    You had to make them we use to buy the old black squire lastick in eather 1/4 or 3/16 then search for a good fork

    Thanks for this video. Of all the videos on slingshot aiming I’ve seen (and there are many) this is the only one to actually explain the effect that moving your anchor point has when it comes to hitting your target high or low. I look forward to using this information to correct my always having to aim below my target because I seem to hit high.

Knowing how to adjust for height means I can now aim at a target and hit a target, instead of aiming below it. Thanks, again, for a great video.

Very important point made ,is don't think you can just go out and get some dinner straight away. You need to be putting that ammo near, next to ,or through the same hole, every shot. • @Joefeslingshot
      @Joefeslingshot  Před 5 lety

      hi adrian thanks for watching, first measure your draw length tip of the frame back to your anchor point then divide that number by six
      so if your draw length is 30inch divide by six will make it 6 inch active band cut same with tubes
      mines 38 so roughly 7 inch active for me

    When shooting "over the top" is the reference point on the catapult the top corner ? Also, how do you adjust for elevation on a longer distance shot, is it just trial and error?

    • @jimmy66603
      @jimmy66603 Před 3 lety

      Yes. OTT is Top corner. You can alter the elevation in two ways. By using holdover like you would with an air rifle at longer range. But you lose your reference point on the target with that method. The best way to adjust your elevation is by raising or lowering your usual anchor point. EG: if you draw to the corner of your mouth and your shots are going high, raise your anchor point. Vice versa if you shooting low.

    Sir I like ur tips I use opposite of Gangster style of holding catapult but still I m not so good in aiming , I use a stone as amo. Can u help me out why steel amo people use for aiming . I m from India

    • @Joefeslingshot
      @Joefeslingshot  Před 5 lety

      Steel ammo gives a smoother flight path its a consistent ammo that weighs the same every time and is the same size and shape, the inconsistency and shape in stones or rocks will change the flight of your ammo making the shot harder to replicate consistently

    Bro I fire exactly same as you,?, hold in right arm ammo in the left,?, doesn't mean folk are right left handed at shooting,?.We see many that hold with left opposite to us,?, and are right but not left handed ,? Does not matter,? its just how we feel comfortable.

      Catapults have been around since 400 BC . Pistols haven't. Wannabee gangsters who hold there toy pistol 'gangsta style' learnt it from our ancestors who could shoot the ears off a rat at 20 metres with a slingshot. 😉
