champions league winning coach in Tuchel. While Tuchel is a great coach I don't think he fits the style of Bayern Munich, however I don't think he is the main problem. I believe that the real overarching problem with Bayern is that for the first in over a decade, the club is truly rattled. This isn't the no nonsense Bayern we have come to know, and the players are aware of it too. To add on to all of that pressure they have finally found a real challenger for the Bundesliga, one they haven't encountered in a while. I believe that simply put, the club is shaken up, and they need to regain that lethal composure that makes Bayern Bayern in order for them to go right back to the top of Germany and Europe.

I can see why Naglesmann rubbed a few players the wrong way. That said, he's a young manager who still hasn't worked all the kinks out nor has managed at a level where his kinks no longer matter.
Bayern knew this when they hired him but instead of allowing him to grow along with his own team he was undercut by upper management every single time there was an issue between himself and a veteran player.
Those same veterans who didn't like playing under Naglesmann are now vastly underperforming under Teuchel. Management created a monster by not supporting their head coach.

People don't get it right. As a German Bayernfan I can assure you - Thomas Tuchel is the MAIN problem, but not the only one. Half our pool nts this season we're pure luck. Tuchel plays a system that fits not a single player on the pitch. Müller, De Ligt, Tel.. Well performing players are left out of the starting11 constantly and Tuchel obviously does not care about the players he has.
But the team also is burned out and completely broken apart. Tuchel is the problem that needs to be solved, but the team also needs to be absolutely mixed up in the summer!

You do realize how many injuries bayern got? Almost all within unlucky moments in games.
De ligt, upa, Laimer, guerreiro, coman, gnabry...
Then the unfortunate stanisic, pavard thing.
What Tuchel maybe didnt do too well was adapting a little better to His not good cadre.
BUT you cannot install de ligt if hes injured. Central mids are all offensive and not strong in defense forcing an over reliance and the center backs from which 2 were not even available all the time.
A Kimmich thats too busy thinking about himself but the team. Davies who is halfway done with bayern and these major fuck ups on the transfer market (e.g. palinha etc.)
I also wonder how adaptable are these players really? People say play with Tel, play with müller, re build Kimmich etc.
But this squad is not the same anymore. Müller is what 34 ? He cant be relied on to carry bayern. Also musiala is on his spot too.
Even if tuchel wanted to incorperate kane better etc. i dont think the squad is flexible enough.

True. But a great coach accepts when his matchplan has failed and adapts to the opponents clearly superior setup, which Tuchel didn't (or at least did too late). After 20 minutes it was pretty obvious that Alonso outcoached him, with one Leverkusen player was "happy when we saw the starting 11. It meant they feared us".

Fan from Bochum here, great video and sound analysis bro. I'm still smiling nonstop from this incredibly hard-faught victory.
Even with everyone rightfully criticizing Bayern right now, I find it somewhat baffling how unfamiliar Bayern-fans and personnel are with the feeling of losing, to the point that three losses are THAT much of a crisis. They now might get to experience the feeling of being a real football fan with peaks and valleys throughout seasons.
Finally I agree with you that Tuchel doesn't do himself many favors in his interviews. I always appreciate an emotional coach, but the way he basically said 'If we played this match 10 more times, we'd win 10 times.' and 'it was just murphy's law, everything that could've gone against us, went against us.', going on to say Upamecanos elbow wasn't a penalty, talking about xG... from a Bochum-fan's perspective, it came across very unlikable and conceited to not be given any credit by him for the incredible fight Bochum put up.

I’ve been a Bayern fan since 2003 and I can easily say this is the most misguided I’ve seen my club in all my years supporting them. Much like Jose, Tuchel is a great short term manager that can get results, but over the course of the second season, things tend to fall apart. Tuchel’s footballing vision has never been in line with Bayern’s due to philosophies. This dilemma, rather a downfall, actually started back in 2020. When Bayern’s hierarchy sat back and let then sextuple winning Hansi Flick and then sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic go to war over transfers. That was the first of the dominoes began to fall. Hansi’s request were nowhere near that of Tuchel, but the board shut him down and out every single time. Tuchel has always been “my way or no way”, and ever since joining Bayern it’s more evident. He keeps reverting back to U shape formations in attack and doesn’t bring much innovation to in game situations. To then further keep putting established players under the bus for his own shortcomings isn’t the Bayern way of doing things. Sure the players haven’t been up to par either, but the coach is the one who picks the team and he puts his own pride over what’s objectively best for the team. Nagelsmann maybe tinkered too much in moments, but with Tuchel, he most definitely tinkers too little. The longer Tuchel stays in the job, the further Bayern gets to the point of beyond repair. The club has supported him in the transfer market more than any of our coaches in recent history and yet he still puts his interests first. I’ll always give managers time, but the difference this year has made is completely disgraceful. 100% Tuchel out

@1237barca I totally agree that Tuchel managed to win the UCL with a mediocre Chelsea team and when he was at Dortmund I was a fan of him. However something has definitely changed in him, whereby his last few games at Chelsea were some of the most drab football being played. We would have presumed him taking over Bayern Munich and getting the players he wanted would see him content. However his breakdown in relationships with Kimmich, De Ligt, and Goretzka shows that there is a problem with his personality.
When Raphael Honnegstein being informed by someone in Munich top brass that Tuchel has a personality problem, you have to accept that any Big club needing a manager would definitely think twice about hiring him.

My opinion, though, is that Julian's sudden sacking hit them hard. That, plus perhaps a missing number 6, is causing troubles on the field. However, given Julian's sacking, they are pros and should get over it if they are hangover. Bayern always seemed like a strange club for me. For a very big club, the players have always seemed to have too much power. Perhaps this was the first time when they realised that this just wouldn't be the case anymore after such a long time.

The only players I think have that kind of ambition are Kimmich and de Ligt and they're completely insecure at the moment and aren't performing.

In the first part, keep the history of the Barcelona club until his arrival, the heritage status. The third part is the same, only after his arrival. The next and the second video will mainly be about his performance as a player, managing the club as a manager and overall what happened to his contribution to the club. I would like to see a series like this.

In my view, it's a very similar situation to PSG in France: Bayern are so powerful and financially dominant that they've paradoxically... set themselves up for failure. Winning the league is not enough when you are this richer than your domestic rivals and able to poach their talent, so any time you're not top of the league it's like a disaster. For all of the issues with Nagelsmann and Tuchel both of them had collected a reasonable number of points in the league at the time when trouble erupted, but this is a team that simply can't accept 2nd place.
That's bad both for the league and for the club itself. The league becomes less competitive, there are more dead rubber fixtures and both PSG and Bayern end up struggling in Europe because they are used to playing meaningless domestic games.
The club's players enjoy way too much power. They've undermined every single manager that came after Guardiola - aside from Heynckes and Flick who were there a short time - simply for petty reasons such as "Pep was better" and "training sessions are not intense enough". Muller in particular is one who stinks up the place, but Sané and Kimmich look like they have a lot of negative influence too.
Bayern last season looked a lot like Juventus 2019-20: a team that won the league mostly through the mistakes of others while playing very poorly. 4 years of misery followed for Juventus, although I don't expect that to happen with Bayern in a league with such low competition.

The big role the lack of vision in team-management and its leaders can’t be overstated. existing leaders were sold and they missed building up a new generation when De Ligt, Tel or Sané are receiving such mixed signals from their manager and higher ups, talking about their form and not being played, plus current leaders like Kimmich are getting subbed/ underperforming and Muller not playing.
Tuchel’s tactics need a 6, and Kimmich has statistically a third of challenges in the defensive half compared to others, even compared to Pavlovic who’s also not getting playtime.

Nagelsmann deserves way more than apologies from the board. They should be ashamed of themselves for backing a coach that both over rotating a big team and give away the domestic cup to a team form the third division, and lack of match awareness that he did not realize that his 3-4-2-1 is getting overloaded in the midfield for 60 min and cannot build up the attack until that 2nd goal from Xabi's team. In that game the back 3 also were clearly confused on who to cover and where should they position themselves. Have they backed Nagelsmann over the issues with veteran players the same way they probably are now with Tuchel I believe Bayern would be in a better situation now.

As a Leverkusen fan for 21 long years, I actually can't believe our luck. Not only the best football in Europe, with one of the most baller teams, the biggest manager prospect maybe ever and Bayern are collapsing. Here's my two cents on that which is a more common take here in Germany. The Bayer squad is cooked. Ever since 2020, there have been players like Goretzka, Gnabry, Sané before this season, that have way too much influence, even if they are not performing. Also the last International Performances for all these German National team players, has really cooked them. IMO, Bayern not only needs to get rid of Tuchel, but also redesign big parts of their squad. I am so fucking happy tho, still can't believe we might win something this season❤️‍🔥❤️🖤

Going undefeated while winning the title is a much bigger accomplishment than setting the points total record. It is even a bigger accomplishment seeing that Leverkusen are doing it with a squad that has a total of 1.1 million Euros of weekly wages compared to 5.2 million Euros weekly wages for Munich. It is a much bigger upset than Leicester City (739k per week) winning the league over the biggest spender of MC (2.4 million per week) as Munich have a wage bill that is 4.7 times higher than Leverkusen vs when Leicester did it when MC only spent 3.4 times more. It is time to bring in a salary cap into football as well as doing away with these silly transfer fees. Do it like they do in American sports. Trade or sign when the contract is over/free agency…

Perception is an interesting thing. Yes I know we are talking about Bayern and they're used to being in top always, and yes you know, 27 shots and not much to show for that and all the rest. But then consider we are also talking about a club that is not in the relegation zone, not mid-table or even in danger of missing a UCL spot, but rather in second place in their league, pretty comfortably at that with a four point cushion. I am a BVB fan and we are quite a ways off the top or even second right now; the media doesn't have us in dire straits at least not like Bayern. We are left to just quietly find our way. For the record, I am excited for Leverkusen. I think it's great to see them come out of the blue and crush it.

In my opinion Tuchel has every reason to be angry with both his players and the management.
Kimmich and Goretzka definitely haven't been showing the quality necessary to compete with high level clubs and that was prior to Tuchel.
Tuchel immediately recognized that and demanded a holding 6 before the transfer window even started.
He received supplementary players at best.
He had to start with a smaller bench and aside from Kane no added quality.
However he still managed to make his team perform at least a little better until the winter break.
Afterwards most players simply couldn't perform at the top of their game.
Injuries, bad luck and the press certainly didn't help.
However Kimmich seems to be the player responsible for the bad mood in the team.
He never played worse than this year, his interviews and his mood on the pitch certainly speaks volumes and he resented Tuchel for pointing out that a holding 6 is missing - a position he falsely considers himself to be.
The quote from Tuchel may be fabricated but I wouldn't have blamed him for saying it because it true.

The seed of their downfall started in the 18/19 season when Kovac was in charge. Dortmund being the specialist of failure threw away the title and the following season Frankfurt smashed them 5-1 spelling the end of Kovac. Flick steady the ship and went on to secure the sextuple in 2020 and that same year Brazzo and Khan were part of the board. Brazzo and Khan screwed over Flick and Nagelsmann and they got rid of them. Bayern Munich barely retained the Bundesliga title thanks to Dortmund pissing it away and Brazzo and Khan got fired immediately after the final whistle went. Tuchel didn't cover himself in glory when he alienated half the squad and doesn't play the Bayern Munich way. Speaking of the squad player power became a thing when Ancelotti was in charge and it has gotten so worse that the senior players are too powerful that managers can't handle them. Bayern Munich needs a rebuild and it starts by firing Tuchel.

Nagelsmann got fired in the middle of a Champions League run just for Tuchel to last a season and a half 😂...life lol.
But memes and jokes aside, its just unfortunate the timing of it all. Coz Bayern have been having issues upstairs since even before either Nagelsmann or Tuchel were appointed. So they probably would have been in this same position with Nagelsmann since Xabi Alonso's Leverkusen is playing historically good but that whole short term boost they were going for with Tuchel didn't pan out. I think Bayern figured they could have done what Chelsea did and basically have a short term boost maybe win a trophy or two and then blow it all up. Similar to what happens with Conte teams.
Great watch as always and loved the nuance in the video. Coz Tuchel has been bad vibes for them but he'd have comfortably beat challengers from previous years, he just happens to be bringing bad vibes whilst up against a relentless Leverkusen.

(Not a Bayern fan) To summarise a few things:
Old player have too much power or players in general.
    A lot of injuries
    Leaks to media
Kimmich switching from right-back to center-mid was a short term success, but as we can see he is lacking in too many areas.
Goretzka is not playing the same anymore, but his playstyle could still work with a Nr.6 at his side.
Musialas playmaking skills are inconsistent and sometimes not there. Maybe as a playmaking winger he could use his dribbling skills more. We could see glimpses of that in last game.
Let Sane shoot. I know he can do the Robben and Ribery range shots, but it feels like he isn't allowed to do them.
De Ligt and Kim need to play togerher and get better together. I don't know what to do with Upamecano. It feels like he is lacking experience, but with Bayern you will be reminded for every mistake you made.
    Solutions (imo)
Sell or hold Davies, prefer to hold bc good Left-backs are rare and expensive
Get the leakers out, Bayern knows them, I'm pretty sure about that
New GK, new midfield consisting of at least a 6 and a playmaker.

The very first quote is something that was made up by the media, Tuchel and the press guy have emphaticly denied that something like that was ever said and Tuchel himself said that if a coach says something like that they would never return into the cabin. Depicting that line as something Tuchel said in your first picture of the video is very misleading.
Leverkusen also only will have the greatest Bundesliga season of all time if they win all but one of the remaining games and that game needs to be a draw in order to equalize the highest points a Bundesliga club has ever accumulated in a season. Of course you could argue if they do not lose any game it would be the greatest season, which might very well be the case.
Tuchel is certainly a major part of why Bayern have not been playing like they should recently. Tuchel has been undermining several key players of the club and Tuchel also has his favorites who always play and his "anti-favorites" who just don't play. He has made coaching errors several times and the team plays uninspired, they lack ideas when going forward. This is the biggest issue, the HOW. Yes, Leverkusen play amazingly and Bayern would usually be 1st place with the points they have right now, but the WAY they are playing is not good at all, which is a problem at Bayern. It's not enough to win, you need to win convincingly and with authority.
Another issue is that several players just aren't as good as they used to be and even someone like Kane has been missing a lot of chances that should have been goals.
The third issue for sure is a lot of bad luck regarding injuries combined with a not great summer transfer window. They were just trying to get Kane and forgot to get the defense sorted out. Pavard wanted to leave for a while, and yet they loaned Stanisic out to Leverkusen because Tuchel apparently saw no use for him. Pavard then left and the defense was stripped very thin. During the season all defenders were either injured or overplayed at some point, making it very difficult to have a proper starting backline.

I do not know what the whole issue is about. Bayern wins every year, this year they are a strong second and they call it a crisis.
I know you always want to win but if the management thinks that if they 'lose' once, they may lose next year and next year, it's weak mentality. If not, then why the whole talk.
Bayern can always buy Leverkusen's players at the end of the season like the typically do.
