Today I'm going to be going through ALL of the different Operating Systems that I've featured on my channel and showing you the best options if you are on a low end computer. Using these operating systems will drastically increase your computers performance as they have less bloatware and preinstalled apps and can give you a huge FPS boost in games like Minecraft
I will show how much FPS each one gives me and whether it runs well on a low end PC such as my eBay Gaming PC.
Lots of you guys liked my 'Playing Minecraft on WINDOWS 11' and 'Playing Minecraft on WINDOWS 8.1 in 2022...' videos so this one is for you guys! and even Playing Minecraft on ZorinOS which is quite a popular one
I hope you guys find this video interesting. Let me know what kind of videos you want to see in the future and make sure to leave a like and subscribe.

pls answer me if i download like atlas os will it delete anything i have bcs i have so many important things
@@har3nz when i downloaded it, every time i boot it gives me two options to either boot through windows 11 or through atlas. All the stuff on window 11 stay the same but it doesnt transfer to atlas. Idk i that helps
love your videos keep em comin!!
this video is great! as for windows 7, id recommend using the windows 7 image updater since it slipstreams all updates / drivers into the iso! and as for using 7, it's great on my i5-3470, way more optimized then 10 (upgrading to a 12th gen i5 soon)
Yeah when I tried Windows 7 for a video I found an ISO with USB 3.0 Drivers and most of the updates done for me
I use zorin os on my i5 3470, it's better and i get all latest software
After you made a video on Revi OS I am using it and its fast thanks 😃😃😃
thank you for this very informative video!
i use arch btw
He's come out with another great video
Thank you
love that you're showing love to the custom ISO community since not many people know about them and they make a big difference in quality of life and performance overall

@@elijahtron07 there was a video mutahar (from someordinarygamers) did a short while ago... anyway, welcome to the linux community!
Zorin is windows 11 type customizations (no sharp edges on anything) with windows 10 features (the sidebar being on the sides instead of the middle)
idk why but i have this habit of subscribing and liking every video i see
Sne
one thing u could (maybe) mention is the winget command on windows to install
since most performance os yeets the ms store (and the edge browser)
Love the videos ✅
Have you tried out Nobara? It's basically Fedora but by the ProtonGE dude. I liked it when I tried it out and it preinstalls all kinds of gaming-on-linux stuff for you.
I will look into it! thank you
Atlas OS user here. I've used this OS for about a week and it's been great. I love it and it means I can actually record using obs and play games at once
What were you using before, and what were your specs?
Can confirm, using for about 3 months and boi i can actually open more than 3 tabs
@@noel7083 I have a Pentium n3700, and minecraft went from like 25 fps to 45 fps, general windows ui and browsing is also very good

Awesome man! Glad you like it
For those of you who really want to use Arch's lightweight base , then i'd recommend EndeavourOS and Manjaro! Both are great OS's and have great community for support.
Don't use Manjaro Its bloated
for me the FPS is low for gaming like 45% less FPS then windows , did everything no fix !
still has it and use it for time to time but mostly moved back to win 10 for gaming
for normal people who want to game Linux is not good if you just want things to work , if i was not in to PC stuff i would have not even downloaded any of them
someone should make a Linux that can run .exe natively (no wine and other stuff)

Have you installed the video drivers? Linux has the AMD graphics drivers built into the installation. Nvidia needs to be installed manually. For games I like Windows 10 Ghost Spectre.

Hey Dan!👋 Good to see 2 of you on the screen :)) For 2 years i've been distro hopping and im now using garuda kde. I didnt even know my laptop could handle that! I ve always been using some of the lightest distros and xfce and it worked just fine i suppose. My laptop really isnt the best out there, but is does have some ram and memory left in it;) and this guy said in one of his videos of showcasing a distro that his not gonna install xfce with it, it might be using a bit less memory but why should he? So after that i installed garuda kde and not xfce or lxqt and it worked just fine! I never liked kde cuz when i tried it for the first time on fedora it broke and the screen went white but now im happy with the change! To sum it up:) i guess i was always afraid of changind to a new, more powerful distro bc i thaught my laptop would explode, but linux is quite surprising ;)
Yeah it seems I've only scratched the surface with Linux, There are some really good options out there for sure. Are you on my discord by any chance? I'm going to be trying out those distros you mentioned in the future it would be good to have someone who knows what they're doing to help me
😂
Yess garuda is amazing, I used to use it back when I was new to Linux but switched to a custom arch install with KDE for more customisability
@@NotroDan That sounds lovely! I just enterd your discord and saw the rooms. Id be clad to help;)

If I either use Atlas OS or GgOS, could I still use them as my everyday operating systems? I use Windows 10 and hate how many Windows Processes are running (I manually terminate unnecessary junk running in the background and get fewer processes and works that way), which some of them are non-essetial. My PC is not low-end, but, I could still give it a shot, one day. Plus, I even stripped out almost all of Microsoft's telemetry by turning off settings that have been turned on by default for me and used software to delete all of the stuff I don't want. I still appreciate this video, regardless. Keep up the good work!
In ubuntu you can choose minimal installation which will not install unnecessary apps
For windows i recommend Tiny10/11 or Phoenix Lite OS because they also based on windows 10/11 but Stripped down too. I used those and they really good.
How do you get updates for them?
Ayy great video bro!
Thank you!!!
If I can I would suggest fox os. It has many versions for different versions of Windows it's bare Bone and really good similar to the ones featured in the video but probably a bit more secure but has a lot more versions
Can you provide a review and link o download fox os
I’ve installed Minecraft Java on a Chromebook. It’s *_VERY_* laggy but I got an iron armour + tool set so it does work. On a better machine with Chrome OS Flex it’d be better as Chrome OS is just a googled Linux.
I found a way to play minecraft on my chrome book once it was only bedrock edition but it worked with the keyboard and ran pretty well
Hey Dan!
I just wanna ask if a normal Minecraft is still able to hold up to 90 fps? Or anything number of it
And sorry if I have sended you a mail on your account

do you think you could make a tutorial how to get drivers for windows 7?
i personally don't have a low end pc, but i have a laptop along with my desktop that i guess is used mainly for school and random stuff i guess and it seems to work fine on windows 10 or 11 standard but i don't use it that much unless i'm at school and i wanted to have windows 7 on it just because i've always loved windows 7 and when the idea came to my head to try and install windows 7 on it, i began doing research but i can't figure out how to get the drivers
after like 3 days of painful troubleshooting of all kinds of errors just trying to install the OS at all, i finally figured out a way to get the OS to work but it came with absolutely 0 drivers, like so little to the point that i couldn't really use the system.
There wasnt even a driver for the mouse, i couldn't use the mouse, and the usb ports didn't work, and there were no LAN or ethernet drivers so even when i plugged in the laptop to an ethernet connection it still couldn't connect to the internet
the most i could do was play the preinstalled games like chess or solitaire with only the keyboard, which surprisingly worked but i have no idea how to get the drivers onto it
oh and i forgot to mention i do know how to access bios and all that so i was able to just reinstall windows 10 on it so my laptop isn't completely useless now, i just want it to be useful on windows 7
alright to access what u need to do (on most computers and laptops) is spam the Delete key as soon as you turn the laptop on before it loads into the operating system. There might be a different hotkey so look up your laptop model to find it.
I'd recommend Windows X Lite's builds such as Micro 10 or Atomic 11 v2
My laptop came with Windows 8. It was slow, but it was tolerable. So it seems that Atlas and GGOS would mimic the speed it had with 8. Is that right?
thx for info i have no idea abouth zorin os , i know linux mint and some other ubuntu base distro but not this one
You can disable the Windows 8.1 start screen by installing Open Shell btw
love hate relationship with the metro start screen
Hey if you can’t find any optimization guides that help you I found one and its methocially’s 1000fps guide
13:21 yeah drivers on arch can be a bit of an issue, it's not worth it if you have a Nvidia GPU but Intel and AMD should work flawlessly if you have the latest Mesa driver (sudo pacman -S mesa)
Agreed!
anything nvidia with arch sucks but im still gonna use linux
@@itzlqmer6084 about to buy an rx6700 to replace my 980ti so I can run arch with the newest kernel
5:31 It was probably because of the see through skin of Windows 7 + Vista, it was quite a memory hog, but if you turn it off it runs really good.
yea im coding a os that you can customize choose what you want to run or not and change them to macos theme or windows 10 or 11 themes :D
Minecraft on renegade project? Its a project for Windows for arm on some Android phones and will be cool if you check it out
the only thing that AtlasOS misses is that there's no eMMC drivers, most low end laptops will have eMMC which means AtlasOS is useless. I'd love to try it but I can't.
I have three computers running Windows 7. Great OS in my opinion.
Whats the best custom os for windows 11?

My laptop is a Chromebook and I play Minecraft Java and bedrock really well. There’s also Roblox. There’ GeForce Now to play Steam games.
Fun fact: The Pro for Workstations edition has the least amount of bloatware.
Well Linux doesn't support some games anticheat like valorant and Fortnite but it depends on which game you wanna play mc runs at good fps but many games don't and there are many driver problems

I have an old laptop with an AMD APU E-300. I've tried a number of distros from Linux Mint to Tiny Core to Debian and never been satisfied. Watching CZcams on it always pushes the CPU to 100%. I've tried Zorin, but could never get it to install. I went with Core thinking it was the lightest version, but I'll try the one that says Light next time. Lol. Maybe it just prefers Intel over AMD I suspect. My next option is Debian command line and then try to build from there. Hoping to eliminate resource hungry apps and programs that I can't eliminate in the basic install. (Yep. Learning Linux the hard way.) My next option is to replace the motherboard with a stronger CPU. I see no reason to purchase another laptop when I can upgrade the one I have. Of course I guess I could and send this one to the recycling bin.
My old laptop runs windows 7 and one time i got around 80-100 fps in minecraft optifine fullscreen
Atlas OS, gg OS, Tiny 10, Tiny 11 ... how will I get updates?
After many years of using custom Windows builds and taking my own conclusions and personal tests, in my opinion the best custom Windows ISO's are currently:
KernelOS latest builds and X-Lite latest builds, because they all don't come with bloatware and are pre-optimized (if you are not much of a PC enthusiast and simply want a clean, simple and fast experience) these are slightly lighter in terms of resources and storage space not to mention the improved compatibility resulting in a super smooth experience!
linux mint deserves a mention
Good
I still think my Kali is father of these you provided... but yea for a person who doesnt know codes... Zorin is the Best 2nd is Atlas and 3rd is Windows 8
did u do all of this on one pc?
