Valdez pitched a gem! Framchise so underrated!
Don't know how they're underrated when they've been a top tier team for like 5 years in a row now
His HEAD is like a PIT BULL!
They're never underrated. Always a huge threat.
@@larryjones7488 its pretty easy to tell you're butthurt over the braves losing 😂
He's said Framchise*** so underrated. Framchise - as in FRAMber Valdez. The Astros are not underrated. They are hated, but not underrated. As a team they get plenty of recognition, as they should, as the juggernaut that they are. Many individual players are completely unknown to casual baseball fans as many learned tonight watching Framber. Just wait until game 4 when the country learns of Christian Javiers existence. Ask the Yankees about him. They have had the pleasure of facing him a few times.
I can't watch the games but look forward to these MLB synopsis every day not knowing what the final score was. A very exciting 10 minutes and really great baseball being played.

Great pitching by Valdez
He always looks good whenever I watch him
I think he had something in his hair. If you were really watching him you will see what I mean. Playing with his hair then just touching the sweat on his face not wiping it. Just touching it with one or two fingers then he will touch his right wrist. And one of the players saying that they never seen a curveball with movement like that. Never it's not just this guy. Since they stopped them using pinetar. A lot of these. Pitchers all of a sudden they have long hair in the back of their head. Hair gel is sticky and it's more sticky with just a touch of water. I am been saying this for a long time. It's not just last night. The guy look weird the way he was just touching the sweat on his face. He never removed the sweat he only touched it.
@@jimwelsh997 He is not cheating. He is just using a mixture of sweat and rosin.
Seems like one of the umpires suspected the same and seems like here 3:21 he's asking Valdez to show his cap to inspect it. I only learned about the whole scandal with the Astros recently, personally I don't know to what extent these things have been proved (not only with the Astros but with other teams that make it pretty obvious and have been caught) but still I hope the MLB takes action on establishing stricter rules and punishments when it comes to things like this. Takes away the credit of actually being a GOOD pitcher if there's just mid pitchers that can improve their stats with these dirty tricks.

Framber has improved so much this year. The Astros have their ace when/if Verlander leaves.
Hopefully before game 5 . He will lose game 5 again. Just not a clutch pitcher. Proven Fact. 0-7 in WS.
Well if you’ve seen the videos it looks like he’s using some substances on his glove! He kept wiping his finger on his glove and then when he was about to get checked he rubbed the hand on his pants-
@@richardrubin1763 He's a completely different pitcher this year than in seasons past.
@@richardrubin1763 he is 0-6
@@iainsimpson5658 he has shown significant improvement over last year where he was already very good. He was a very good picture last year.
The biggest concern for the phillies to me is that their top 2 starters got tagged 5 runs a piece. Also, the astros bullpen has given up just 4 runs in 33 innings in the playoffs, all solo shots. Teams with runs in scoring position against the bullpen are somewhere around 1 for 30 or 33 (i forget the stat they showed.) Having said that, the phillies are heading home to a very supportive crowd and they've come back numerous times in the playoffs. Also , dusty baker is notorious for leaving pitchers in too long and the phillies can and already have capitalized. It's tough to call, honestly.
Dusty has been regularly taking out pitchers early all year
I'm worried about him starting JV in another game more than anything
I like men
@@keyscup congratulations
@Z A That was his reputation for a while. Fair or not, he was often cited as somebody who did not believe in pitch counts when he was in SF, Chicago, Cincinnati - I don't know if it was the case in Washington or not. And whenever one of his pitchers got hurt, somebody would pull out the stat of how many times that pitcher was left in to throw 120 or 130 or sometimes even 140 (or more) pitches in a game. And then somebody would compile a list of pitchers who had serious injuries after being managed by Dusty. Again, I don't remember if that criticism was fair - pitchers get hurt no matter who is managing them - but it was definitely a knock against him in previous managerial stops.
Good game. Look forward to the rest of the series. Was fun to watch. Great video
Congrats to texas! Wow immediately started like the fire brigade! But the greatest respect to you Phillies, fought to the end and made another one in the 9th! Every fan wishes for something like that, a finale with excitement and an open end to the end! Great fan support on both sides!

How does baseball work? Do you have to run through all bases to score or bat the ball out of the playing field for a score I need help I’m trying to understand baseball
@@zegobot9674 You hit the ball and advance to the 1st base. If you hit it out of the park it's a home run. If the bases are loaded and you hit a home run it's called a Grand Slam.
@@bc_usa so when you hit a ball does the offense have to run to the base before the defense throws the ball back to the defender and touch a offensive player?
Yes
But there is also something called a fowl where it’s about of play ball that is ruled a strike buts you can’t strike out with fowl balls
Two swings of the bat. 2 feet more to the left, a different game. 2 feet more further, different game. That's your difference. And my hats off to the Phillies as an Astros fan. They won't quit no matter what.
Not really, it still would have been 2 and not 3 runs. Admitted that the game would have been much closer tho.
if seguras sac fly was a couple feet to the left its a 3 run hr, astros won the game, but got a lot of things go there way tonight, and were helped in the first by the Phillies poor defense. Should be a close series

Both Jean and Schwarber both had almost home runs that weren't because the ball wasn't being friendly. Nothing went wrong for the Astros in game 2. Everything including luck went your cheating way.
This night was all about the starters. Valdez was on point and his stuff meshes perfectly with what the Phils struggle against. Vice versa, Wheeler was off, his fastball seemed lifeless and even though he pitched gallantly without it, he made a few bad pitches that Houston didn't miss.

I don't know if his bat woke up really, it might have been just one good night for him though. They prob told him to just concentrate on getting base hits and not homeruns. If his bat did infact wake up and the Astros can take a strangle hold on this series that would almost guarantee a WS.

@@bortsampson He shouldn't have to, but we made errors to extend his inning =/
@@R2robot I know but dusty could have taken him out whenever he wanted
We had plenty of time to warm up someone else between innings so that when montero got through his required batters we just plop Abreu or Neris in there for a bit and still use Pressly in the 9th
@@bortsampson Yep. He could have. I expected a mound visit from the pitching coach to break up the inning a bit, but I didn't really feel like a change was needed. He's been pretty clutch.
