When looking for a subwoofer, always take into account the use case. Consider the size of the enclosure, size of the driver, amplifier power, lower frequency extension, max SPL, how flat the response is, ported vs. sealed vs. passive radiator, and whether it has DSP app controls. There's no true best subwoofer for everyone, only best for your use case. Determine what your needs are first. Luckily, there are lots of good options once you determine what those needs are.

Yesterday, I reran Audyssey, this time with close measurement points near our seating area. Subwoofer position unchanged and is still cornered at the left frontal corner with about 8 inches away from the side wall.
Read SVS tutorials from website and our PB1000 Pro sub instructions card. Set -15 on the Subwoofer volume before the Calibration. After completion, the AVR set Subwoofer level at -8.5db.
Finally, I set it at -8 (for movies) on the Subwoofer volume and -6.0db on the AVR Subwoofer trim level. Dynamic EQ is ON, set to reference 0db. Dynamic volume OFF

One has to really think harder before buying from Hsu, otherwise, paying for shipping and then for return, that will cost more than $200 just for two way shipping. If one is not careful on return time, Hsu will charge %15 restocking fee. That is another big sum to waste.

Just noticed they had a price increase. I'd like to buy 2 SVS PB1000/2000 pros to compare against my Ultimax 12s tuned to 19Hz.
But the price is just too far beyond what I feel is justifiable (Only because I'm comfortable with DIY) even to just try out and return.
My 12s seem to be flat to 17Hz whereas the PB1000 Pro as you shown is -6dB at 17Hz so for me personally the sub probably isn't up to my standards.
Though that isn't me trying to say the subs suck. If they did they wouldn't be a very successful business now would they. (I low key recommend SVS to those that can't do DIY)
As a side note. You could probably knock down that bump near it's roll off and then they 17Hz extension looks even better. Though for me I'd still prefer it to be more flat right off the bat.
Anyway sorry for the long winded comment. Thanks for the review! (If you keep getting bigger subs to test you'll need to reinforce your house haha)
