    I purchased one of these 1 year ago right after seeing this review . Best bang for my buck in a long time , Could not get my original color and CR dept contacted me right away telling what other colors were available . Made my choice and got the unit in about 3 weeks , Local shops told me it would not last HA HA shame on them . To get the same features locally would have cost me at least double Again Shame on them . Upgraded small things like grips, seat and pedals but have over 2000 km's on it now . Used it winter and summer and have not had any issues at all and lots of fun , Enjoy folks .

      Same here, local shops and seller will try to say the worst thing about this bike and will sell you much worse ones with high price or try to convince you to but a 5-6 times more expensive "brand" model with low performance.

      You mentioned >500watts.
      Is this likely the case for all of the extremely similar models with different branding?
      I have an offer accepted on eBay for $1375.00 on a Sheng Milo Mx01. It claims to be 1000w 95nm which I find a stretch. Hub motor photo shows 1000w stamp on it. I'm guessing the controller is not up to the task of 1000w?
      Also Shimano Drive, XOD oil brakes. 12.8ah claimed battery.

    Do you think that the Merkava fat fold 500 ebike is almost the same one ?

    • @TechTronic9000
      @TechTronic9000  Před 3 lety

      No, it's not the same, not even similar. The Merkava has different gears, different controller and motor, less power, lesser top speed. The only advantage of the Merkava is the slightly bigger batter which combined with the lesser power will probably yield a longer running range.

  • @martyncoad6551
    @martyncoad6551 Před 2 lety

    Great review, I have one of these and love it. The shock absorber is also bent on mine so must have been the same on most of them at the time. One thing I have noticed is that you can still turn the bike on even when the key is out of the battery not sure if this is correct or not. I have a fiido m1 and you can't turn that on when the key is out or switched to off.

    • @TechTronic9000

    I understand that the Merkava is different in many different technical points but the geometry of the bike look so similar ...
    Do you think they took the same bike to make a different version ?

    • @TechTronic9000
      @TechTronic9000  Před 3 lety

      This frame geometry is highly popular so you can get it from a lot of producers. The big difference is in the equipment and used materials. The XT750 uses AL6061 air grade aluminum which is both light and resistant. Some other brand use steel and make it a lot more heavy.

      Fully charge battery, check screws, check brakes, check tire pressure. Take it easy at the beginning to accommodate with the size, weight and balance. Start with shorter trips. Always charge when you have the occasion and avoid discharging the battery too low, never empty it before recharge. When not using it for a long time let it around 60-70% and check it from time to time.

Original battery is somewhat designed to keep the bike at 25km/h not for 40+km/h unrestricted power. I'm planning a dual battery mod for higher drain, more instant power, less voltage sag.

If you want to go faster then you need a direct drive hub motor, that will make it do maybe 55km/h. If you want it even faster then you will need to increase voltage from 48V to at least 52V or even 60V, including a controller swap.
