It certainly performs admirably. I think it’s just fine for light camp work including light fire prep. That’s a little beastie. I’ve been printing. I might ship to you next week. Gotta say it's impressive. I have only one knife in CRUWEAR, a Spyderco Manix 2XL. I've had it for 6 months now and not used it much, but still shaves my arm clean. Love your enthusiasm and love to see you test. Keep up the good work Erica. Thanks.

This once again has me wondering where the collective thought of no super steel is tough enough came from. The tin foil hat in me has to think it might be so they can still charge bananas prices for 420 and 1000 series "since that's all that will stand up to abuse"...

Some of the toughest steels that are suitable for knife blades are super steels such as CPM 3V or CPM CruWear, Vanadis 4 Extra, CPM 4V, K490 and CPM M4 also have a high level of toughness, and even K390 doesn't have to hide when it comes to toughness.
