Hi, I'm Ray from the UK. Love your channel! Found it by chance and have been watching all of your videos! On these boots, Acerbis is a very good brand and this boots will no doubt serve you well. I have been wearing Sidi Adventure Goretex(the first model) since 2015 and they have been incredible from day one. Even today, after 8 years and more than 40000 kilometres they are comfy, dry and protective. If I didn't know better, the Acerbis would be more than enough, the quality, protection and price are all excellent. For me though, when it comes to replace my Sidi Adventure, I'll get another pair of them. Thanks for your videos!
Hi Ray, thanks a lot for your feedback and for taking a look at my videos 😊 The Sidi adventure boots are great. Two of my friends here in Norway use them (version 2). They are very satisfied. I think it's hard to switch to another brand after using them. Glad to hear about your experience using them for such a long time. I do hope the Acerbis boots gets a bit more comfortable after using them a while 🤞 If not, I know what to upgrade to 😊
They certainly look good for the price you paid, and are an improvement on what you have been using so far.
Yes, it will be a great upgrade for me 😊Just have to wait for the snow to leave and for warmer weather so I can test them for real 😬
So what happen with the boots? I can’t find the second chapter
I have had this exact boot for two seasons now and I am more than happy with them! I broke a strap but they are found as spare parts so no problem, just replace it. I drive a xl1000 varadero and
I have been driving on tarmac and alot of gravel since I live in the countryside.
. I always stand up on gravel and the boots are just fine for that as well. I really dont have anything to say as for the negatives. Its a good buy and will make alot of rider more than happy
That sounds very good! I have not been able to use them much yet, but I will put them to the test next year 😊 I am very happy to hear that you are satisfied with them 👍 Thanks a lot for your comment 😊
Great review! It took me 2 months to break in a good pair of leather boots.
It may help to undo the straps for causal walking around.
Thanks for the tips! 👍 I hope they get a bit softer after using them for a while, but undoing the straps for walking around is probably smart to let in some fresh air as well 🥴
A new subscriber...
Im so glad that you explained everything about the boots😊
Definitely its a valuable experience..specially for a new bikers like me 🛵
Quite interesting Channel...i like it👌🏻💯
Greetings from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦 🌴💐
Thanks for subbing!!! Glad you found the review useful! So you are a new biker: Congrats!!!!! You are into adventure motorcycling?
Idk, i got the same boots ordered. Thing is that you cant do much adv on 82' Silverwing.
Hope it works out with Revit Sand 4 trousers.
Honda Silverwing is a great bike 🤩 but you might be right, not typically a bike for off-roading 😅 I did not go on any road trips last year, but planning for it this season. I will make a new review when I have used them a while
@@kihestadI do not know yet if its a great bike- only ran it for few minutes when i got it imported, i tore it apart for quadruple bypass :D
Keep us updated.
@@eeee3279 I have a college who has a old Silverwing, he has owned it for many years, according to him it's a very reliable bike and fantastic for road trips 😊
@@kihestad Thats what i was after... My last bike was not so reliable 2-smoke JAWA 638 although 10 years newer than Honda, so you can imagine the leap.
But i havent been in saddle for 11 years, fun relearning for licence. Thatswhy i took these rigid boots too- if ill drop top-heavyish GL500, chances are that my legs will be fine.
Ahh, I am sure you will have a great time with your "new" Honda! No riding for 11 years 😮 it's definitely time to get back into the saddle 😁
Have you applied leather oil or grease to them? That can make a big difference to thick leather.
I have not, but that is a good idea. Thanks for the tips!!! 👍
Does the size of your foot correspond to the declared size of the manufacturer?
Yes, I will say it does. I always use one size larger boots compared to "normal shoes" to be able to use thicker socks. I did the same on these, and they fit just as any boots I have bought.
I have found the clips VERY stiff to click down. And a screw has come out......
Aiai, does not sound good 😳 My adventure riding has been postponed to next year, so I have not used them yet. Will look out for this potential issue 🤔
