These types of themes are brought up in new ways in the later novels aswell. I really hope 86 gets a second season since the story not only gets better but beacuse there are many new countries with their own way of fighting the legion. There are many times in the story where you can discuss whether something is ethical or not which I really enjoy.

@@alexizz.z Not sure what you've heard but the novels are definitely worth checking out. I think that the next arcs are better than the two that have been animated, but I guess it can feel a bit different since the novel has a little bit of a different vibe to it.

86 was my favorite anime of the season because of the different take on the mech designs and it's relevance to the current climate! Lena is such an interesting character and you saw her grow as she learns more about the juggernaut pilots.
Although I wanted to see more of her in the second season and be a badass commander and showing off her tactical skills and maybe find a way yo reform the Republic's discrimination towards the people they consider "lesser"
Love this video man keep Improving!

    I really love 86!
The story is so relevant to our times because of the discrimination and war happening arround the world.
The characters are also well written and tragic...
Great video, you really know your stuff hope to see more videos like this and the quality Improves further!!

I really like the Ideas you present in this video makes me think about the show more deeply, if you're going to the video essay/review/commentary route may I suggest a style similar to the CZcams channel "glass reflection" or "Joey the anime man" and have a proper script with good editing 😀
    Awesome video you have potential!!

Your video was nice, and presentation full of potential.
My only gripe is that you're not looking directly at us when you're presenting yourself. This makes the audience feel like they're the 3rd person you're talking to... you could use some inspiration from "Totally Not Mark", Pyrocynical (his recent docu vids) , Kyle Hill, and Someordinarygamers. Their style of presentation should give you some ideas. Other than that you could use a much higher quality microphone or instead talk closer to the mic for clarity WHEN you're not showing yourself on screen, reduce the noise via an old version of audacity or a similar program, clean it up, and you're good to go. It's the small steps that matter and I believe you love what you're doing. Good luck!

Thank you for the info! I’ve noticed their work and I love it I’m currently in the process of trying to get some new equipment and I’m not too comfortable looking directly at the camera as I’ve never stared at it much I feel like it distract from me showing my body language and expressions which is mainly why I don’t stare at it but the mic for sure will look into it!

@@alexizz.z You can try putting a marker or something on top of the cam. If you're going for a presentation wherein you are shown it is often times recommended to look at the camera, it takes time to get used to so take it slowly, what matters is that you're having fun doing what you love. :D

    目の前の戦場で何の為に戦うのかを細かく描いていましたね。仲間の為、良い人の為、愛する人の為、戦友を見届ける為。死地で目標を失った時に人はどうなるのか興味は尽きません。

I do not think that the Legion broke away from its programming, its just following the last orders its creators gave. A bit of a spoiler from the LN; right before the Giadian Empire fell, it gave orders to the Legion units to attack, who and what to attack are not specified tho. To anyone who has read the LN, pls feel free to correct me bcuz even tho I loved the LN of 86, some of the details have become hazy for my memory.
Edit: the legion that the US formed during WW1 that you mentioned are named Harlem Hellfighters.

by volume 6 it is implied that the shepherd legions have started to break free from their programming and started to do what they want to do. Spoiler

In volume 11, the shepherd no face led a second large scale offensive that uses 86 turned legion to wipe out San Magnolia completely

That it is i read i about it but it is said that the empire of gaid did not collapse because of the legion but because of the revolution that means the legion basically is just a soldier fighting for their masters but imagine if does masters are gone and the last order you were given is to continue to fight then they will

The Alba have silver hair and silver eyes, not white or even worse blue

    • @ancient6676
      @ancient6676 Před měsícem

I've heard a few youtube videos say white hair blue eyes, but the issue is that's not even enough to prevent you from becoming an 86 in San Magnolia, because Anju had the same hair color (even if illustrations make it more purple than white/silver, but canonically it is about the same as Lena's), but she lacked the "correct" eye color which is why she was an Eighty Six.
