I'm so happy these are available to buy. I have a similar set I made from the aluminum bolts of a cheap crossbow pistol, but the weight and flight pattern of these seem to be far superior. Can't wait to get a set and compare.

Great slingshot, looks like great fun.
I use a single band stick shooter, with the grip about 4" from the band attachment. It reduces the chances of a hand hit drastically and for me at least increases my confidence when shooting. It doesn't affect the accuracy or power, as far as I can make out. Watching you lads shoot so close to the hand makes me cringe, but hey, fair play to you. Good video, love the darts.
Single band in a stick is what the legends use.😉

i have 30 of these these are awesome!
And here I've been making them out of machine screws, wing nuts and those metal cone spikes you see on leather punk gear. Except I fray out paracord for the tail and use thinner paracord for a loop and shoot them with an archery release

They are pretty pricey but they look very nice. A lot better than the ones on ebay without flights, they need to get screw heads on them so you can attach different heads (eg broad heads). Good for game. Unless one hit you on the skull or temples though it would just make two blokes built like you guys angry and not very happy to deal with :) so definitely a no go for home defense . Great video. BTW your mate has a great set of melons. EDIT: End of the video the head does come seperate from shaft... so you could potentially place bladed heads (if weighted properly) they look great. Thanks.

In Indonesia , that darts for fishing, usually using tube not flatband , with TTF set up, put fishing wheel under frame , darts connect with fishing line, go checkout "paser ikan" means darts fish , just info , cheers ! 🍻

These look like a lot of fun, but to take down a bore you will need broad heads and a blood groove. Great video 👍
There's no such thing as a blood groove. What you're referring to is called a 'fuller' (blacksmithing terminology) which has nothing to do with blood and everything to do with lessening the weight of the blade. That is why knives and swords have them.

Ordered my first slingshot after binging your videos 😂 Im a bit confused, do different bands require different size ammo? And how come they have different sizes?
Different bands do better with heavy or lighter ammo.most times you need heavy ammo with hard bands.I have seen videos on CZcams that explain it better than I can.

I literally just got my first slingshot a couple days ago. What would happen if you got your fork with one of these??
@@CIintB3ASTW0oD Well for one if you grip your slingshot up by the forks in a pinch grip it could go through your finger and depending on the material your slingshot is made of it could permanently damage your slingshot to the point where it would be not usable or pieces of the dart and/or slingshot could ricochet back at you.

I can throw a dart 🎯 pretty good so im wondering whats the difference between throwing a dart and using the slingshot but I really like your slingshots on the thumbnail the blue and black one how can i get one like that im trying to get started with this hobby please let me know id really appreciate it sir!
I wonder if you could modify the arrows and frame a little to add a length of wound paracord inner strands or something for a little arrow fishing, tied half way down the shaft its going through all the way then will turn sideways when you pull back on the cord and snag a fish no problem, cant tell if they're strong enough for it. Maybe try experimenting with them you could make a badass survival kit with a catty and a load these inside

How do you set up bands from looking I cannot see pouch so at guess have you attached a ring instead of pouch? Obv I will watch whole video jus in case you explain etc

@@konz2891 kinda, made my own from old arrows I had lying around, I shoot them frameless and haven’t cut myself yet.
If they can that kind of penetration on 3/4 inch plywood what does that glove look like to protect your hand????
It's a double layer leather glove with small steel plates inside
I prefer not to use it because it is a bit bulky and I'm confident I can get the shot past my hand safely
@@CatapultCarnage you should shoot the dart at it to see what kind of penetration you get
The glove does offer some protection but the sheer sharpness of the dart can damage the glove and injure your hand. Not worth the money unless made of materials that will offer far superior protection. Try GZK pulley slingshot with a built in hand shield. Been shooting with this for a long time and never needed a glove. Damn thing shoots like a bow. I've pierced metal thicker than the glove with this stuff.

Firm melons lol, I prefer squishy melons with a bit of sag to them. With as many slingshots as I have lying around I'm gonna have to make a bunch of them darts.

Also if you're experienced shooters: use protective gloves always. In hunting the risk of injury it's high. If you don't belive it would happen to yourself, please trust me: I'm an experienced shooter but, After 5 years of constant target and hunting shooting, I seriously damage my left hand, with simple 7mm lead balls (I have the photos). Protect your hands and protect your eyes. Be careful. Always!
I believe I won't get hurt with my Saunders Falcon 2, There's a hand guard built in and high fork
@@LKH9Channel I know your slingshot: it's quite safe, my raccomandation was for other kind of catapults, similar to the one seen in the video.
