Really enjoyed the videos. Learned a lot of information. Thanks a lot.
So glad to hear that, thanks so much for the wonderful feedback!

Great job and much needed support and information
I can’t wait to build a 1000hp 6l80e I’ve already found all of the sonnax part numbers that I will need. ❤❤#lovesonnax
Glad to hear it! Thanks so much for your support, and let us know how everything goes.
@@sonnax will do!! I also pre ordered my 4L60e gm054-HD valve body 6months ago through summit and it’s expected to ship 1-7-24. I’ve been anticipating it’s delivery
Thanks for the advice and information
Love your videos. What would you recommend for a 2500 silverado with a 6.6l gas engine meant for towing?

Hey do you guys work on lexus transmission? For example like from 2006 to 2012 like the a960e n the aa80e?
No, as we are not transmission rebuilders. We design and manufacture top-of-the-line parts for transmissions, torque converters, and drivelines. Feel free to visit our website to learn more: www.sonnax.com. You can see what's available for the A960E here: www.sonnax.com/units/25-a960e. Hope that helps. Thanks for reaching out, and have a great day!
Would the front cover upgrade fix the issues with a 2020 Silverado that has torque converter shudder and stuff?

NO! I don't care what they believe. Keeping the stock allowed slip BS is just making life harder on the Sonnax upgraded converter.
EVERY good builder will block the appropriate ports to force TCC to not unlock or slip.
Its better if it goes in walks up unlocks locks up unlocks. And also a good practice on these transmissions is we go in and program out the lock up on first through fourth and only lock up in 5th and 6th on daily driver trucks and fourth fifth and sixth on towing vehicles. Because this slippage that GM put in there is to make sure you don't feel that torque converter lock up but that's also what makes that front cover grind down to metal and overheat and warp that front sheet metal cover and if they had built a billet style front cover for the converters they can get away with it maybe but in all actuality you're going to be much happier if you find a good person who knows how to tune a 6L 80 or a 6l90 and eliminate that slippage apply pressure just a little bit to make sure it's a good solid hold without overloading anything.
And if they're really good they'll go in and tune your shift points so that your transmission gives you a nice firm but not radical shift where you feel one two three four five six and it holds better and doesn't burn itself up.
How can i just buy it all ready to go
We don't offer complete torque converters, we design and manufacture top-of-the-line parts for them. Feel free to reach out to our product support team with any questions. Why are the owners fixing gm's problems, it should be up to gm gmc to fix the junk .
The Modified with lots of Sonnax parts 4l60e I have behind my LS1 has a 300mm 3 Pad converter TAG: TMBX 2420-6642, would it be compatable with what your showing here, I need a heavy duty low stall TQ for my 4x4.
The converter kits and modifications in the video only work for 6L80 and 6L90 units. The 300mm converters in the 4L60E’s don’t suffer from the same converter failures that the 300mm units see in the 6L units. For your 4L60E application, a converter builder should be able to set you up with a low stall 300mm TMBX style converter with a forged cover. The Sonnax part number for a forged cover for a TMBX converter is GM-CC-17: www.sonnax.com/parts/4589-front-cover. Hope this helps, and thanks for reaching out!
@@sonnax Thank you so much for replying to my question, The LS1 4l60e in question is out of a 2004 Australian Holden Commodore and fitted to a 94 Toyota Hilux LN106 using an adapter kit mating the 4l60e to the Toyota transfer case, The Hilux is setup with a Touring Canopy and loaded up for extended living in the outback and weighs in at around 2400kg / 5300lb travelling in some very hot and rugged conditions that puts a lot of stress on the transmission and converter so a recoed one is on the list to be done. Cheers from downunder.
A nice upgrade would be a Drain Plug, to aid us from wasting so money and atf on trans fluid flushing.
