- Omer Neutra, a Long Island native, is among the more than 100 people still held hostage by Hamas and other terrorist groups in Gaza, following the Oct. 7 attack on Israel.
Neutra's parents spoke with LiveNOW from FOX's Josh Breslow as their son has been in captivity for more than 200 days.
Israeli officials have also warned Hamas and a top Egyptian delegation that this is the "last chance" for the terror group to accept a deal to release those hostages before Israel launches its long-planned Rafah offensive.

Omer, nor any of the hostages who were serving in the IDF, were active in war. They were simply doing their two year mandatory training.

I feel very bad for this family and all the hostages and all the innocent people. But I can’t help but be a little annoyed that they are wanting help from the United States when he went and decided to serve in the military of a country besides ours. Maybe I shouldn’t be annoyed or have it rubbed me the wrong way, but it did. And who knows, maybe he was planning on enlisting in the USA military afterwards. No way to know.
