Today I attempt to steal all of Europe's colonies and become the only superpower in the world. Is Britain capable of going up against Europe's biggest and best? Discord: / discord
Made it to 11 minutes, felt the need to give unsolicited advice and say this: If you look at the mechanics of the game, especially certain laws, and familiarize yourself more with how they work, you could make better decisions. For example the way you have such a massive surplus after switching to laissez-faire (pronounced lessay-fare btw) comes from the higher allocation of construction to the private sector, meaning you need to build up way more construction afterwards or even shortly before the law passes, otherwise you build up investment pool reserves which essentially are unused, cauaong your economy to grow slower than it potentially could. Also switching to cultural exclusion costs you 50 authority, gives a marginal benefit for the few non European anglophone pops, however makes it much harder to pass multiculturalism later on, as most interest groups are satisfied with cultural exclusion and will oppose multiculturalism, whereas they stay neutral on it if segregation is still enacted. Same for taxation reforms among others. Additionally, the wars with China could've been used much more effectively to gain war reparations, key provinces and even release countries to weaken them in the future. And finally, colonies work best if you have one or at most two provinces at once, that way the individual states "grow" faster and you can actually compete with the AI's colony growth. You don't have to min-max and you're of course welcome to play however you like, I for my part think you can improve quite a bit for a more productive experience.
@janipiot I appreciate the help. I'm definitely trying to improve my games. I understand the issues with construction and I am changing that in my future games. I didn't know about the multicultural law not being desired so will 100% implement that. With the wars as this is the first ever Vic3 video I've made, in the most recent video I used war more to my advantage. Thanks
Great vid! If you reduce autonomy of Hanover before the king died they stay as your dominion, and don’t forget to use authority!
Didnt britain do that all the time in history. Especially to the Dutch? 😂
