@@jroggs85 It’s not just about the score. It’s the circumstances. Both teams are Texan, both tied in stats in reg season, both lost 3 games on home turf, both have excellent managers, both have great offense/defense. And we get a game 7 to decide it all. This game just had everything.

As a Toronto Blue Jays fan, I'm happy to see Marcus Semien succeeding with the Rangers. What a postseason journey for this team, beautiful!
Even though avoided the great hitting of his teammates, he was a big loss for Toronto whose management wouldn't know a good trade if it punched them in the face. I can't support them any longer. Texas took one year to go from afterthoughts to American League champions. I wonder what the odds were of a Rangers-DBacks final (and no, Arizona has to beat an incredible hitting team on the road today for that to happen).
Thanks. Marcus had a great season, leading the Rangers in hits and runs scored, as well as knocking in 100 runs.
Now, let's hope he shows up for the World Series, because he has been MIA in the post-season so far.
Semien is a beast, love watching him.
It all started with Semien. People wondered why he wanted to go there, a team with 100 losses. But it was the first move in a plan that has worked out. Seager I think was the next signing.
He’ll never hit in TX like he did that year in TOR or you guys, but we’re proud of our Ironman!

Congrats to Bruce Bochy and his Rangers on making the World Series from a Giants fan who will forever be grateful for the dynasty he brought us.
The Montgomery move was same as he did with Bumgarner. Was very concerned with Max as starter but Montgomery comes in and the rest is history.
Bochy had some tough years in SF but figured it out unlike the trashy organization we have now.

I moved to Ft Worth when I was 8 years old in 1987. Been a ranger fan for 36 seasons now. Through thick and thin (plenty of thin) I’ve always loved this team. I cried when they beat the Yankees for their first pennant, I cried when they choked away the World Series in 2011, and I cried last night. I need this team to erase the ghosts of 2011. And I think they finally got the right manager and the right mental makeup to do it.
You're in the same place we Giants' fans were in 2010. Don't be afraid of it.

The Rangers' 3rd AL pennant in franchise history as they advance to the World Series for the first time since 2011. Their first-ever Game 7 win in franchise history. The Rangers still have never lost in the ALCS and now that they have won the AL pennant, Bruce Bochy will be the AL manager in next year's All-Star Game which will be at Globe Life Field.
Bochy was the opposing manager when the Giants beat the Rangers in 2010

Its crazy that the Manger for the Texas Rangers has reached the World Series in his first year there. He must be good.
Bruce Bochy is his name. He led the '98 Padres to the WS, but they were destroyed by the Yankees. Then, he led my Giants to the WS in '10, '12, and '14 and they won all three. Now he's come out of retirement, and in his first year back, has led the Rangers to the WS. First manager in MLB history (I believe) to lead 3 different teams into a League Championship series, and now a World Series.
Clearly, he's a future Hall of Famer (or most definitely should be)!

As a Rangers fan, I watched the 2010 and 2011 World Series (I was preteen back then) and it pains me that we never won it with Kinsler, Hamilton, Cruz, and the rest of them but I can’t believe that it felt like 5 minutes had just passed and now we’re back in it. What we do know is Astro's won more WS ALCS and Division titles then your team and everyone else in the past 7 years Astro went 4 times too the WS won 2 went 7 seven straight times too the ALCS won 4 and 6 Division titles along with the Texas sliver boot titles as a Astro fan I am not tripping we have done something so special that no team has done since the Yankees of late 90's and early 00's let's if any other MLB can do all that in just six to seven years

In 2010 I decided to watch them after GaC mentioned they would be a .500 team, but fun to watch.
In 2023, I heard JD was fired, so I figured I'd watch them this season. ESPN mentioned they'd be a .500 team in a rebuilding year, but fun to watch.
I watched the whole year, never imagining they'd get this far, congrats to them. I get lucky whenever I decide to watch this team.
I wasn’t in to baseball at all back in 2010, but I had to go live with my aunt and uncle and they were huge fans, I fell in love. 2012-2013 weren’t great so I fell off, idk why, but this summer I was like life is short and I need some baseball in my life, I took the kids to 12 games this year

As a Mariners fan, I’m glad to say it’s the Texas Rangers, not the Houston Astros, not only representing the AL, but the AL West which was, arguably, the best division in all of baseball. As a fan of a team who’s yet to even make it to a WS, let alone win one, it would be nice to see Texas get that off their back. They got it all, they just need to get over that hump. I love baseball!

Garcia is such a fun player to watch. All his at bats were quality, he's a man on a mission this postseason. Seager was locked in as well, you could tell the Rangers wanted it more and it showed big time. They executed their game plan to perfection

I like the rangers decision to pull max early. Even though they were ahead he didn’t wanna take the chance and rely on him too much. Max is a great pitcher and I’m grateful as a nationals fan for him but even we relied on him too much sometimes

Back when Bochy was with the friars in 84, I met him at a San Diego pent house. Burgundy was hosting his annual hungry hungry hippos poolside party. Boch brought over a strobe light and turned Led Zeppelin up full blast, those games got intense. Our fingers were smashed. Then boch began crocodile rolling everyone in the pool until Baxter scolded him to cut it out. Those were the days. Enough scotch and cocaine to conquer a village.

It was amazing to watch our two Texas teams battle it out in the AL Central this season and end up even. It made so much sense that we would be evenly matched and go to a game 7, credit to both organizations. Rangers get a few days of rest and will be eagerly watching this NLCS game tonight to see who we face off against.

Max Scherzer was the starter in game 7 again too (even though he didn't last long this time, and it makes sense).

@@Jmactt37Max wasn’t terrible. He just didn’t dominate for a full 5+. He has improved in each of his starts since DL activation. But yes Montgomery was the steady long arm in this one. Max gave up 1 run in 3 inning which is a 3.00 ERA over 9 innings that is a quality stat line. But Montgomery was even better.
scherzer gave up 2 runs in 2.2 innings. not very good@@thelastminutegifts
