Team Wax Offroad - Zábava
Sorry! I made a mistake in the video, Yamaha is the only brand that makes sport ATVs anymore, KTM stopped in 2014.
Team Wax Offroad can am?
Lucas Braga if you mean one gear heavy ass atv’s, sure!
Honda dose to
Evan Taylor no your wrong they make ds 450s
Honda, Suzuki, Kawi.
I think ATVs crash less but have more severe crashes, dirt bikes will crash more but it’s usually small things like dumping the bike in a corner, etc.
But dirt bikes u do not get better once u have a dirt bike
ZMANMUDLIFE _ What?
DirtZilla but dirt bikes once u get one can never go back to an ATV
ZMANMUDLIFE _, What is wrong with you?

cool. like those sport quads.
Doodle Bug Thanks!!
2 wheelers are fun. We like em all!
Nice job Lando... Some great points to consider here.. The 3 dirt bikes in the truck is a huge consideration, a whole group can roll out with no need for a trailer.. This vid makes me want a dirt bike...
Lol no kidding
i have to chime in here. the advice given doesn't give all the facts. if you have an 8 foot bed on you truck you can fit 2 full size race atvs. source is ive done it myself. i put my Kawasaki 400 and Honda ex 400 in the same truck with the tailgate down with support ramps and it worked great. just make sure you use good straps since your tailgate is down.
You crash a bunch on dirt bikes tho. I’ve never crashed my four wheeler
@@darkshadows3267 I've crashed every four wheeler I've ever had..

I'm a city girl but the idea of riding around on a dirt bike or utv seem so fun
Head to the country and it gets fun haha
I used to like city more than in the country in the middle of nowhere but going 4 wheeling for the first time and starting to fish more on my dads boat easily changed my mind
Pro #6for a wheeler...you can be a little on the porky side and not look too ridiculous. I love 2 wheels but being 41 and plump makes it an easy decision for me.
Flying Brian DO 😂

If you are new to off road you will prefer a quad period because the learning curve is less. However as an experienced rider I can say that dirtbikes are better in every other way. I actually get bored of riding a quad because it is to easy. Yes, If I had more advanced trails and tracks in my area that might solve my issue a bit, but honestly at such an experience level you will want to switch to a dirtbike. If for nothing else less risk of killing yourself when a 230 pound dirtbike lands on you vs 450+ pounds of quad. Some quads are 800 pounds. The biggest advantage of a quad is stability. If you aren't fit and are not already good a riding a dirtbike, trust me get a quad. Preferably a sports quad so that you at least have to change gears. Utility quads are tools, not for fun.
Great video ,I first started off with a yz250 yes it was fun had a good experience learning everything but then I wanted to see how a quad feels bought myself a trx400ex it’s the best thing ever like you siad the each have there pros and cons it just depends on the rider you can still have fun with both ,great video
I started off with a little crf50 when I was little, moved to a crf70, then a klx110l, and then I got a 400ex and I loved it. Then I got rid of it and had three more dirtbikes and got another 400ex haha! I love both but my heart belongs with an ole two stroke bike
So you started with a dirt bike and then tried a quad and preffered the quad? Trying to decide myself, thanks.
Great video Lando..!! Noticed several TEAM WAX crew clips in this one.. Keep your cameras rolling..!!
-Doc- TEAM WAX 👍🏻
thank you, man! with your help i decided to have an atv. and i got it!
Glad we helped buddy! Have fun on that jewel
Quads all the way the older you get the more you appreciate it. Thanks for the in put be safe. God bless.
Robert Gonzalez can’t argue there. No prob on the input man!
Yes but while I'm young I'll enjoy my bikes
You will have trouble when you are older because you crash more on dirt bikes
I’ve been riding dirt bikes for a few months and have yet to crash at all, and I’ve opened her up full pin on corners, hit small jumps and wheelies
U hit a lot of points .. iv had a 660 raptor , Honda 700xx, and now I ride and switch between Honda 250x dirt bike and 400ex .. love them both but my body not as young and the dirt will beat you down after a full day of riding
Ohh yeah I’ve heard that one told a bunch haha!! I love the 400ex’s!
I have come from dirt bikes and am considering getting a raptor 700. I mostly do trail riding and don't like tight tech stuff. I also have short legs so I only feel comfortable on bikes with 36 inch seat height. I have had a few years of dirt biking experience but like to try out a quad.
The Raptor has a lottttt of torque, not for beginners but if you're alright on a more powerful bike the Raptor would be okay.
@@TeamWaxOffroad oh yeah, I had a 300 2 stroke and have ridden 450s. I hate having to kickstart a bike on a hill with my short legs. I also was riding when it was a bit damp and smoked my head when my bike slipped out from under me. My head probably traveled 10 feet and smacked the ground face first. Thank goodness for the helmet, but I had a concussion and a good head ache for a few days. After that is when I started thinking about quads lol.
@@TeamWaxOffroad first quad I rode was a 700, after a few laps of feeling out how a quad rides and how her power was and where the center of gravity was I was flying through the trails quads are fun and easy to ride but this illusion cause a lotta people to crash bc you forget how fast a short wheel base can flip
I think the only advantage that a dirt bike has is being able to lean. I say four wheelers are more fun. I’ve never crashed my four wheeler so it’s funny to see dirt bike riders fallin over all the time lol
Quads are a hundred times as stable as a bike, it doesn't take a genius to know that hahaha, that really helps with the crashing.
Thank you soooo much I chose the tag good job on helping me 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Thanks man, you’re welcome
I a super experienced quad rider i been riding since 2 now im learning dirt bikes
you're looking good then
I have amazing balance and there are tons of tight trails we’re I’m at so I’m going for a dirt bike and I have already had four whellers
Wheelers
I love both honestly. My heart belongs with the two stroke dirt bikes, but I love quads too.
Ya same it’s just I’m wanting to try something new and that I can trail ride with
You made a great point about when atv roll, prepare to pay money to repair. Which choice did you end up going with? And can dirt bike be as fun in sand after some practice?
i’ve had my fair share of both atvs and dirt bikes. i love riding both!
Has anybody had any issues with the low ground clearance on sport quads? It seems like the low rear axle and chain placement would cause you to bottom out and get hung up too much on any terrain that isn't relatively flat, or has deep ruts from frequent ATV/UTV use. I'm contemplating a sport quad, but feel like this would be an issue at the various spots along the Appalachian Mountain range that I like to ride, where the terrain can get pretty uneven and rocky.
I've rode my 400ex on rutted and rocky trails, as far as all that, you can get through it if you pick the right line to hit it, but it isn't necessarily easy. You can't just crawl through some spots like a sxs or utility can, you've got to keep speed and momentum to bounce through a rut or anything you can get hung on.
@@TeamWaxOffroad Great info. Thanks for the reply.
Can we get a moment of silence for true sport atvs
I agree with that! .............
Team Wax Offroad missing it yfz is the last one and probably only for a fewmore years
JESUS CHRIST is the only way to heaven, accept LORD JESUS CHRIST as your Lord and savior.
Can’t wrap my head around the fact that companies don’t do any sport quads anymore, I would buy a 2021 banshee no doubt
I love sports quads
Hillclimbing and mudding
They can go almost anywhere a bike could
And it’s easier for rocks for your average rider
I love them both a lot honestly
Great video agree with all the pros and cons still can’t figure out which one I want tho they both have there goods and bads almost like you need both 😂
Thanks
I agree with everything this guy is saying the only thing I can’t relate to is the part where he says a con for dirt bikes is that it’s not easy for beginners I got it down in two days I can shift take tight turns and have good throttle control my only advice is that you have to be committed and it’s not as scary as you think my first time I was so nervous and was breathing super heavy but I was committed and took everything at my own pace which lead to me now being able to ride tracks comfortably I learned about a month ago now
For some people, it’s natural. If you’ve never rode one and start in the trails, it might be difficult. But it might not. But thanks for saying that, you make good points!
It took me about an hour to learn to ride a dirt bike. No joke it was a peewee 80 that could almost do 100kph. A 2007 jr80 (susuki for the non bike guys why are u here?). I still hav it and i still ride it all the time. In the next couple weeks im getting some kind of crf 230f no older than 2016
It took me 2 minutes to learn to ride a quad😉
Never start a beginner on a quad before a dirt bike, cuz if he's a bit chicken, then he won't dare try to learn to ride the dirt bike, cuz of the mind tricks you and tells you a quad is easier when I actually think it's a bit more challenging in some ways than a dirt bike.
I'm really curious on what you think makes a 4 wheeler harder to ride at a high level than a dirt bike... I mean going into a turn on a dirt bike u have to use alot of stabilizing muscles and be in the exact correct body position and have right lean angle and speed and momentum or else your going to have front wheel push out and throw u off.......on a quad...on the same turn, none of that matters as much... Unless u tip it over, u won't fall no matter what, body can be way outta position and still get thru turn fine, u have to think ahead on dirt bike and choose a line cuz the wrong line or the wrong orientation and u can get cross rutted, blow berm out and fall, on a quad u just plow thru the line without ever even thinking u might fall, because u won't.....toouch front brake while turning on a dirt bike will tuck it wheel and throw u off, a quad will just come to a stop and never even think about ending or doing a stoppie....I mean, I can go on and on but I just wanna here your side of this argument as I'm sure your already biased by liking quads more coming into this topic as I try to take a more pragmatic logical position to remain neutral and objective in my.findings.....
I just got a quad and my best friend bought a dirt bike so we will see which is better 😂, great video
You found the easiest way to decide haha!
Whats the answer?
which one won? lol
So which one is worse?
Solid information.
I love the yamaha atv rapter700
I'm gonna be starting on dirt bike sports one day. my question is if were to master mountain biking the ones where you have to use legs to make the bike move, would that affect the performance of beginners on dirt bikes? because mountain bikers master the balance.
it would definitely help with balancing a dirt bike, you’re just balancing a heavier bike. and it will ride 100x smoother. would take some getting used to at first but i think you’d be in good shape
Thank you for the answer!
Nice job!
Thanks!
both... both is good
i agree
God bless spread his word!
I think ATVs are better because you don't have to worry about keeping balance on the ATVs
you mean you pussy your way around? there is a ton of things with this argument of yours.
I like dirt bikes for wide open desert cuz they handle to bumps fast way better and I like my 150 sx cuz it is so light
Goated video 👍🏾
Thanks
I like to rip around in trails but everyone I know has a Fourwheeler and I like going through deep puddles is idk which ones for me (my old one is my pfp)
Dirtbikes aren’t for puddles. So four wheeler for sure
JESUS CHRIST is the only way to heaven, accept LORD JESUS CHRIST as your Lord and Savior.
To me dirt bikes require drastically a high level of skill to ride at the ametire or pro level, u have to use more muscles to stabilize the bike since it can tip over, unlike a quad......quads appeal to he masses because easy to ride and easy to get good relatively fast without much pain and suffering..... especially in today's , "instant gratification " mindset....everyone wants to be good , now, to be the best now, to be the fittest in shape, now, ...dirt bikes test you at every level , it will be extremely hard to get to those hi levels but when u put in the work and dedicated, the payoff is more rewarding than any quad could ever dream of in my opinion....I have a greater sense of free will and freedom on a dirt bike as w a quad being a 1/4 of a ton....very limited in self expressive ways such as creative jumps......so if u want the quick , easy way out, and don't wanna work hard to get better, than a quad may just be for you.....but if you have what it takes to ride a dirt bike at a high level, chicks dig that alot more than quads, dirt bike guys get all the tail....!!!!...lol
Ok you can stop sucking dirt bike guys off now.
Good vid dawg
Recruit thanks!
"if you haven't decided yet you need a good old fashioned three wheeler" LOL I feel like a quad is is better just because it can handle snow, mud, stable.... But I more or less would still probably end up getting a dirtbike
Appreciate it this video helped me choose a 4wheeler
Glad we helped
Ok I’m 13 5’9 and has never ridden before and I’m getting 2k to spend I’ve been looking for like crf250rs and things like that but don’t know if there to big I also don’t mind a quad but don’t know what’s best for me, what’s your recommendation on models for both dirt bike and quad
There are plenty of options of quads for that budget. There's my recommendation, the 400ex. Or there is the 350 Warrior, or Kfx400 for a little less money. Having never ridden before at your age, a bike won't be as simple. A 250r may be a little too peppy for someone who's never rode. I would recommend maybe a Kx100 or 125 two stroke.
Lucky that's tall for
13
I want a dirt bike for sure
they’re a blast
Interesting
SC TEAMWAX Thanks
Thanks bro
no problem
Which cost more to maintain, doesn’t quad need rebuild faster
Mr Black it depends. A two stroke engine will need to be rebuilt faster, period. Is doesn’t matter if it’s on a bike or a quad, two stroke motors don’t hold up as long as the four stroke ones do. Four strokes will last a lot longer on a quad and bike.
I have a nice bike but in maine people hate them and you can’t take them on most trails, so I might get a quad, just don’t know if it’s worth it
It is
My dad competed in motocross with bikes so I’m thinking a bike but at the same time an quad so we’ll see
It’s honestly complete preference. Some people can ride way better on a quad, some can ride better on a bike.
I'd ride a bike over the quad because you can really get almost anywhere you can jump and its lightweight I've ridden both
Bruh you can jump a four wheeler. I say quad everyday because while you are crashing, falling over, and getting stuck In little puddles I can fly by on a quad
Sports quads for me all the way
they’re fun definitely
Both of em
Do you think a raptor 350 quad is good for a beginner?
Depends on age, teenager, for sure
Iam 17 years old do you think its good for me
@@rodrigobatista1167 yeah it'd be a fun quad for you
I’m looking at used quads on fb marketplace and there’s some amazing deals on old quads. Think I’ll get one and mod it with my dad. (I’m 12 btw lol so I’ll need my dad to help a bit)
I understand that haha
Yeah i think im getting a 50cc dirtbike when i turn 14
An ATV is ideal for riders who will be taking leisure rides and want more out of their vehicles. It can come in handy with various tasks such as handling heavy equipment.
Dirt bikes offer the promise of thrills and incredible memories. If you are adventurous, a dirt bike can satiate your hunger for dangerous pursuits.
A dirt bike is also a better choice for people who would like to venture into professional racing. The most mindful thing you can do on either is to be safe and follow the law.
Personally I like dirt bikes better but quads aren’t bad at all
I think I’m going with four wheeler
I don't know how do I control the dirt bike. But I can only control the bicycle with training wheels. But I can't control the bicycle without training wheels. and I know about controlling the ATV. ATV is better than bikes and motorcycles

Quads for life
Quads Guy don’t blame ya man!
Do you know why used sport quads are so expensive?
Because most manufacturers quit making them.
For y whi one is better?
If i decide it would probably be a quad
Hello please answer I am going to buy one I don’t know which I am a bit scared of a quad landing on me if I fall off. But I’m not sure I would be very good on a dirt bike. Answer please
What type of riding do you plan on doing?
Team Wax Offroad mostly just back roads and fields
Jimpx ! Then a quad would be stable enough that you won’t have to worry about it flipping unless you’re in an extreme situation. I would go with a quad
Team Wax Offroad which would go faster
Jimpx ! That all depends on what kind of bike or quad you get and who is riding it. A person on a stock 450 quad could beat someone on a built 450 bike if the person on the bike had little experience. But that could work both ways. I’m not certain on which ones are faster if both are stock (A 450 quad and bike). Based on all the drag races I’ve seen and even being around both machines, I’ll say a bike would be a little bit faster.
which are the best atvs to get i really don’t know

I agree 100%
I'm 15, 5'7, 125 lbs what bike could you recommend to me?
I'm about your size, but I'm 14. If you trail ride or race, I'd get a 125 two stroke. I've had trail bikes (CRF230 in particular) and they lug a lot, which is good in the trails, but they're so dagum heavy. And in the terrain we ride in, that gets in the way. They're also slow if you want to go fast. The two strokes are incredibly light for their size and pack a ton of speed and power. If you ride in technical trails like us, you'll want to keep it revved high.
@@TeamWaxOffroad oh yeah, I want that sweet adrenaline. I was thinking about buying a 125 two stroke in good shape with my hard earned money but I wanted to be sure. Thank you bro this really helped!! You earned a sub man!
Rew thanks man it means a lot! Glad I could help!

Thanks for watching!
Why choose, when you can buy both?
Got a quad saving for a dirtbike
awesome!
Bro you can fit 2 quads on a pick up Stand them on the back wheels and strap over the a arms they won’t move good video tho
Good point, If you get creative, you can fit more then that. Thanks for watching
You can, but its not ideal
I think quads should be for beginners and the aggressive drivers and dirtbikes should be for experts and pros
Well that all depends on how they start out, cause small dirt bikes and quads are really good for beginners. I started on a bike when I was 5 and I’ve owned bikes and quads both. Some people are experienced and aggressive quad riders and some are more aggressive on bikes.
I want a fat tire Honda now

A 450r dirtbike is pretty dang powerful
Team Wax Offroad should I get one and learn from mistakes or get a small 125 or something idk I need power to get away from the feds because dirt bikes aren’t legal where I live I don’t think a 125 would be fast enough for me
Could you try a 250 four stroke? They would have plenty of power
Both
sweet!
I want a quad bad but also a bike. I have a bike but I want a quad still. Might sell bike for quad to test it out
Go for it
which ones cheaper
bikes are usually cheaper depending on what bike you get

Which one is better for outrunning the cops?
depends on where you're at, what the bike is, and the terrain you're in lol
I was big on bikes. I gotta yamaha blaster an I was better on qaud then bike
lower class418 yeah some people are better on ATVs than dirtbikes and some are the other way around. Thanks for watching!

I dont need to choose I can buy both
glad you can afford it
On my four wheeler I go 110
Wow
Ktm is a great brand for dirt bikes or quads but the quads are getting rare🥲
Dirt bikes in a way are safer because if you start to fall off at the dirt bike falls the opposite wins the writer unlike four-wheelers which would befall the direction that the writer is falling so there's more of a chance by being crushed by an ATV than a dirt bike.
Simple enough. Its all a preference when it comes to making a decision
you can drift on dirtbikes as well 🥺
It’s just more difficult than drifting on a quad
And wipe out like that guy did in this video lol
You can barely drift it’s more of a loss of control on a bike
