Not worth it here in the states, but if you are in Botswana, parts are a little hard to come by! Thanks for taking one for the team!

I don't have one and didn't use one. You will just have to Google it. It is not worth trying to fix the Techm. You will destroy it trying to get it apart.

@@CurmudgeonTransmission thanks for the suggestion !! I was quite afraid of doing it and undecided, I have the original with delayed 5th shifting and the donor one, I think I'll better end up paying an extra 125 bucks for a cloning service and swap the whole thing than try to swap solenoids myself, thanks again!

What's the best shift kit for 92 700r4?

Depends on what you want to do with it. Is this going to be an everyday driver or race? Don't need to buy a shift kit per se. Can get there without it and I can give you recommendations depending on your goals.

I try and not put shift kits in unless the customer really wants it. This is what I would do. Links to these sites are in the description of every video. I will just give you the part numbers and you can decide for yourself. First you want to get your line pressure squared away. Since you are not wanting too aggressive of a shift use a .471 main boost valve Part No. 77917-471, and reverse boost valve Part No. K77898, PR spring Part No. 77917-08. You will want to prevent part throttle kickdowns below 3/4 throttle so use Part No. 77966-94MK. There are 2 different kits for this. You will need to look at the end of the plunger and see what number it is, if it is 94 there is another sleeve for it. For the accumulators Part No. 74926. All these are from Sonnax. Corvette servo will give you a firm 1-2, if it is too firm for you GM came out with a servo that was between the 553 and the Corvette 093. 24230441 & 24229157 are the part numbers you need. From there you can fine tune it with drilling holes in the plate or changing springs in the valve body and governor. Since you have the instructions from the shift kit you know which holes to drill. Always start at the low end, you can always go bigger, to undo it you will be replacing a plate. Try that first and if you need to start playing around with springs get back to me. If you want a kit that has most of what I talked about get this one from Superior Superior K700-R4-HP. It comes with a Corvette servo, only thing you will need to add is the reverse boost valve.
