Few questions. What wheel bases have you tried? Is everything from Thrustmaster, Logitech, Fanatech, Moza, Simagic and Asetek easy to mount?
Can you put the Next level racing wheels on it?
What Next level racing accessories can you put on it without needing extra compatibility stuff? Can it take those Motion Plus Platform and Motion Platform V3 etc?
Is it very heavy or not?
Can one man built it or you need help? Did you built it alone?
Lastly i heard that there is a GT lite that no one seems to review and many don't sell can you review it and see what is going on with it?
Idk how a cockpit that costs 1k usd without the seat is considered "not overpriced". If thats not overpriced, I must be homeless then😂
$1250 for a 160x40 rig with interchangeable seating positions and full adjustment on the seat isn’t bad at all in my opinion at least
It is bad. Not great value at all.
@@OCRacing1250$ is how much my whole sim setup costs including the pc. My point is, for the average sim racer, this is nowhere near budget or not overpriced.
@@tifa26 For simracers running a small rig that you attach your chair to and is looking to upgrade into the world of alu rigs it's 100% not overpriced, the price of alu rigs in general is a steep market
Trak-Racer and Sim-Lab is 3 or $400 cheaper. Trak-Racer 160 is $800 WITH seat included.
Sim-Lab gt1-evo is $450 without seat.
The NLR rig is too much
"With a cheap price is actually not so bad at $999." Lmao
my thoughts
To be fair it is a really good offering for what it is
1250 for a rig only is huge, you need a reality check.
There are companies out there selling steering wheels for close to $2000. That is more crazy than a whole cockpit.
Smartphones makers ask as much for a little device and Nvidia asks much more to get their best GPU.
@@SIPEROTH but nobody says that a $2000 wheel is NOT overpriced.
@@Gizfreek bro who is saying that, no one
this channel changed into a sponsor channel .. he got deals with few companies so he has to talk good about it .. i have a p1x simlab frame with bucket seat for 1000... and this bullshit is 1299 ? he deffo needs a reality check.
1k usd is NOT overpriced? April fools was like 2 weeks ago 😂 For that price you can buy:
Real car seat
Some planks
All tools necessary to build the entire setup… or like two
That’s how I built my rig and the total cost including the seat was about £50
For 999 I think it’s overpriced. you can build it yourself including a nice seat for around 600/700. In Europe we have a company called motedis and they offer diy rig’s starting at 350-400 (without seat but with tripple monitor mount). I would stay away from NXL, Sim-Lab, etc if you want the same quality but without the brand tax.
no way he actually called the seat the "esr3" instead of the "ers3" throughout the ENTIRE video lmao
LOL that got me too, honest mistake though haha. 6:34 got me where he said no visible flex in the pedal plate and then proceeds to show flex, still looks like a good rig though, I really want the F-GT Elite
@@ROBBRO_ thats flex from the hinge for adjusting the pedal plate, not the actual pedal plate. i think the video where he shows real pedal flex is the cammus pedal video. i want a cockpit but have nowhere near that kinda money for one. im looking at the playseat challenge, which was the cheapest one i could find atm
nah, people are better off with a sim-lab gt1 evo / pro or something. almost half the price of this
Yeah, I paid $450.00 for my Gt1 evo from Microcenter, it came with the monitor mount, and shifter mount. These profile Rigs are outrageous sometimes. Lol
Thanks for this, will definitely look into it.
Glad I could help
Production quaility on your vids are above everyone else’s … can tell lots of work goes into them
Which monitor mount are you using? I just bought the GT elite ford edition (because I like blue) and the formula add on kit for adjustability
I jjst got the fgt elite with the ers3. Absolutely love it. It's not the 160. Bit it's still sweet af
i was hopping to get a comparison to the gt elite since it is the only one available in my region is there a huge difference between them after you get the ELITE FORMULA UPGRADE KIT?
Almost at 100k subs. It will be well deserved.
Thank you! Patiently waiting 😅
How incredibly well edited !
Nearly 100k subs 🔥🔥
Bought my 16040 rig without a seat for 660€ including taxes, and then it was about 70€ for the shipping, so a bit cheaper. But it’s not black and the pedal plate adjustment is even slower, so that could explain some of the difference in price. And it’s in Europe and not North America.
Great review 🎉
Hey what is the monitor stand called?
What editing software do you use?
What gloves do you use?
I’ve got this sim racing cockpit, but mine is the Ferrari Scuderia edition. Absolutely love it. It makes it better that I got it brand new, in box for $340.
We are so glad to hear! Thanks for sharing!
It’s actually funny because while watching this review I am sat in the exact same setup.
Like the 160 and the same exact seat. 😂
Haha, how do you like it?
@@OCRacing Well it’s not even fully finished as of yet due to life liking to get in the way (all that is missing is the shifter)
But from what I can tell so far it’s perfect, seat is comfortable. And the cockpit gives me no worries about rigidity
@@pixelgaming0074 This is great to hear! We are so glad you're enjoying your cockpit!
What amount of fbb is enough for drifting and other stuff? Aomone please answer
As far as I can tell, structurally it's the same as the F-GT Elite, just with thicker aluminum profiles. From my experience with F-GT Elite, the pedal deck coupling with the slanted pillars limits the adjustability a lot in seating position, if you are too short or too tall, you'll have to end up somewhere in the hybrid range and won't be able to switch seating positions. That said, it's still a very good, strong, and nice-looking rig, highly recommended, the F-GT Elite 160 edition should only be better. I'd have bought this instead if they had released it a few months earlier, the price is only $200 more. (If you buy directly from their own website, the price is actually the same as the non-160 edition, which is wild.)
Been watching you for about a year. Inspired me to start CZcams. Love the content and can’t wait for you to hit that 100k mark!🎉
Thanks a lot man, best of luck with your content
@@OCRacing thanks man!
i take care of someone 100%and do it out of the kindest of my heart its my best friend i dont make money as for me that is super exspensive trying to by a seat alone would take me 6 months to save for.i have a moza 5.5 with a desk mount
How did you scratch it so easy??..I have banged around mine plenty not a single scratch
OC, is it a ESR seat or is it a ERS seat as it says ERS in the middle of the seat? Just checking 😅
ERS, I just got it switched up when writing the script and accidentally went with it
5:09 this could be actually nice for VR cables. 🤔
This or a Sim Lab P1X with their seat for basically the same price? I’m going sim lab all day
I bought another one of Next Level Racing's cockpit, the GT Lite. It came rusted, was a pain to assemble. Honestly the experience was so bad for something so expensive I cannot ever recommend NLR's products. I hope others have good experience with theirs
Looks sick!
Any idea if the GT Track seat would be mountable on this?
I don’t see why it wouldn’t - though it wouldn’t hurt to send NLR an email asking for confirmation before purchasing
Would you recommend this over the alpine trx?
In terms of actual in-game performance, flex, and comfort, yes. In terms of looks, and ease of adjustability, no. Depends what’s most important for you. Notably one of the things I disliked most about the TRX was its massive size whereas this one is a lot more compact
wow still so expensive. Anyway (unrelated) QUESTION ive been looking at the Thrustmaster tlcm, moza SRP, fanatec csl not elite with load cell and the cammus lc100
which one would you advise me to upgrade to?
They're all good choices - the T-LCM is probably the weakest of the bunch. For me it's between the Fanatec CSL and the Cammus LC100. At the moment, I believe only the Fanatec is available as the Cammus LC100 is still on pre-order.
Thank you
You might want to have a look at the Simsonn pro pedals. I run them and for the price (~220$) the quality and performance is great. Load cell pedals made mostly of steel.
@@marcushillerstrom25 do you think it's better than the cammus lc100's?
@@vroomvroom248 I haven’t tried the Cammus pedals, but from what I’ve seen in reviews of the Cammus set, I think they are similar in performance.
Another banger from OC 🫡
Oscar that will be a nice upgrade, would you place a large order with fanatec right now🤔👍🙋
Would I place an order with Fanatec? I have placed some within the last few months and they've always arrived in a few weeks.
Sadly this time we are on vacation and can’t take part in the 12 hour of bathurst, but next time RSK motorsports will be back!
Sounds good, enjoy the vacation 👍
Is that seat compatible with others cockpits?
Yes
Does anybody know what happened to Moza R3 Xbox compatible DD package. It was supposed to be out months ago. I'm still using my noisy gear 920.
The MOZA R3 is currently halted. I believe they are having some troubles with licensing with Microsoft.
“NOT Overpriced” proceeds to show an 1,000$ Cockpit (without seat)
The problem with this cockpit is that they didn't find a way for it to change easily positions. In the end this is not a cockpit for a person that likes changing to Formula and GT positions because i don't care how devoted you are is just too much of a hassle to change positions.
This is more for a person that is not sure what position he wants and this cockpit will be more probable to give him one that he will be fine with or at best a person that like playing a certain Formula racing for a certain time and then another for another certain time which means they change position only once every few months.
Other than that the seat seems cool and well priced(don't know how long lasting it is before it starts tearing etc) and the mounting plate for wheels bases is probably from the best in terms of compatibility with lots of wheel bases if what most reviewers said is true.
This is not good value at all. People need to realize that 4080 profile is all that’s necessary. These 40160 and 40120 rigs are overbuilt af. I run a 23nm wheelbase and 200kg load cell pedals on my 4080 rig along with a qubic motion system and have no flex at all anywhere. The weak point is never the profile. It’s the corner brackets, hardware, pedal tray or wheel deck. All of which can easily be replaced or reinforced as needed for way less than the cost of this. 4080 rigs are often $500usd or less. Compared to usually over $1000usd for one of these needlessly heavy rigs with extra unnecessary material that will just slow down a motion system unnecessarily.
I'm planning to build a rig and haven't decided what profile size to choose, so your comment is pretty useful. thank you!
@@vsm1456 no worries man! Get some 4080 it’ll be all you need.
Pretty sure it says ers3 on the seat and not esr3
They literally have the f-gt Lite for $600 that would work for almost everything which is already $400 cheaper then your “reasonably priced” choice
I know you enjoy the hardware side of sim racing but that doesn’t mean you can make simply untrue claims
I think it’s a little overpriced for me lol 😂 Good vid oc!
Its a sales add
Advanced Sim Racing has the best aluminum profile chassis on the market for cost v performance. ASR3 is all you'll ever need... Ever.
Esr3? Ers3? Was i the only one who noticed? Nice review man!
Just realized. Bit of a tongue twister, my fault 🤣😭
I own this. I would no recommend if you are 6 foot and over.
Hey!
Hey, how are you?
@@OCRacing this to too funny lol (also i'm not a bot i just think it's funny that bro is havin a convo in the yt comments section)
@@ARYEHTONAMIX I have convos in the comments all the time, not much else to do sometimes lol
@@OCRacing That's life sometimes lol
Reasonably priced? Good one 😅
GT omega prime lite is the way to go.
The Sim lab P1-X pro is better value as you get a monitor stand with it and thicker extrusions, and the ESR-3 seat looks underwhelming. I wonder how much NLR paid you for this review. My playseat evolution seat looks more comfortable and both are fake leather.
So we not droning?
droning?
@@OCRacing so we’re from coppersville
Hey you have an awesome name Oscar ( my name's Oscar)
No, you have an awesome name.
@@OCRacing awwww what a sweetheart you are 🥰😘
Sim seats are way overpriced. You can go to jeggs and pick up racing seats for half that price
I’m reviewing this thing, here’s my discount code. All I needed to hear to know your words are sus.
Plus $1000 for $300 max of 320 aluminum rails.
You could have the aluminum cut to length, buy a tap and dye kit, and some bolts, and still not have $400 in it.
I built mine for $300 but already have the tools. A company more than doubling its profit on something so easy to manufacture is a bit of a scam.
not overpriced....
W Video
NLR makes the worst seats ever. Cheap mass produced chinese crap. I’m glad you mentioned about changing positions and the issue with monitors. Its great to go from gt and formula, but changing the monitor up and down is nothing anyone wants to constantly do
We're sorry you feel this way! What seats have you tried? We'd love to hear some feedback!
a simlab cockpit is way cheaper then this crap lol
I bet you were that kid at school who was spoiled by their parents who could get you anything. You just have issues if you think that is not overpriced 😂🤡🤡
