Hey Paul, hope you read this. You've been a big influence in me being able to reach sub 15% BF for the first time. Hasn't been easy and I've made mistakes but I've been consistently active and tracking for 3 yrs now. My biggest mistake I can say is not consuming enough carbs at times and feeling like crap a few times in that span of time. I'm 6' and hovering around 175 +/- a few lbs here and there. Currently at 150p/250c/100f.
Reason for the msg is because I just got back from a week in Brazil and I didn't even think of tracking. I didn't binge but I went to a few steakhouse dinners, daily pastries and definitely tried traditional Brazilian comfort food while I was there...and man did I walk. Just hours at a time walking around and I came back even leaner. The power of simple walking even without the incline is insane, you're spot on.
I wish we all had the time to consistently walk miles upon miles weekly. Thanks for all the content. Cheers.
Walking definitely is great, and certainty agree that going too low in carbs can have negative consequences. I also prefer staying active 🏃♂️🌄😊🔥💪
Thanks for posting I've seen the same thing after a cheat meal with a few drinks of alcohol I'd usually gained a lb maybe 2-3 but if I do Peloton bike after for 15mins then walk dog for 15 mins (higher heart rate I burn 20-30 extra calories walking) I suspect this lowers post meal glucose levels and thus less insulin = no or minimal fat gain! We all need to find out what works for us but post meal workouts work better for me than anything. Not intense heavy leg squats just intense zone 2 cardio.

May of 23 I was 223 pounds BMI 35 an my doctor said my cholesterol was high. After 13 months of hard work and diet changes I am down to 178 and a BMI of 27 and normal cholesterol without medication but I feel I have plateaued on my way to 160. I thank you and believe your information and videos will get me over the hump

Getting through the weekends is a big one. Keeping that consistency. Once you get through the first 2 it seems it gets easier to sustain. I have more energy when I cut out alcohol a little too.

The only thing that I have noticed that reduces belly fat is doing strength training and walking at either at small caloric deficit or maintenance, I'm walking a lot nowadays, and I'm practically main gaining, because my weight stays or I even weight more, but my abs are slowly showing more and more, I will do a dexa to prove it, I already did a dexa a few weeks ago, and although dexas are not exactly fully accurate, doing the same dexa at the same place , at the same hour will give tell me at least how much fat and muscle I have gained or lost. Thanks for the video.

I’ve been eating 1550-1500 cals all of may. 20000 steps a day 1 hour resistance training and either 30 min low impact cardio on the peloton or a 30 min calisthenics work out. Starting to feel like garbage. Lost 15 for may. I’m 189 5”10. Is it time to eat at maintenance for like 2 weeks? With all this activity I don’t wanna go lower on the cals

Great video but if there was ONE supplement that does have an impact I'd say its Berberine. I track my weight each day and it stays the same or steadily goes down but every so often I get stuck at a weight for weeks. Berberine has stopped that and I'm extremely disciplined eating just 4 hours per day and low carb and low fat too was losing 1 to 1.5 lbs per week but with berberine 2.5 to 3 lbs. Maybe its just a sample of ONE but I suspect since it does seem to lower blood glucose levels that it works. On cheat meals that used to add 1-2.5lbs to my weight a day or two later this no longer happens so again for me it does seem to drastically reduce glucose levels and thus less insulin most likely.
That's right, screw everyone. Do what no one else is doing.
For me it’s a way of life no dieting no short cuts just calculate and adjust accordingly no such thing as a special supplement that can make you lose anything
Been working out 3 days a week with the wife...in the Gym :) Because of the Macro's...listening to others(high carbs) I've only lost 3-4lbs since the start...Jan 1st, but I have firmed/muscled up. So I'm going back to my old plan with some mod's ..My body will drop weight like a hot potato on Keto at 1500 calls (I'm 200 lbs @ 5'8" @ 67 years old) but the mod's are Macro's P-180g F-74g C-30g net) We'll see if the weight falls off and yes I'm going to take creatine 3g-5g a day.. The goal is 180lbs by the middle of July, Can't do the challenge this time but count me in on the next one...
It’s probably been asked so many times but I looked at the website and it asks for bf % and I don’t know it I have a scale that tells me what it thinks I am but I’ve heard not to trust them so I was going to ask does macros need to be based on lean mass or scale weight and which way is more accurate. I have a feeling your going to say lean mass is most accurate but I just don’t know how much bf I’m carrying

the more diets I do, the more weight I gain. I took this program and got super heavier with no loss and no significant change of muscle. I will try again but I will focus on cut first because I does make you big and can be frustrating. The community is good but also very confusing, everybody has their take on what works for them.

True story, When I was 19 I went hunting by myself for a week and forgot to pack food….long story….but ended up eating boiled venison for 5 days. Great weight loss routine. Kinda sucked but certainly effective 🇺🇸 🇳🇿
