I have another enlightening episode of Impact Theory, and I'm genuinely excited to bring you this thought-provoking conversation with the brilliant Konstantin Kisin.
We’re challenging the status quo and questioning how America is on the brink of becoming the next collapsing Roman Empire. We’re tackling the bold questions that need to be addressed. As we delve into this, we'll also explore why we might need a new set of rules - not just to survive, but to seize opportunities and safely navigate the dangers of our rapidly evolving world.
Konstantin Kisin, brings to light some profound insights. He delivers simple statements packed with layers of meaning that we're going to unravel during our discussion:
    - Nature is a social construct and there is no ground truth
    - Reality defined in the way we speak and why that is power
    - Why rules of thumb equate to the success you experience
Join us in this riveting discussion, where we break down complex ideas and strive to understand how we can all play by a better set of rules for success. So, hit that play button, and let's get started. Remember, your journey to success starts here, and it starts now on Impact Theory.
So, buckle up for an episode filled with thought-provoking insights and hard-hitting truths.
    Kisin Quotes:
“One of the things that creates the core of a society its the interlocking of men and women.”
“There is no such thing as reality, there is only power, and language is how power is exercised and how reality is constructed.”
“We’re a moral paralysis in the west, at a level of society, [...] we’re incapable of understanding that reality.”
“The biggest problem with blank slate-ism is the attempt to pretend that human nature doesn’t exist.”

For me, I believe retirees who struggle to meet their basic needs are the ones who could not accumulate enough money during their active years to meet their needs. Retirement choices determine a lot of things. My husband and I both spent same number of years in the civil service, she invested through a wealth manager and myself through the 401k. We both still earning after our retirement.

This is true. I'm in my mid 50's now. My wife and I were following this same trajectory. Last two years, I pulled out my money and invested with her wealth manager. Not catching up with her profits over the years, but at least I earn more. I'm making money even before retiring, and my retirement fund has grown way more than it would have with just the 401(k). Haha.

Tom's rattling to rationalize a trans brain, is actually how I used to think about it in the 2016 era. Now I just call it mental illness. Though I do think that a lot of the current trans people ain't actually real trans, (even if they did the surgery) as in having the gender dysphoria. Dylan Mulvaney for example is what I see as a fake trans (not actually having the dysphoria) that did transition. He is the type of "gay" that needs a lot of attention and becoming trans was his ticket for easy attention.

    • @jamesportrais3946
      @jamesportrais3946 Před 6 měsíci +2

Courage is important, but I wouldn't be too quick to beat yourself up over a rational level of risk mitigation. Since we are at least having this conversation I take it that you have adequate food, shelter and at least a general idea of what tomorrow might bring. As few as five generations past, your great-great grandparents couldn't say the same.
Average life expectancy was maybe 45, and that grinding drudge of daily existance held the hardly alluring prospect of a toothless, penniless, starving and generally miserable transition to ignominious death as a pauper, thrown into a pit alongside your peers, with a little quicklime added to hasten your erasure. That was in fact the fate of Mozart.
Gabrielle, what you're really saying is: "I want to be rich! If I could only gamble, maybe I could be rich!" It doesn't work like that. Some folk win the lottery (then predictably lose everything) meanwhile a lot more get struck by lightening.
"Maybe if I got really good - the best!" - generally doesn't hurt; it takes 5,000 hours to get seriously good at anything from a craft perspective, double that to get world class. Top surgeons, lawyers etc earn maybe $400,000/year putting insane amounts of time and effort in, typically at the expence of actually having a life. The very top tier of actors & other artists appear to cap-out around $600million net worth; for every one of them there are thousands pumping gas if I might quote the song.
The key to insane levels of wealth is scalability. You might be the best nurse, doctor or carer on the planet, but you can only care for one or two people at a time. To get truly rich you need a concept that can be scaled beyond your own physical resources. Once upon a time that meant owning a factory or business - parasitically capitalising on the efforts of others and simply skimming off the top. That usually required huge investment, which is why the "who you know, not what you know" idiom came into practice, and how class cultures were evolved.
Now Gabrielle, AI can do much of this work for you. For practically no initial outlay, relatively ordinary people are making stupid money selling books or drop-shipping.
Don't learn to code; AI can do that for you. Learn how to use AI. With a little luck, for the first time in history creatives will realise wealth within their own lifetimes.
You still here? Get busy!!!!!! 🙂

“Assume they’re well intentioned”automatically discredits the real possibility they are not well intentioned.
I honestly think it is part of the reason America is collapsing. We are letting too many bad actors execute under the assumption they are well intentioned.
But the answer is not the reverse, assume they are ill intentioned. That has it’s own set of problems.
    The answer is stop assuming.
Don’t assume, rather find out what people’s intentions are, and prepare yourself for both scenarios.

      "Curate a perfect sentence"
I have adhd, my mind moves incredibly fast from topic to topic, I can't see the sentence as it forms in my head before I speak it. Tom reminds me of me, and I can say it's not trying to curate the perfect sentence, it's attempting to convey your view which at some points is really hard to do when you can't plug in the word that makes the most sense to you. He's not full of it, he's trying to articulate his thoughts by putting them in order in his head and trying to get the word that coincides with his thoughts. Often if I don't do this people misunderstand what I'm saying.

I don’t pretend that having certain masculine traits make me a man. I use my masculine traits when needed and I certainly exude my feminine traits most of the time. When it comes to gender, I am 100% female and need a man to compliment my feminine qualities, but it seems like roles are ofter reversed, but I am not lesbian, so don’t need another vagina to compliment me. I am also very grateful that transgenderism was not a thing when I was growing up as a Tomboy...I do not feel gender disphoric. At 47:26 - debate whether the goal justifies the methods. The biggest mistake governments of once prosperous societies that fell apart - is believing in its subjects as rational and reasonable beings, which they were not. The psychological rule, is that most people are terrified from the concepts of peace and prosperity, and need an enemy to feel alive and will therefore having no problems with being lied to, manipulated to ditch the ethical principals by which they should live. If that is the reality of success - However - who lives by sword will die from sword.

The joy that comes from being ahead of people is minimal compared to it's lack in being behind them. You have an infinite source of Joy inside of you at all times. Stop competing with other people stop competing with yourself and realize that source. Your true purpose is somewhere in there not outside of it

Great people, great conversation. I've read about 7 of Thomas Sowell's books. GOAT. Konstantine is currently one of the sharpest and intellectually honest people speaking online.
